I Was going to go elsewhere aswell as my new quotes were £100 cheaper but I couldn't be bothered and thought I'd stick with these and now it its costing me almost £300 more than if i'd of moved. £170 for 3 points. Bunch of disgusting people!

I am absolutely appalled by the way my claim has been and still is being handled. As a single mother of 3 children I have to make it to work to pay the bills. I totaled my 2014 cadilac srx almost 6 weeks ago. I was forced to rent cars to get back and forth to work. I couldnt afford to keep doing that so I went and bought a car and have been forced to finance it due to the fact I still have not been paid off on my total loss of my paid for vehicle. I have never heard of an insurance company taking 6 weeks to pay out on a claim. The vehicle still sits in my driveway and I have yet to see an adjuster come to my house and complete this claim the way that 85 % of most insurers. No sign of an adjuster and no sign of a check. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION CONSUMERS AND SHOP ELSE WHERE! The customer service has been absolutely rude, combative and argumentative as well....who in their right mind treats their loyal, monthly paying customers this way?

Terrible Insurance company, Prices are very high and I personally think that an insurance company should be on your side... that is what they are paid for. However I found that when I had a minor accident, I was claimed against and not notified of the claim until my renewal (Which was 5 month after the event). Overall they are a terrible insurer and I would not recommend them to anyone.

No problem during the 3 years I've been insured, buy while canceling my car insurance the call centre operators told me to go to the website and follow the instructions. The website tells us to phone them to cancel, and to retrieve the 'proof of no claims' document the page they tell us to seek (no link provided) it cannot be found.... horrible experience...been trying to cancel it for 3 hours.

I had a no-fault claim which should have been straightforward, but more than a year later I am over £2,000 out of pocket and some elements of my claim have still not been completed -- largely because of the astonishing incompetence of their legal wing Elephant Law (I am currently on my 4th case handler). Their customer service staff are entirely focused on trying to cut down your claim, or -- better still -- demonstrate that your insurance is invalid by asking you the same set of questions every time you call and pouncing on any inconsistencies. I don't have high expectations of insurers, but Elephant really plumb new depths and I will never use them (or, to be on the safe side, any Admiral group insurers) ever again. If they turn up cheapest on a price comparison site, do yourself a big favour and move on.

I was with Elephant car insurance and had an accident on 31 Dec 2015,and still ongoing yes its Jan 2017. A very straight forward case as i was hit from behind at traffic lights. Unfortunately i decided i go with my insurance with this claim as i would be easy and no hassle. But i was wrong as the Elephant law aka BDElaw are incompetent of there work and especially with there customers service. God help us if you get a case handler from them. the case handler will definitely mess your accident case up.I might recommend it to my enemy. please please do not go with this company.

I have been with elephant for 14 years, owning a classic mini and with 14 years no claims. I recently brought a Seat Leon fr while I was in the process of selling the mini I asked if I could insure both cars on one policy, which they agreed to quoting £61 pm for both cars, not bad considering I was paying £42 pm for the mini alone. On selling the mini I was contacted by elephant with my new policy quoting £58 pm for my Leon, when asking why it was almost as much to insure one car now as it was two cars, they said it was because the Leon was a higher performance car than the mini (even though they were happy to insure both on one policy for £30.50 each) After cancelling some of the cover on my policy, (as this was the only way they would bring the price down) I settled on £46 pm. This continued for two years, with the car being parked on a small driveway. This week we moved to a new house, with the car being parked outside of the house, in a quiet area. This has given them the excuse to bump my insurance up to £55.22 pm now, even though my g/f has just notified Direct line of the change of address on her insurance and they have knocked £6 off her insurance, even though she has only been with them 12 months and has 4 years no claims. My policy is up in March 2017 and I won't be going back, as in 14 years my insurance has gone from £745 to £480. So judge for yourselves.

Terrible service whilst trying to get through to make a change to my policy just kept on hold despite the message saying my call is important to the company at the time of me writing this review it was 29 minutes and I am still on hold disgusting

Having changed my car on my policy to a less powerful model they added 180 pound on my premium which i had to pay to as i had been on 9 months for my no claims. They knew they had me by the balls. No good reasons apart from a load of wish wash. Bad customer service.. I would certainly not recommend this mo ey grabbing company.

