“Return £3”

Roman is really hit and miss. I found that some clothes are really made of synthetic sweaty materials, not many organic materials. For this reason had to return clothes on many occasions, as found material very unpleasant to skin. Clothes also look better online than in real. I wouldn’t say their clothes aren’t cheap either and surely all mark up prices are well imbedded including the so called “free delivery”. Not happy that each time you return an item, they deduct £3, which is really a lot. Sometimes clothes simply may not fit well or customer may not like it, bearing in mind that we are buying online with no option to try it or feel the fabric! There should definitely be an option of receiving full refund not through gift vouchers or exchange, which many people simply don’t want..

“Buyer beware!!”

Avoid this company at all costs!! I made a return, and have never received a refund. My emails regarding the matter have all been ignored, I've made a dozen 'phone calls and never got through to anyone - disgusting, shabby company - I will never shop with them again, and highly advise anyone thinking of using them to read the reviews ..... and avoid wasting their money!!

“Poor customer service”

Terrible customer service. Have been waiting on a refund for 4 weeks and tracking confirms item has been received to warehouse. Multiple emails sent with no response other than an automated reply and can’t get through on the phone as constantly cut off. Would not buy from Roman again nor recommend to anyone if you expect to get a refund on returned items.

Do you have an address for sending returns? I can't find one and nothing was in my parcel. I also can't get through to customer service in any way. It's so frustrating!!

Terrible customer service!! Cant get a refund!! Say they are overwhelmed with emails. Wonder why??? They are so bad its unreal waiting for a refund 4 weeks later. Avoid this company.

“CLOTHES GOOD QUALITY! CUSTOMER SERVICE RUBBISH!”

This Company's customer service has gone downhill during the last 7-months. They charge £3.99 for next day delivery and the goods get delivered the same time as as their free delivery, which is 3-5 working days! This has happened to me 3 times. I shop online for my Mum, disabled sister and myself and have spent possibly over £2k since I started to use them in 2018. Clothes are of good quality. However since approximately May 2022, refunds are taking an age. I am constantly chasing them and have to be on their backs all the time. Its very tiresome and frustrating! Today, I was fobbed off regarding a refund for the best part of £130. Goods were received by them on the 29th Nov (as per Royal mail tracking) and they have advised me that they will not look into this until 19th Dec. Three weeks before investigating is just not acceptable! What is there to investigate if they received the goods in their warehouse on 29th Nov? It's such a shame as the clothes are good and reasonably priced, but I will have to take my business elsewhere.

“Poor return in faulty item's”

Have emailed several times without reply I removed tags to wash prior to packing to take dress away to discover a fault no longer have paperwork as that went back with the other dress that i ordered which was unsuitable no credit received on that yet either. Cannot get hold of anyone to confirm procedure for returning faulty items sadly live miles from nearest shop and it says that no refund possible on that route if purchased online

“delivery ”

just wanted to warn people about Roman I put in an order on the 29-10-22 for £90 they took this amount out of bank on that date just got to the point I must have lost that money they do not answer e-mails and the phone that's a joke I waited for 20min the other day and no reply

“Dreadful experience - still waiting for my refund ”

Sent items back to Roman Originals nearly a month ago and despite chasing a number of times I am still waiting for my refund. Thank goodness I paid via Paypal so at least I can open a dispute to try to get my money back. Definitely do not recommend ordering from them if you think you might have to return something as you will have a massive job on your hands trying to get your money back.

“NEVER BUT FROM THIS COMPANY ”

I returned an item on 18th June. They refuse to refund as they say it hasn’t been returned. Bought through Amazon but they believe Roman Originals despite my using their return service and providing the Evri return slip number. Will not be using this company again.

“Still no refund”

I sent two blouses back on 23rd May totalling £32 still not received a refund they received them on 25th May it is now 19th June still no refund. Have filled out 13 complaint forms supposed to get a reply apparently within 2 days not received one reply. Phoned 56 times to a message saying line not working due to phone provider fault. If my phone goes wrong it is rectified within days. Absolutely disgusting to treat good customers like this. You have literally taken our money. I got the Resolver involved and they never even responded to that so complete and utter waste of time. I have said I am going to plaster this all over social media not to use this Company. I am going to get a Solicitor on to it now. I have just read so many reviews that match my complaint and I am utterly disgusted. Anyway it is in the hands of my Solicitor now and I have a very good case with every bit of evidence. Roman Originals you are despicable..

Returned unwanted dresses back to you via post office on the 24/05/22 and here we are 13/06/22 and still no refund. I have sent you two emails both not replied to. I have called you but no one answers and then cuts off. Totally unacceptable. I will pursue my refund through my bank and never will I buy from from Roman again. Disgraceful Customer service.

