On packaging, the product holds up as expected. The 16-hour or 24-hour eyeliner and pencils stay on until you take it off with no smudge. The goods glide on the skin and feel good. Magnificent coverage

“L'Oreal Sublime Mousse”

★☆☆☆☆

written by moviegoer on 15/01/2014

I was really excited to try the product and I liked the way that it went on; however, after the first application, I had to touch up the grey spots the very next day. After the first washing, I noticed that a lot of my gray was exposed. I am really disappointed and am going back to my old reliable company.

“waste of time”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Gabby010 on 12/09/2013

this didn't colour my grey hair at all despite leaving it on longer than it said and adding more after 20 minutes. Its a great idea but this is a waste of time.

“Loreal sublime mousse 83 medium golden blonde”

★★★☆☆

written by on 17/08/2013

My hair was originally a light golden brown. I wanted a more golden blonde, a couple of shades lighter, so i went with this color. According to the shade guide on the box, i was suppose to see a color change. It ended up being the exact same color as before. No change, and a lot darker than the model on the box. It did not cover my grays. But it was soooo easy to apply. I will use mousse hair dye from now on, but will try a different brand. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to go darker, and who does not have many grays. I got it 50% off at cvs. I gave it 3 stars because of the ease of application.

“I love this easy home job!”

★★★★★

written by awshua on 21/04/2013

I love this hair colour. I've been dying my hair for over20 years mostly at home and this by far the best product I've ever used. I get great, long lasting colour with oodles of hilighty depth. Couldn't be happier!

“Grey hairs ARE a problem for this product”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 10/04/2013

Bought 41 - Ice Dark Brown. Followed instructions to a T and still got grey roots, but my scalp is still a lovely shade of brown! would never recommend this product and it is the most expensive home dye I have ever bought. A waste of my time and money. Now I'm left wondering how long I should wait to redo it with a different product. Horror! Did like the mousse effect and use, if it actually covered grey it would be a perfect product.

“flaming copper- turned out bright neon red.”

★★★☆☆

written by flippacorn on 13/03/2013

so I applied this product on a light blonde (natural) base and only left it on for twenty mins instead of the recommended thirty and still have bright red hair. When my hairs wet it becomes a really deep cherry red and when its dry I literally look exactly the same as a one week old coat of 'Live XXL PillarBox Red' except with added orangey tinted roots (I should know i used it for three years). Now I dont mind this because being in my early twenties and an art student I can get away with this, but should I have had a stern boss or wasnt allowed BRIGHT RED HAIR due to dress code I would be in serious trouble right now. If youre going to use this product on light blonde hair I recommend leaving it on for half of the recommended time. Hope this has helped.

“Waste of Money”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 13/11/2012

I bought this as it said '100% grey coverage'. I did EXACTLY as instructed and was careful about timing. My hair is overall a slight differently shade (lighter brunette) but the grey is still totally obvious and it smells horrible. I went against my instincts buying it as I have heard they still test on animals and use strong chemicals (eye watering stench when applying), but really wanted to get rid of the grey. Pointless waste of money and mis-advertised. Only thing that was ok was the application, which went on fine.

“l'oreal sublime mousse 70 pure dark blonde”

★★☆☆☆

written by on 30/10/2012

I had a medium blonde hair, previously died using l'oreal sublime mousse 80 pure medium blonde, but my roots were yellow, so thought I will go for a shade darker. The picture on the box is beautiful dark blonde with a moca shade. Followed instructions, easy to apply, but after 20 minutes rushed to wash it off as my hair was looking very dark. And I am very disappointed, from a blonde I turned to brunette... And it is not a nice color either, it is dark, mixture or brown and green....very very unhappy. Also the hair is lifeless, no shine that you normally get with other hair dies. I have applied an oil mask and tried another mask, no shine, looks like straws... The only hope is that I will be able to get the healthy condition back in time and the color will lighten in couple of weeks, if not I am in trouble... Would never go for this shade again and actually will try another line or another brand next time.

I now washed my hair 6 times. Got slightly lighter, the green seems it is gone, but still a strange color. The condition is still bad, just had an olive oil mask, will see if it helped once it dries. Olive oil should help to lighten slightly, if you add a whole lemon juice it will lighten. If you do nt want it so dark try. I am going to wait and see if it washes off even more. I didn't want to be very blonde, that's why I went for a darker shade, so will wait and see in couple of weeks.

