What can I say? Absolutely amazing. Amazon are fantastic. I've made over 50 orders with Amazon whilst being a customer and all I can say is that every one has had the same experience. Delivery on time. The one or two orders that were a day late - on first class, I was compensated for. Dispatch is always within 24-48 hours and I've never had any issues. I have ordered a few things from Amazon over the past 18 months or so and always found their service excellent. Delivery is always fast even with the free delivery service, and the products always as described. Prices are good, not always the best, but always good. The one time I have had an issue was with a delivery of books being left out in the rain by the delivery company. Amazon's return policy is excellent. “Very good, only let down occasionally by delivery...”

Good prices (although they do tend to fluctuate daily, due to Amazon's policy of matching other similar retailers' sales) and they've always been good when I've contacted them with an issue. However, they are occasionally let down by some of the courier services they use. YODEL in particular we've had problems with and have let Amazon know about it when they've been the ones delivering particular items. I love everything about this company. I have never had to call them because everything just works. I order, I pay and I get my product - simple! Carrying on a trial automatically is pretty much standard practice across the board, whether it's with a retailer or a separate subscription service. Maybe it could've been made clearer, but you should ALWAYS assume something like this is going to carry on unless you cancel it.

When I forgot to opt out in time £49 was taken from my account. I called Amazon and they couldn't have been any nicer. The money was credited and after 3 days I had my money back. The small print on Amazon Prime clearly states that it is a trial and after I think it's 28 days if not cancelled then £49 will be debited from your account.

The small print in the email they send AFTER opting in to the trial stated that you need to cancel or have the money debited. BUT this should be disclosed BEFORE you click to opt in.

This is why companies have a link to terms and conditions and a tick box to say you have read and understood them.

Amazon will ONLY refund the money if you have not used the prime service outside the trial period. So if you accidently order something the day after not knowing that the trial is over or that you have even had the charge then they will not make a refund.

My issue is the failure to disclose the terms and conditions prior to acceptance and relying on a follow up email with these hidden at the bottom - on friend who has thanked me for raising recieved 6 emails from Amazon on the day this was sent and again it does not request that you tick to say you have read and understood....

I just think it is extremely unethical and pretty sure it breaches any financial agreement for a debited amount given that there is no check made that you have read and understood the terms of contract.

I am glad you have your money back but I am sure there are many that have not been so lucky!!!

It's clearly stated on the website under Prime---> 'Help and FAQs'. It's not in small print, it's written in something you should have read before agreeing to the Prime account. Sure, Amazon should prompt you to do so, but in order to avoid problems like this you should have just read the help section.

Amazon was recently offering the Logitech M235 wireless mouse for approximately £6. I ordered one and awaited delivery.
