There method of operation seems to be let customers build up a balance at a reasonable APR then once it's high increase the APR to 35% Smacks of dirty tricks to me. They are fools because I will tell as many people as I can and close the account ASAP!

I applied online and skim read the paperwork. Now 8 months later I realise I am being charged interest on amounts I spend, before the statement has arrived. This I am told is common practise (not with my other 2 cards). Also when I said I wanted to pay off the amout I had spent and leave just the tr ...

Having opened up the credit card with the basic offer I noticed a creeping interest rate, with th end result that I eventually got a letter saying that they would be increasing the rate to 34%. I immediately rang up to pay off the balance, at which point they offered to reduce it. It appears that Vi ...

Having applied online for a Virgin credit card and requested balance transfers from other cards, Virgin set a credit limit lower than the ammounts they transferred. when I recieved the first statement I had an overlimit fee of £12 applied and this was the first time I had been informed of the ...

The interest rates on the Virgin Credit card seem extortionate and they have VERY poor customer service; after paying a large sum of my balance off, I was phoned up and asked "where did you get this money to pay off from sir?"! After which they said that "Due to your spending patterns we are reducin ...

I sent my cheque for payment via first class mail five days before payment was due.
I felt that this was ample time to honour payment and not to incur an interest charge. However I was stunned to see a charge on my account for interest when I accessed my details online.
I phoned Virgin customer serv ...

Once I got through they refunded me all of the interest and late payments (around £800) and gave me the interest free period.
General muck-up on their part. Their system took the d/d details, but for some reason it kept the 1st ammount outstanding, this carried on for 7 months until I noticed ...

After a year or so of absolutely fine service, then suddenly decided to hike my interest rate up from 14.9% to 26.4% over a period of six months. When I complained, I was told that the interest rates were at the discretion of Virgin, and could not be changed. Considering that new customers are being ...

Having transferred two credit cards over to a Virgin Money card with a 0% interest period, I paid the first minimum payment before my due date and then about a week later paid more than twice the minimum payment I expected for the next statement to ensure I would not miss a payment. Despite this, Vi ...
