I made my claim with Elephant car insurance in September 2005. It's still on-going today in August 2006. Elephant Car Insurance were by far the cheapest insurer for me, even after shopping around. Exactly what you pay is explained to you in either your quotation or renewal notice, and the call centre staff are really friendly and helpful. The call centre is even in the UK!

Elephant Car Insurance - After an accident that was not my fault, with an independent witness, my car was written off. Quite why, I'm not sure as I went to an independent garage afterwards and was told damage was nowhere near the value of the vehicle (not, however, Elephant's fault at this stage).
