“Superb service, great cars!”

We have just come back from a wonderful 15 day holiday in Mojacar. We did our homework and a lot of research on the different car hire companies and came across these guys who mainly had far better reviews. I can say they fully lived up to expectations! The shuttle bus was waiting for us, 3 minutes to their impressive compound and away in a brand new car in less than 10 minutes. We don´t ever want clients to feel under any undue pressure when it comes to additional cover but at the same time we do have a responsibility to ensure taht clients are aware of their responsibilities under the contract and of course when on holiday it is always best to ensure you have complete peace of mind.

It´s worth mentioning that our Ultimate rate is a complete all inclusive car hire package with no extras to worry about, no deposits and no full insurance needed.

We hired a car for a week. We were to be collected from the airport. There was nothing but chaos. When we arrived at the centre which is more than two minutes away. We' were given a car that had no hub caps. Front driver wing was bashed in. Rear passenger wing very badly scraped, front passenger wing badly scratched and the inside filthy. I am sorry if you feel unhappy with the service received. Sometimes, as with all hire companies there are minor damages (scratches etc) on cars as it would be impossible to repair a car after every scratch. We always however strive to keep the fleet in an excellent condition and 90% of our cars are less than six months old (in fact in the last few weeks almost all of the fleet has been replaced for the summer).

Certainly inside cleanliness is ofparamount importance to us and we use a firm of professional valeters who prepare every car. If you were unhappy with the condition of the car you only had to tell this to our staff and we would have looked to change it if possible and indeed speak with the valeters if there was any issue.

We are sorry that you were dissatisfied but we do hope that we can serve you again in the future.

I have been scamed twice using drivala the first time I was charged 200. euro for scratches on front wheel trims that where plainly there when I collected the second time I was charged 190 euro for a small scratch not much bigger than a finger nail when 1 REFUSED TO PAY THEY REFUSED TO RETURN US TO THE AIRPORT I WAS FORCED TO HIRE A TAXI with me was my wife and disabled sister in a wheel chair they used my previous details to remove the money from my account without permission they know you… Read Full Review

Dear Customer,

Firstly we would like to thank you for choosing Drivalia. Comments such as this are very rare and I have looked into the matter. We only have one customer who has been charged twice for damages so thankfully I was able to track down your bookings.

Whilst it would be inappropriate to comment in detail here we will provide a personal response if you email our customer care team.

I can say that we keep very strict controls of damages and only charge for new damages. On our low cost packages the customer does need to pay for any damages that occur. We have very strict control measures which include multiple inspections before every rental and of course all customers are given a list of recorded damages so that they can check that they agree with the condition of the car before leaving.

You have to understand that we charge for damages only on low cost bookings. If you book our all inclusive car hire which is the most popular then there is no risk but on bookings such as this we have to cover the costs to us if damages occur, even if they are small.

I note from these bookings that the usual charge for being a senior driver over 75 years was not charged on either rental. This in itself is a testimony to the fact that we are not here to try to obtain money for no reason, we try to offer the very best deals to our clients but we do have to charge for damages.

I have spoken to the colleague who attended you and to clarify, when a damage is found we have to have a signed damage report. Of course if for any reason you disagree you can write this on but your statement must be completed. You refused to complete the form even to deny responsibliity and my colleagues simply said that we must either take a payment or at least complete this form.

We did not take money from previously used details and we would nener do this. When a customer takes a car and chooses not to contract full coverage we take a preauthorised amount for the excess from their credit card. This is a PIN verified transaction authorising us to charge this amount for damages.

We are sorry if you are not satisfied with the service we offer but we do assure you that we take our customer care very seriously and alays strive to deliver a great level of service which is backed up by the countless positive reviews we receive on this very site.

I have used Drivalia regularly over the past few years. They offer great service and transparent pricing. There are no hidden extras that bump up the cost of your car hire at the point of collection. The disadvantage of off site is made up for by the efficient transfer procedure and no queues at the rental office when you arrive. Cars are new and clean and as described when booking. “Great experience with Drivalia.”

Rented the Fiat 500 for 6 days in Mallorca! Shuttle bus was already waiting and in 5 minutes we arrived in Drivalia office. Staff was very professional and suggested best car wich was clean and almost new. When returning there were no questions asked, just a check if fuel tank is full and that's it. Having tried most of the car rentals at Alicante Airport finding Drivalia has been the best experience of them all, I now book direct with them and take out their full insurance for peace of mind. Instead of queing endlessly in the airport all you need to do is go downstairs where a minibus picks you up and drives a couple of minutes away.
