“Insist on a Refund”

I ordered flowers for a friends funeral and they didn't turn up. I had the same experience as many others i.e customer service didn't want to know and were very unsympathetic. I began emailing Lillian Rose Flowers who first tried to tell me the Funeral Directors had signed for them, when I sent them proof that this was not the case the decided a neighbor had signed for them! After many emails it was obvious that they could not provide proof of delivery. Truth is they had no idea where the flowers were and didn't care. They use a third party deliver company so could only send me a copy of a scribble and no evidence of delivery address. Probably the drivers signature who dumped them. Despite only spending £40.00 I took LRF to court and got my money back out of principle. It's very easy through HM Courts & Tribunals Service (Moneyclaim.gov.uk). It's takes about 10 mins to complete your claim and £25 which you will get back along with the cost of your flowers. So if they didn't deliver what you have ordered please do the same and hopefully this dreadful and unprofessional company will go out of business.

WARNING TO EVRYONE NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY poor poor service I ordered flowers same day delivery for my sisters 30th birthday and they never arrived, I sent an email asking where they were and the company emailed me back the next day saying the local florist had an emergency and couldn't deliver but would deliver the flowers today and again the flowers never arrived tried ringing no answer asked for a refund and not had a reply do not waste your money here!!! how this company is still trading I will never know. utterly disgraceful

“Disgraceful”

Despite being advised of a delivery time this was not kept to, and the delivery arrived at 6.30pm instead of 3pm when it was supposed to - after my partner had left work for home at 5pm. A caretaker signed for them and then they'll sit for three days until my partner is back in the office. Customer services is a joke, not even an apology. Shoddy service, shoddy delivery, shoddy customer services and by the time Monday arrives and she cam collect them, probably shoddy flowers too. Avoid at all costs.

“Awful in every way”

Paid over £44 for the flowers with next day delivery,thank God it wasn’t for a funeral as they arrived a day late in a crumpled box with several of the heads loose in the box also sent photos of them. I explained to them I wasn’t at my friends house any more so therefore could not take more photos .A very disappointed customer.

“Awful company poor management skills”

Very bad company closes early due to short staff no wonder no one wants to work there, they took my money and apparently delivered to my neighbour, when I spoke with my neighbour there was no package and further more the name they used for the person supposedly signed for it was not my neighbours name. After admitting they had been delivered to the wrong address they did not honour a new bunch for my sisters birthday and further more will not refund my money back. They say there is no corresponding contact number and only to txt or email. I would recommend not to use this company that will spoil your special surprise for the person not only sending but receiving the flowers!!!!!

“Terrible service”

Used this service as they offered same day delivery. An hour before the flowers were supposed to be delivered I received a text to say there was a problem with the order and they would be delivered the next day. Instead. I needed them that day. No one to speak to - everything done very impersonally by text. Do not trust this service to deliver on time.

All the poor reviews speak volumes if only I had read them before using this awful company. I bought flowers that arrived 4 days after the pre- arranged delivery date and were dying. Asked for a refund and was told it was my fault for changing the delivery date. (My daughter admitted to hospital as emergency and would not be home) I had explained this so another date was agreed in writing. Complete lack of care, consideration and very obstructive, will try everything to avoid refunding. Have escalated my complaint to Trading Standards and Consumer Rights have also emailed BBC watchdog, this company should not be allowed to trade with such appalling customer service, quality and standards.

I had some shocking news about a dear friend who lives far away from me. I immediately thought of sending her some flowers and never having used this kind of service before I just chose randomly. I was SO impressed with how easy it was to place my order and I even had a personal phone call to confirm the postcode was correct.The flowers arrived the next day and were beautiful. Thank you SO much. I will certainly be recommend you and use you again myself.

“Poor quality”

I ordered flowed for a funeral. They charge £36 for 3 roses to be delivered. For this price in my opinion you expect something a little bit special. The flowers arrived on time but were half dead and wilted. When I complained they stated that the lady who received them was not very pleasant. This lady was the wife of the deceased and it was the day of his funeral. How unprofessional of them. This has nothing to do with the state of the flowers. I would not advise anyone to use this place. Poor quality, overpriced and shocking customer service. Keep away

Dear Lillian Rose, I don't normally complain about service, but your customer service by any standard has been very poor. 1. I asked for delivery of flowers on a special anniversary day being a Friday or at worst a Saturday. You delivered the flowers on the following Monday. 2. Follow up emails with yourselves requesting for an explanation of the late delivery have been completely ignored. 3. I note from seeing other reviews, my experience is not isolated. I'm surprised you remain in business!! 4. Your website is good. But your customer service very poor.

