I have read the comments on this car much to my amusement. I am not a boy racer, but trust me I can drive and I have had more cars than most. Most of comments respond to comments already made by others.

Performance... From 2ltrs and 16 valves I expect more but the grunt is adequate and more impo ...

I would recommend this car to anyone. It looks like a standard 306 until you put your foot down or see the small GTi-6 badge on the back. I've seen off lots of higher powered cars, including a Subaru Imprezza (just).

I bought the Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi car cos my insurance had gone down and wanted something with a bit of grunt. So far I have to say the 306 has done me well. Puts a lot of cars to shame and sounds great past 4 thousand revs. To be honest I did expect a bit more performance for a 2 ltr but it isn't br ...

I have no idea what sort of XSi you were driving to give such a bad review. How can you say the car does 0-60 in over 10 secs, I only have the Peugeot 306 2Ltr 8V and I get 0-60 in less than 8 seconds, beats most Golfs off the line. I think you must have had a bad one there. Great car, could be more ...

The Peugot 306 is absolutely terrible on fuel, couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding does 0-60 in about 3.5 days. Worst car ever that I have brought only had it about 2 months and thinking of getting rid of the dead horse already and to top that the brakes make a deep groaning noise under heavy ...

I have had one for 3 years, and really enjoyed the car. Beware of dodgy Peugeot main dealers... my clutch was a bit sticky at the beginning and they advised me the whole thing needed replacing for over £500. I took it to a local garage, and only the wire needed changing for £30!! Insu ...

I have had my Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi for about 2 months now, I really love it! I can beat a lot of cars off the line and for most of the race as well. Handeling is so good and the braking has saved me a few times in the wet allready. There is lots of room in the boot and in the back, The interior is so ...

I have a Peugeot 306 2.0 S16 which is the same as the XSi in europe. I am in Perth WA. Made 94. having read a number of the other reviews it seems that there must be some very poor examples of the S16 [XSi] in UK. Without modification 0 to 100 km in 9.2 secs.
I have lights or warnings that dont wor ...

I have a question for the people who have left positive reviews for the Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi; what piece of rubbish were you driving before you owned the xsi? I recently replaced a Golf mk2 Gti for one of these and I am baffled as to how a car manufacturer can make a car this bad. Aside from the poo ...

The Peugeot 306 2.0 XSi is a good warm hatch with handling that is truly gobsmacking. The amount of feel through the steering and the seat wouldn't disgrace a true sports car, and lovely, controllable oversteer is but a feather of the throttle away. Like most Peugeots it also rides beautifully, yet ...