“So easy to use”

★★★★☆

written by Muddergoose on 26/10/2012

This hair colour is so easy to use. My hair is a chin length bob and I didn't quite need a full bottle. It's super easy to mix and the foam comes out of the pump bottle with no trouble. Its not messy and leaves my hair soft and shiny. I've used this product four times and the only criticism I have is that the colour seems to have washed out after 5-6 weeks.

“Flamming Copper - No Mess”

★★★★★

written by Lizzycumbria on 10/05/2012

Was cynical at first as I thought it would be the same as other colourants and only bought this because it was on offer. Really surprised at how easy it was to use, no mess, no drips and less staining than usual. Rinsed out much better than most other colours and left my hair in lovely condition, all greys covered, and no orange scalp! Would definitely use this again.

“did not cover grey hairs !”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Lorraine63 on 21/03/2012

i am not one for buying permanent colour for my hair i usually buy semi permanent but thought i would give it a go. I am so disappointed in this product, my semi covered more greys than this did and it says 100% grey coverage on the box what a load of tosh !! can anyone recommend a dye that actually covers grey hair ?

“Disappointed buyer”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 19/02/2012

Bought 'Pure Dark Blonde ' (70) and my hair is almost black- most unbecoming. Will never buy it again!!! Very Disappointed. Till last year bought your 2 tone hair colour, but that has now been discontinued. Why?

“I;m worthing more than that!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by moondust on 19/01/2012

Please keep on mind that I have used many brands and types of hair dye, and in fact I favour L'Oreal. However, Sublime Mousse is awful! There was residue left after rinsing my hair off. There was more stinging on my scalp during the application than in other permanent L'Oreal dyes. Casting Gloss which is semi-permanent covers more efficiently my front 30% whites than Sublime Mousse, which is permanent and boldly states on the package "100% coverage". The bottle could be better designed (it was slippery). The colour turned out as expected, no bad surprises there. The application was easy, and it's a shame this isn't enough to make this a better product overall. Since this was a longer hair dye session (due to intensive rinsing), more painful and less successful than other dyes I definitely NOT recommend this product.

“Best Ever”

★★★★★

written by on 26/11/2011

In all the years I have colored my hair no one has ever said a thing..until sublime mousse by Loreal! The first time I used it people started to comment how good it looked. One day I said to a coworker that commented "what is the deal, I have never had comments before" She said "it looks so natural" A friend ask what number color I used, she dyed hers the same. I have to say it DOES look natural, no red overtones. We don't see our hair in the same light as others. I am truly amazed. I hope they don't discontinue or change this product. I LOVE IT!

“lo'real dark blonde .. end up as dark brown ”

★★★☆☆

written by on 19/11/2011

i have mousy brown hair you no in between blonde and light brown. i wanted a change to my haircolour and been told to get sublime mousse as it is easy to apply!! i bought dark blonde lo'real paris mousse, and it was easy to apply u just put the dye in a pump shake and it comes out like mousse It was very good to clean up after, as other dyes always drip and make a mess, with the sublime mousse hair dye you dont get any drips!! you dont even need to wear a towel around your neck!! it does suggest though to wait 30mins than wash. the conditioner they give you to use is great it makes you hair so glossy, an gives a great smell to your hair. I was abit disappointed in the hair results!! my hair turned out as a darker brown with few blonde highlights, it wasnt the colour off the packet and.. after couple of washes it's slowly going lighter brown.. im still disappointed in the colour, but sublime mousse is a great hair application to use.

“Fantastic, lovely colour, easy to apply, doesn't smelll!”

★★★★★

written by on 06/10/2011

I bought this to colour my daughter's hair from medium brown to black, using the Intense Black colour. She has very very thick and long hair, so the mousse seemed like a good option. The colour went on extremely easily and quickly, there was no smell like other dyes seem to have, no drips whatsoever, and the end result is perfect. In addition to this list of good points, it hasn't stained her hairline, which almost every permanent colour I have used in the past has done. All in all, fantastic. Hair is jet black and lovely and shiny :)