“Fake; don't buy from here ”

This 'florist' has taken my money of over 50 pounds without delivering the flowers. They sold themselves as being able to deliver the flowers the same day, however in the last minute they cancelled. I asked for a refund which they still hadn't given me. The flowers are overpriced, delivery unreliable and costumer service terrible. I had called earlier that day to reconfirm if they could deliver on that same day, which they said yes. However they had left it until late afternoon to tell me they were unable to. Meaning that all other florists were closed. I was lucky enough to find another florist and call them, explaining the situation. Even though it was after hours, they were kind enough to hand deliver the flowers for the same day. The other florists were much cheaper, better flowers, and even the delivery charge was less than half in comparison to these florists. Could not warn customers more to stay away from these florists; completely unreliable and only here to take your money. When they advertise 'same day delivery', they actually mean no delivery. You will make a card payment online, and once the transaction is done, you will not see your money back. An absolute joke, and surprised as to why this company has not been reported yet.

“Non delivery of flowers”

I ordered flowers for from lillian Rose Flowers for my daughter's 50th birthday which was on the 16th September 2018. I ordered them on Thursday 13th September for delivery on the 15th September. The flowers did not turn up! After several emails, one of which suggested they may have gone to another house they declined to offer me a full refund and said they would deliver them on Monday.I refused to take them on Monday as too late for my daughter's birthday. Told me I had to abide by the contract even though I paid £7.99 for the Saturday delivery which was not next day delivery anyway. In view of all the reviews on various websites and my not receiving what was paid for,I have contacted Barclaycard to report this matter. Very fortunate to have paid with Barclaycard. I have also reported the non delivery to Trading Standards and other authorities for them to look into.No point in writing reviews and doing nothing else about it.If people are not happy with transactions involving money, just report it to the appropriate authorities.

ORDERED FLOWERS AND PAID £7.99 EXTRA FOR 3 HOUR DELIVERY AND FUNNILY ENOUGH THEY 'COULDN'T DELIVER'. TRIED TO CALL THEM BUT THEY SAID THERE IS NO ONE THERE TO SPEAK TO. “Cancelled order but they kept my money”

Ordered flowers for funeral when checking on order following morning was told I had to pay more money as I hadn't ordered from their specific funeral flowers site. I cancelled order and was told I'd get a refund. However they now giving me the run around and haven't refunded anything. This company obviously has issues and I would go elsewhere.

“An experience never to be repeated!”

Ordered flowers early morning Tuesday for delivery same day. Totally bored sounding lady took the order and payment but could hardly get off the phone quickly enough. Flowers not delivered on Tuesday, message left asking me to ring but no answer as after hours. Rang Wednesday morning, same girl, same bored attitude, said they hadn't been delivered owing to the florist having an emergency. Promised them for Wednesday. Discovered Wednesday evening not delivered. Phoned Thursday morning and girl - again not interested - said I had to email or text customer services. I asked her if she could chase things up for me and she said no and repeated the mantra of 'contact customer services'. I said she sounded as if she just couldn't care less and guess what - 'contact customer services' was the reply. I have never received such poor service from a company. Customer services answered my email to say the flowers were on the van for delivery that morning and that the reason for,the delays was that the florist had two emergencies! I will never use this company again and would never recommend it to anyone. As the phone number appeared to be a Chippenham number I assumed it was a shop and only found out later that if was only an online business. It would have been better to simply pick a florist in Chippenham, phone them and give them the business. The flowers arrived Thursday morning but what a stressful experience.

“Avoid. Worst Service ever! Unbelievably incompetent &...”

Here's a copy of what I sent to this firm at 12.15pm today. I've waited some hours (it's now 7.45pm!) to allow these persons a right of reply, but of course; these amateurs can't even be bothered! : Hello. My Mother-in-Law received her flowers yesterday afternoon in Glenrothes, Fife. Thank you. I had called in the afternoon and can only hope that the lady I spoke with on the phone, when ordering the flowers, feels better soon.. I know a lot of us hate our jobs... but surely there is no need to convey this to the public via an attitude that can be described by many words... but I will go with just a few: • bad (the first adjective to come in to my head!) • substandard • unsatisfactory • unpleasant • adverse and... let’s end with another adjective .... there are so many to describe this person’s manner: • impertinent (Monotone, unhappy voice)“There’ll be a Delivery Charge” Okaaaay.... Would you mind perhaps telling me! what the cost for this would be? or should I just guess?! To be fair, she did tell me.... after I had to ask?! Perhaps it may have been more prudent to say... “The price Sir/Madam will be £ ... with a Delivery Charge of £ ...” The above is only one short excerpt from what can be described as ... an uncomfortable experience. One has to suggest that a Customer Service Course could be convened for this lady... There are many .... Trust me... I’ve been on a few.... This lady... really NEEDS to attend one! I trust you may realise that I, along with my friends and Family etc, will not require your services in future. Regards

