I bought the Webley Tempest .22 air pistol when they first came out (and I had hair). You can't really fault it. It is pretty accurate, fairly powerful (approx 3 ft/lbs), and good fun. I lost count of how many pellets I've put through it a long time ago, and all with no problem. Wipe with an oiled c ...

I bought an Webley Tempest .22 this morning at a car boot sale. It looked a right shed of a pistol, but I've always fancied one of these so I handed over a few quid and looked forward to a bit of work.
Initially it was a bit rattly to fire as a test, so on with the stripping!
It took quite a whil ...

Why not improve your Webley Tempest .22 like I did with mine? I bought my .22 a few weeks ago and overall, I really like it. The sights are "adequate" rather than good though. My gun shoots high and to the right, but is fun to use. Okay to the mods...
I stripped the gun and polished the terrible tr ...

After only having the Webley Tempest .22 Air Pistol a few days I am feeling dissapointed. With the rear sight all the way up it still shoots low! This is due to poor design in the spring/piston powerplant. The spring is compressed towards the front sight and when released drives the piston toward ...

Webley Tempest .22 Air Pistol : Sighting was a bit of a challenge for the distance. The rear sight set all the way to it's top end. The left and right sighting not an issue. Of the 5 shots fired 4 hit within rings 5-9. At 106 feet from muzzle to target I think that this was very exceptional. I found ...

I got given a Webley Tempest pistol about 2 years ago I have used the gun loads, mainly because it is easy to transport and fire, it has plenty of power(enough to kill a rabbit at 20 yards) and is quick to reload, but if you are looking at this gun for target practice you are missing the piont.

Well I got my Tempest 21 years ago after hassling my parents for an air rifle for months. It cost around £45 back then and I still have it. Its had a mainspring replaced (I didnt know if it needed it but thought after about 15 years it might do no harm) and the breech washer. Other than the We ...

I bought my .177 Webley Tempest some 15 years ago and I still have it, and it's in good shape. That's enough to recommemd it as far as quality is concerned. I didn't use it quite so often because I'm left handed, so I eventually got around to making customer grips out of some scrap birch. I had t ...

Yes the Webley Tempest.22 is not a cheap gun but it's a winner. VERY accuarate and built to last. I have a lot of CO2 guns and this is better than all of them for accuracy. The only gun that beats this is a Brocock .22 air cartridge pistol. (Stunning power & accuracy but about to be outlawed in ...

My tempest shoots 13.8 gr BSA elites at 348fps with very nice accuracy. More than enough to kill rats. 8 last year.....The tempest is the kind of pistol that once you pick it up it is hard to put down. A great gun to take on a picnic or fishing if you fancy a bit of plinking. Overall one of my favo ...
