DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ESPARE IF IN IRELAND..Ordered part for a clothes dryer. Part arrived damaged as no protective wrapping whatsoever on item.just put loose into a box.VAT paid on purchase.When arrived in Ireland I had to pay an extra 40 euro VAT as company did not declare VAT on purchase. I received refund on part but company refuses to refund VAT I had to pay in Ireland on an item that was received unusable.I have contacted espare numerous time and been told it will be paid in 3 to 5 working days multiple times.

“Replacement bosch freezer shelf”

Ordered a shelf for my fridge. Arrived damaged. Espares takes an age to respond to emails. I returned the replacement (even though it be requested I didn't want one). Refund agreed. Still waiting 10 days later. I went through Bosch for the replacement drawer - £12 cheaper and quicker.. Avoid!!

E-spares is a disgusting company that doesn't seem to understand the meaning of The Consumer Rights Act 2015. I bought a simple little replacement warning light for a Brita Water filter and it gave out in about three months. I requested a replacement. Firstly they tried to put me off by requesting exact part numbers etc etc. When I was able to do that, they finally replied saying that "their guarantee only is for 3 months". This is totally irrelevant. In fact it would take 3 months to realise the light was faulty and in any case I am covered by the Act. Because it's only £7.70 it's of course not worth taking E-Spares to the County Court - and they know it.

I purchased a heating element for logik cooker August 2020 and unfortunately it failed Sunday 30 May 2021 so only had 9 months use, I emailed them that day to say that I thought that 9 months wasn't very long for the part to last,I received an email back on bank holiday Monday saying that if i gave them details of the make and model of the cooker they would replace the faulty part. It is now Wednesday 2nd June and I have received the new parand fitted it the same day and all working great. I must say I couldn't have wished for better customer care, all done and dusted in less than 4days with a bank holiday thrown in,thanks to all at spares I will definitely be using them again, very professional.

It was not their fault that manufacturer was out of stock and was not due to make soon but it was their fault that payment was taken before sending. Good job product was only a few Euros but it could have 100’s.

I ordered a new drawer for my freezer. Due to woefully inadequate package it arrived damaged, twice! Then they refused to pay the return postage when I couldn't print out their label, even though I sent them the receipt.

“Magimix citrus press”

Dreadful communication. No email, just a chat line, which is not available most of the time. Phoned in got a product code. Ordered. Took my money, knowing it was out of stock, then said there was a delay of a few weeks, end of July. Got in touch again end of July, told it would be mid September. Asked for a refund, still waiting. Will not shop here again. Diabolical service.

“NO REFUND SEVEN MONTHS AFTER ORDERING!!!”

I ordered a freezer drawer in December. They told me after I ordered that this was a "special order item" and I had to wait 28 days. In Jan, I asked for an update and they told me they still hadn't received it and would dispatch to me once they had it but couldn't give a date. I asked again in Feb but received the same response. I asked again in March and they then told me it would arrive by 31/03. In April, I still didn't have it and asked again for an update. They told me it would arrive by 19/05. 19/05 came along and I still didn't have the drawer. I asked for a refund and they cancelled my order 27/05. I was told my refund would take five working days by cheque (I paid via PayPal so they're forcing me to accept a refund method via different means then how I paid). 20/06 I still have no drawer and no refund! I asked and they've told me the cheque was issued 11/06 (two weeks after my cancellation) to wait another week. So to summarise, they've taken seven months to not deliever the item I ordered, then tried refunding me via different means then how I paid and haven't processed the refund in an acceptable timeframe. They advertised a product they couldn't source. AVOID USING THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT 23/06: I received a call this morning from their Quality and Compliance Manager who was able to process the refund by closing the PayPal dispute I had opened. Finally.

It's disappointing it's taken this long and I hope they review their processes to ensure this doesn't happen to another customer.

“Avoid this company”

ordered a part online it never went through rang company who advised payment never went through so ordered part over telephone. Checked account any payment did go through twice once from internet and once from telephone. Have been emailing them for nearly two weeks asking for my money back ive sent my bank statement to them and they keep saying they havent received it so keep refusing to refund it. Do not order anything from this company they are not a reputable company i will be taking this further

4 remote controls ordered from espares and their sister company 4ourhouse. They blame LG , very easy to catch them out. Was told remote not available any more , but LG confirmed it is and it still on both there website. You also need to chase up refunds, they do their best not to refund you payments. A complete disaster, never again.

“Customer service is non existent!”

Espares was generally my go to place for all things requiring domestic repair parts. Well not any more. I had placed an order back in June 2019 for 2 integrated washing machine hinges at a whopping £23.99 each!  They arrived without any screws! Contacted espares & had to pay a further £19.51 for the 4 screws which included £6.99 for next day delivery! The following day they when they did not arrive I had to contact them again only to be told they were out of stock. When asked why they had not bothered to let me know as they had all my details the guy in 'Customer services' (Ha that's a joke) stated "Yeah we don't do that!" I have chased & chased these items with emails & have been fobbed off time & time again. 3 days ago I phoned & asked to speak to a manager. Surprisingly there were none available. Coincidently I was told the items had just arrived in the warehouse. Regardless I insisted that a manager return my call. I am still waiting! The screws have now arrived exactly 4 months from the date of ordering. This is what this company considers to be good customer service. Will be using UK White Goods from now on. Do yourselves a favour & avoid this 3rd rate outfit. Look up glassdoor espare reviews to see what employers are saying about espares. Review also left on Trustpilot Facebook & Google Reviews.

“Really bad customer service”

Ordered a carbon filter for the cooker hood received a fan element instead. Tried their email system and got a standard reply that they would get back to me within 48 hours. They never did. Tried their telephone number and waited and waited at 5p a minute it's a long wait. Eventually, a voice said they had long wait times of over five minutes and to keep waiting. Needless to say I gave up after 10 minutes. Anyone want a fan element?

“very very poor customer service”

The above says it all. Paid for next day delivery (£6.99) item not received on time. Subsequent poor customer service. when we did receive the item there was no instructions on how to fit to the washing machine. we would not order from espares again. only order if you are not in a hurry for the item and don't pay extra for next day delivery

Ordered an item and waited 4 days after they took my money to get notification that they had despatched the part. No communication. There is no way to communcated with them directly, I have asked why it took so long to despatch the item....im still waiting for a response. I see lots on the review sites have had similar issues, wish I had read up before ordering from Espares, will give them a miss in future.. If companies like this want to compete with Amazons and the many other companies out there Espares needs to step up its game. Despatch same day Communicate Get online chat Stop treating customers like a mushroom.

“Dont bother”

Ordered a fan cover, there was only one postage option and that was standard £3.99, but below it said next day delivery and above it said available for immediate despatch, WOW! After 4 days I rang them to chase and was told they have not even posted it yet, they said they had issues with their system and that was the excuse, I told them we needed this but they refused to get it sent to me until next in line, over a week later I still don't have it. NEVER AGAIN

I am delighted to found a company who can supply out-of-date parts for t.v.'s. We have an old t.v. and over the years the remote handset has become difficult to use, in so much that some buttons no longer connect when pushed. Espares were able to supply a replacement handset which was compatible with our television - in fact, it has a few more updated features which are better than our old model! The company sent out an email advising dispatch and tracking information which was very useful. I cannot recommend this company highly enough - it is unusual these days to find people who care! Well done and thank you!