Sad to say extensive cover doesn't guarantee, car ran into me from behind and claimed my fault. The stats Road layout and position of damage illustrate blame but company avoids pay out. Having so many basic elements and so much sub contract one division doesn't talk to another have spent 20-30 hours on calls with them. pls don't insure with them whilst you don't have accidents great when you do you know why they're cheap. It's illegal to have no insurance surely then it should be illegal to offer mal practice.

I was deceived when requested a quote from a Customer Representative. He was able to look up my information from his computer and told me that I will receive the same coverage. He lied to me. Now I am stuck trying to find Insurance. This was the worst experience ever.

THIS COMPANY TARGETS YOUNG DRIVERS AND WHEN THEY HAVE ACCIDENTS DO NOT WANT TO COVER THE CONSEQUENCES OF INNOCENT PUBLIC

Insured with this company and my policy has just doubled in price. I havent claimed and when I rang to ask why my quote was so high .I was told the claim for a windscreen was a factor. Disgraceful ......rubbish customer service and they tried to debit my account for 700. Instead of the 277 I paid ...shocking...

I bought my sons car insurance from Elephant, they missed a document that had been sent, the no claims bonus notification. they then deducted 149 pounds from my account for non compliance. my son complained and After 10 calls...TEN,in which he was told the money would be repaid, they tell he they will deduct 25 pounds from the amount???? he did not argue (as many people don't, which I can't understand) however we are STILL waiting for the money, it is Bizarre, how incompetent do you have to be to make yourself look bad, because that is what it amounts to. if you want hassle free insurance DON'T use Elephant. I would have liked to see a facebook page on this company, it may have shed light on the troubles ahead.

Waste of time iv had nothing but problems since the claim date. Its alwas me chasing them for info and to get the heads up on things and the progression of the claim etc. They never once have phoned me by this i mean dialing my number always by email which i dont always see. They have not handled this well at all which has left me hanging and very angry. I can see why people to deive around without insurance bceause it is a waste of time effort and money but you cant drive a 13k car without it! But unfortunately due to some inconsiderate young lady from liverpool who was behind me when i indicated to turn left and when taking the turn hit my rear quarter/alloy causing suspension and body damage are trying to blme me for the accident bcause she said i cut her up which is totally wrong and elephant cant see that. Iv had sleepness nights because of this and its really frustrating me. I dont no what else i can do because i dont feel as if they are taking into account the damage caused to my car and everything iv told them and that they just aren't listening to me. What can i do?? They are trying to say im at fault? I really dont rate elephant at all iv had nothing but agro you may aswell not be insured because I certainly dont feel like it.

I went with elephant because of my age and they where cheep but added legal cover to my policy. This was a mistake. I had a crash. I was stood still in traffic and elephant have taken the other party's side. This has cost me the repairs to my vehicle because they wanted to write my car off. And my no claims. Totaly let me down when I needed them the most. Do not use elephant and if you do. The legal cover they sell is not worth the paper it's wrote on.

Elephant have been brilliant in helping to deal with my non-fault claim and Elephant law have successfully won my case against the third party. However I have now been waiting for near on 4 months to receive back my excess from the incident in December 2015. I have been informed the case is settled and the third party insurer has paid out and I am in a back log waiting for somebody to be bothered to simply write a cheque and put it in the post. not good enough I'm afraid.

I was initially very happy with my policy but 9 months in, I moved home to - in fairness - a higher risk area. However, Elephant wanted to charge me the ridiculous sum of £195 per month for the remaining 3 months (my original policy was £70 pm)I couldn't believe that this had been calculated correctly and, sure enough, the quote for a totally new policy was less than £100 per month. I was told there was nothing I could do to change the £195 per month figure, and that I would have to cancel my policy and take out a new one to get a fair price - meaning I paid a £50 cancellation charge and lost out on 9 months towards a no claims bonus.

Elephant was quick and easy to use.The site was self explanatory and easy to navigate. The overall cost of the insurance was the best on the net for comprehensive cover. Would recommend

Exactly the same happened to me in Feb 2016. This case still going. my case handler
never pick up the phone and communication happen once every 4 months or so when I really push for it. We have formally complaint in June and things has not changed at all.
Very slow processes and they pushing me to accept 50/50 when I'm not at fault at all.
I've told them I will take the other party to a court. I don't expect the whole thing to be resolved by 2019 :(