“Another angry customer”

As others have said before me.2items returned on 23/5/22 and per Royal Mail Tracking recieved by them on 25/5/22. No reply to 2emails and unable to speak to anyone on phone. Totally unacceptable. They have no problem with bombarding me with emails trying to entice me to buy.NOT A CHANCE.

“Appealing. No Customer Service at all!”

I returned items on 28th April and have proof they were delivered back to Roman on the 30th April. To date I have still not had a refund. I have sent 2 emails, no response even though they promise to respond in two days. I have phoned only to be put onto a voicemail that then cuts you off. I have tried to contact through Twitter and Facebook, with no response, so now I have started proceedings through PayPal to see if they can sort it out. Absolutely diabolical service and there is no way I will ever order from them again.

“Returned items on 26 April”

I am supposed to be an excellent client for Roman , and they used to be flexible , but unfortunately recently things changed. The customer service became terrible. I shopped items on line and the sizes did not fit, so I returned them on 26th April, 2022. Still no refund despite two emails, one of them titled as unsatisfied customer. They don't even pick the phone and we are directed to voicemail. Poor customer service, Outdated returns policy.

“No Refund Received”

Returned a top as it was translucent. Roman Originals received the parcel on 1 May. Still no refund despite two emails. Poor customer service. Doubt I will use again. Outdated returns policy. They do not offer refunds,just exchanges or credit notes. I would avoid them online.

Was looking for a last minute outfit for a wedding this weekend. Went into the Doncaster store and she couldn't of been more helpful. They didn't have the dress I liked in my size so she rang another store and asked if they had it in but unfortunately they didn't so she rang and ordered the dress online for me and as it was my first purchase I got a % of my order bonus! Next day delivery which was really handy. Perfect fit and lovely quality clothes

“Terrible Customer Service”

Just thought I would warn other customers. I always thought this was a decent fair Company, what a shock i got. I put through an online order and included the discount code Roman themselves were promoting on their Website, this was an actual in-house code created by Roman so I thought everything would be fine! The invoice came through WITHOUT the discount. I emailed Roman, explained the situation and received the following reply: once the account has gone through it cannot be changed. No mention of a credit or refund or apology, nothing, except a curt instruction telling me I could return items for a fee. The discount code was for 20% which is quite significant, so when it was not deducted it was quite a lot of money. This has really left a bad taste, I will return everything, I do not want to purchase from a Company who refuse to honour their promotion. Also I have lost trust, I wanted to warn others, please be careful when putting through a Roman discount code, it might not be honoured so be prepared to spend the full amount or return your items at a fee to yourself. What a TERRIBLE COMPANY, never again will I purchase from Roman.

“Appauling RETURNS POLICY”

As other reviewers have also said, I too, will never be purchasing anything again from Roman Originals due to their returns policy. I bought an item online, which I wasn't happy with when it arrived so I took it back to the local store and was told they don't give refunds, only credit and that I would also be charged a fee (£3) if I was to return it via post! I just want to make other buyers aware of this as I have never come across this before when buying from a High Street chain.

“Customer service reaction to a review”

I bought a glitter jacket that shed the glitter more than I was happy with. I was asked to review the jacket. I wrote that the jacket had shed on to my dress furniture and skin so I wouldn't wear the jacket again. Customer service got in touch sent me a return label and have now sent me a gift voucher. I've been very impressed with the notice they have taken with my review. The only thing which I disagreed was they suggested the shedding would stop after a couple of washes but I wouldn't want to have to wash a brand new jacket. Very impressed well done

“REFUNDS when shopping on line.”

Having read other reviews on Roman returns i Have spoken to Customer Service who advise me the following, as I am about to return 2 items ordered on line. To clarify if you order on line and paid by bank card etc, you will receive a refund back onto your card if you use the returns label they provided with the original order, whereby the parcel goes back to Head Office, although they will deduct the £3 returns charge from your original payment. If you return items to your local store, whether you bought them there or ordered on line, they will not offer a refund but a gift card. Lesson learned, I will be £3 down money wise when eventually I get my refund, or if I had returned to my local store which is 2 bus rides away, thus saving the £3, I would have received a gift card for the full amount. I should image most of us dont want a gift card, some of us live on limited incomes, Roman stores have limited stock etc etc. Dont think I will be tempted to shop in store or on line in the future. Another lost customer Roman about time you changed this policy.

Having ordered on line the item was £10 cheaper when I looked on their sale part so I rang customer services only to be told they couldn't do anything about it unless I sent it back and reordered not very helpful at all won't be ordering on line again from them

I eventually got two emails advising of refunds, but the money has not been paid into my bank, all phone lines down and no email response. Is it time for legal advice?
