Had bike for 6 months upgraded the wheels to halo combats running full sram x-9 gears and avid r v-brakes and must say it flies whatever you do on it solid frame and components on it will upgrade to avid juicy 5 disc brakes eventually

I purchased my Hard Rock specialized in 2001 and use it strictly with road tires on pavement for my workouts. I'm 62 years old and weigh 175lbs and typically bike between 60-100 miles per week. I am not a huge fan of the Specialized Hardrock mountain bike, the frame it pretty good, its quite hard and tough but other than that there is not much else to say about it

Good bike. Nice bike good for entry level people who are just getting into mtb and learning mtb skills. I found that the front forks were pretty bad though.

This is a fun bike to ride. i've tried it on soft dirt, packed dirt, knobs, tree roots, gravelly loops, water filled loops, switch backs up and down, over grass, attacked steep hills. i'm planning to get a full suspension bike next year but i dont see myself ever getting rid of my sport. if not, i'l ...

Great Bike! The Specialized Hardrock runs very smoothly. I had some trouble when shifting gears on one occasion but other than that its a great bike.

I bought my Specialized Hardrock 18 months ago and it has been brilliant, it handles anything I can throw at it. it is great out on the trails, it grips and stops very well and it is good for going round town too.
