So far I've been really pleased with every transaction with Next on-line.I ordered a cardigan recently that was very big for the size it was meant to be and they sent me another in that size in case it had been wrongly labelled and a smaller size. Bought a cooker in October 2010. Went faulty in March 2011. Contacted next who were excellent in trying to get the manufacturer to replace a faulty component. The customer service team were fantastic in getting back with updates and after 5 weeks of delays etc they offered to send me a new cooker. Been a Next customer for years with no problems. Thought I would order my Mum some flowers for her bithday which fell on a a Sunday. They were to be delivered by post so ordered 6 days before the date. Did they turn up? no they did not. Should change their name from Next to Never. I put "still waiting" because this site has not got "gave up waiting". When I left school I orderd a suit, I needed a nice suit for genarel formal occasions such as weddings and interviews and thought I would spend about £200. Ordered a Kettle from this pathetic company, during checkout wanted my date of birth!!! For a kettle so I put 1/1/1901 apparently they don't want customers over 100 perhaps something for Age UK to look in to as this stinks of discrimination.

Starting with the good, I have had a next account fro 4 years and regularly order from them for me and the family and if there is any fault with the products they do have really good customer service so thats the good.

I purchased the chloe chest of drawers from Next. It looked lovely in the catalogue, after putting the flat pack £250 chest of drawers together all three of the handles snapped.
The front two legs of the chest are antique shaped but the back two are two rectangle blocks which looks awful!!!
So disappointed, the customer returns number is 5p per min and on the phone for 30 mins, so what ever happens, next have made money out of their faulty furniture.... this is not the first time either… Read Full Review

Terribly misleading website, you have two options when checking out your "basket " one that offers free delivery but whicvh also sends you a catalogue, and one that says delivery is £3.99, the thing is they are both the same. they dont make it clear that both are to open a credit account with them and you cannot pay off the balance on line you have to wait until you have recived an invoice. if you want to make a one off purcahse you cant without having a credit check and opening an account BUT… Read Full Review

Wanted to buy their school uniform and have delivered to home in August 2010 but couldn't pay with a credit/debit card on the website so had to set up an account.
They gave me a £600 limit which was nice and I ordered around £250 worth of school uniform.

Ordered Next made to measure curtains which arrived on time, when I held them up to the window there were marks on them, sent back and waited a further couple of weeks to get a replacement pair, which arrived in the same state, despite asking Next to check material before re-making them!

Next are like Belgium. You never plan to go there, never check to see what they have to offer but if you're in the vicinity, you might just pop in to see if anything has changed, and you walk away disappointed every time.
They advertise products that they don't even have available for sale. Got told to wait over a month which I did, phoned them and got put on hold for 15 mins whilst they attempted to contact the local branch to reserve the item. Got fed up waiting so hung up and phoned again… Read Full Review

Good range of petite clothes but you can't use your credit card to pay. You have to set up an account. That's where the problems begin. Unbelievably - absolutely breathtakingly unhelpful - customer service. No link to be reminded of a password. You have to email with information that includes your date of birth. Absolute nightmare trying to get a refund on a faulty luggage set. Only used twice since owned and on the second trip the stitching came apart but Next arent willing to take responsibilty and blame the airline. Ive owned £5 suticases that are still going strong after regular use over 5 years. I only purchased this set from Next as i wanted a pink set - more fool me!!! Even when i first ordered it i had to take it back as it was damaged when received.

I have been a customer of Next Online Directory for many years and have always found the service and quality of both clothing and home furnishings exceptional.
The school uniforms are of excellent quality, sizing and styling and wash very well and are also good value for money.

I really like Next clothing and generally find that they are good about doing refunds and exchanges with or without receipts. The only fault I would make is that I don't think Next Directory should claim next day delivery because it is very rare to receive the item the following day and can in fact take weeks… Read Full Review

There is only one thing that can be said about Next Online Directory - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I ordered a pair of trousers over two and a half weeks ago and I have yet to receive them. Placed an order on-line with their directory but wanted to just use a cash card payment (the same way other shops work). They then cancelled my account and cancelled my order allowing me to make the purchase using cash transaction on-line.

I only shop at Next when I'm prepared to treat myself to something a little more expensive than usual. I am really disappointed with my latest purchase and am feeling nervous about my other items on order which aren't currently in stock. WORST experience with Next online shopping. BEWARE and check your bank statement because they took twice as much as the quoted price and NEVER TOLD ME until I check my statement and found out.