Oh! Dear, I ordered some flowers for a fellow member of a tennis club who is recovering from an awful car accident and after reading reviews here, I am concerned. I ordered and paid by telephone. Later I rang to request a receipt; I was told they were sent out at the end of the day. Twenty four hours later, still no receipt. I am now anxious that the flowers will not arrive on time and to add insult to injury, will not be fresh. Under the circumstances, that would be awful. What should I do?

If it were me I would say "if they cannot be delivered on time I would like an immediate refund as the recipient will not be there to receive them and they cannot be left with a neighbour." Hope this helps.

I ordered what looked like a beautiful bouquet from them and what arrived was completely unlike the photo on their website. It was embarrassing. They are rude and unhelpful and simply do not care. I would imagine after Valentine's Day you are not the only person complaining, hence you have had no reply. This company seem to have got to the top of a Google search and that lures us in...but do not be under any illusion that your complaint or dissatisfaction as a paying customer will be dealt with professionally, it won't be. I seem to remember not giving up in pursuing them for a refund which I think I eventually got in part. But I think that was only because I wouldn't go away. I'm sorry to say that you might just have to join me in the lesson learnt club.

No. Never received any flowers, after ordering a "lovely" bouquet for my mother's 80th. But after making a big fuss, i did get my money back. You probably will get a refund eventually if you keep trying, though it does not compensate for the disappointment they cause, over and over again.

I really cannot answer that question. I was recipient of a unsuccessful bouquet. My Brother was the sender. He did manage to get £20 returned which was 40%. The claim would have to come from him personally. I have read in the reviews that someone was reporting them to Trading Standards, but what came of it; I do not know.

I am going to speak to citizens advice about reporting them. There is something very suspect about this company. I paid on credit card so am going to raise a dispute this way as I doubt they will sort a refund for me. I was fobbed off on the phone and no response to any emails. I am so cross.

I have been let down by this company as well. They take your money, deliver late and send you inferior, very small flowers for the price and then shut all communications down. They will not respond to you at all.

The reviews on this site are very different from the testimonials included on the Lillian Rose Flowers website which are all very complimentary, I was very disappointed with the flowers sent to a funeral and complained to Lillian Rose Flowers and was offered replacement flowers or 'some sort of refund'. As it was too late for replacement flowers, I asked for a refund which I would add to my donation to the Macmillan Nurses. Since then I have received no reply to several emails. I wondered whether they are obliged to honour their offer of a refund? My query was dealt with by the Manager and Director of Lillian Rose Flowers. Hope you can advise me.

Hello, I'm no expert in consumer law, sorry. You might try looking at the Citizens Advice website. Go to the Citizens Advice webpage. Click on 'Consumer' in the horizontal menu near the top of the page. Scroll down to near the bottom, then: Under 'Taking action about consumer problems' choose 'Common actions you can take'. From the next page under 'Getting a refund' choose 'If you want your money back'. Looks like you could argue that your goods were not of satisfactory quality which means you are entitled to a refund. But getting the money out of them is a different matter. Seeing as they have so many complaints on this site you could always threaten them with a letter to Trading Standards/the council?

I wish i had googled this florist before i spent my money on flowers from them. The flowers they supplied were nothing like the ones on their website and when i complained they said 'did you take photos'...it was my Nans funeral!!! Yes, i just popped the camera out in my moment of grief as i had nothing better to do !! I also advised them that i couldnt return to take photos as it was over 100 mile round trip and it was snowing. They were dismissive, unhelpful and basically rude. It doesnt surprise me that you have not had a refund or a reply.....i never did. I hope you get something back from them.

I could not find a way of thanking the two members who answered my query re Lillian Rose Flowers so I am using this link to thank them for their interest and advice. I took the advice of faffer1000 and within a couple of days I was contacted by Lillian Rose Flowers for my credit card details so that they could effect a refund which I will pass on to Macmillan Cancer Support. If more people follow faffer1000's advice, Lillian Rose Flowers may improve their online customer care service.

I have asked for a refund after 3 failed deliveries. When I said I would be reporting the company to trading standards for awful service, appalling customer services after I have had to send 21 emails, I was more or less threatened by company director that if I 'defamed' in any way they would take action! I will be talking to citizens advice and trading standards. Again, lesson learned that in future I will Google reviews for any online company.
