“Hidden Charges and Poor Customer Service”

Such a big name company with little care for their customers, called the customer service to address an issue and I kept being told "I appreciate your problem sir", without offering a viable solution to the problem. Glad to be rid of Sky and I will never go near anything that has to do with Sky and will not recommend it to anyone. “Overpriced and rude customer service”

Was with Sky for years Realised a few months ago how terrible they are. I realised that I was paying for channels I hardly watch. Not only that but it annoys me that channels I payed for have far more adverts than itv and channel 4. Was paying about £60 a months for about 2 hours of television a week. “shocking service and no help at all!!!!”

There is nothing good about sky tv or there broadband service at all my tv doesn't tape any of the programmes that i set to record and then no other chanells will work so i have to turn of the box at the plug EVERYTIME. “We cancelled but they didnt!!”

We had sky TV+broadband and landline for a year. In may 2012 we wanted to cancel the TV because it was useless.But it was not possible to cancel!! After we called them, in a few days the screen got blank and we thought that it was cancelled. So, we turned that box off and started watching free tv. “Is this even legal...?”

Having been with Sky just a few months I was informed by the agent that my price would NOT increase within the first 12 months of service. Surprise, surprise, I have a price increase letter! I complained to Sky on principle as I have literally been lied to. I received an apology - but the price remains increased. I will be leaving them as soon as the 12 months is up. “Armature Non Professional insulation. I'm shocked at this”

Armature Non Professional insulation I'm almost speechless to how bad the set up and their efforts to simply fit a phone and a TV to my home. I run a small company from home they knew that from the out set. I am a trades man. I told them I need a smooth transfer of the phone line and broadband. I even took their advice and paid extra to move it over slowly. Just called to cancel the service, the lady was quite stand off ish on the phone. I am proffesional in my views to why I want to leave ( not shouting ( that's for yobs on the phone ) or anything just the clear facts ) she just hung up the phone.

I can't wait to leave I can't tell enough people about how bad Sky are!

I have been with sky for years, every time I have the misfortune of actually having to speak to customer services I have to speak to 3 or 4 advisors over several calls to get anywhere? Now if I get an agent in India I hang up, it's pointless. “It's a complete con”

I found what seemed to be a good deal from Sky, along with £100 cashback for signing up through Quidco. So I did. It also cost me £10 'up front'. Sky then emailed me saying they needed more information and to call their helpline, which I did. After a lot of fuss which I couldn't understand they decided the best thing to do was to cancel my online order then make a new one over the phone. I asked if i would still get my £100 cashback. Well where do I begin. I ordered Sky on a Sunday after moving house, as they offered all services under one company. I had an installation date of Tuesday from 1300 - 1800. At 1340 I receive an email stating there was a problem and to call in. I then found out that there was an issue with taking over the phone line. I totally agree here, got connected end of March 2012, estimated broadband speed between 5MB to 11MB, speeds barely touched 4MB, BT engineer sent out and master socked changed with built in filter, slight improvement in speed to 6 MB but connection kept dropping out on specific times of the day, and this hasn't been resolved to date. Every time I spoke to a customer service, it was a new person and was asked to connect to the test socket, which I obliged a few time and was kept on the phone for more than hour to carry out tests. Sometimes I was promised a call back and no one called. The last time yesterday 24/05/2012 I refused to connect to the test socket as this was take me back start point A again. The person I spoke I refused to do anything unless I was connected in the test socket, you can imagine my frustration, I insisted to speak to someone above (manger) and was blankly turned down, and it came to a point where the customer service person disconnected me. I would not recommend SKY to anyone as the service is unreliable, Broadband keeps dropping and then you get connected and much lower speed and you have to reset the supplied router all the time to get connected again. I am now punished to a 1.9MB connection until I agree to connect into the test socket. SKY should get their act together or they will have no new customers in the future.

“WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!”

I've been with Sky Talk for 2 months now and up to two days ago all was fine and I hadn't needed to call technical help once. Then yesterday when trying to make a call I realised that outgoing calls were being diverted. “With Sky things aren’t always what they seem”

With Sky things aren’t always what they seem; when moving house and cutting off services you do have to give 1 months notice even if you're moving in a fortnight they refuse to cut off the phone on the moving date so that the new tenants can make as many phone calls as they like at your expense. We then asked Sky to change the phone to incoming calls only until the contract ran out but they cannot do that either. “Pathetic customer service”

Certainly pathetic customer service by SKY. I ordered for line rental and broadband online. I printed a copy of the order which clearly indicated my correct address. The next day I received confirmation that an engineer will visit at an address that was not mine. When I called to clarify the address Sky was unable to comment why the address had changed. I placed an order over the phone which took 1 hour. They then sent the sky viewing card to the wrong address so when the (rude) engineer came around he could not install as I didn't have a card. So I updated the address with them and the same thing happened again and again. After three times I cancelled the order and sky has completely wasted my time. Was going to cancel Sky and go with Virgin Media as they had a much better offer. Was told when calling to cancel that we could have a 500mb SKY HD box and that it would include SKY + anytime.
