“Worst service ever!”

We have had serveral technical faults and Sky has continuoslly refused to resolve the problem and alway reluctant to sent an engineer. I was once even told to unscrew my phone box.! Tha is where the line was drawn for me I am not a technician!!!!! They can also be very rude!… Read Full Review

“Locked out of my sky e-mails”

I cancelled my subscription to Sky and still have about 18 days left before everything is moved over to another service provider. I was sent a survey which I completed yesterday, not a very complimentary one, I might add. An hour later I attempt to log into my e-mail account and cannot. I clicked on 'forgot password' and the only option I was given was to call Sky customer service. “Virgin media all the way ”

All I can say to all these reviews is never leave virgin media, and listen to their customer relations department, they make sense and always endeavour to help. Broadband is unreal mega fast compared to crappy phone line connection that sky have. Customer service experience is best out there and they don't charge tech call out fees. I was with sky for years and mostly put it down to a lazy attitude that I couldn't be bothered to switch, when I eventually did, it was the best move I ever made… Read Full Review

I have been with Sky for more than 5 years on TV, Phone and Broadband. Recentlywe are without Phone and Broadband for 5 days and they could not identify where the fault has occured...its terrible, they dont answer on phone properly, worst customer service, they are surviving just on Sky Sports otherwise no body looks after them...Callout charges are huge and they want their customers to agree even without looking at the problem. Been Sky Customer 12 years + paid out over £10,000 in subscriptions on £65 plus extra room = £75 month!! SKY + HD box Contacted customer service after power cut wiped out all recorded programs on SKY + HD BOX Demanded £65 to fix and then not guarantee repair or even programs would be recovered Customer Services took 2 weeks to reply to e-mail On line CHAT never available. “Sky set up”

How can they set up my sky package remotely... i have two phone lines reaching my property and the phone line and broad band was connected in the wrong one, meaning that i cant connect the TV in to the phone line, hence so far i cant use all the features i am paying at the moment... “I understand your problem but.......”

I have been with Sky for more years than I can remember, I have recently struck on temporary hard times and struggled to pay this months bill, I called and was told don't worry we are not aware of the problem yet, on a second call I was told to make a payment by a certain date and then a few days later I received an email saying that I was being cut off! Entering into a contract with Sky was made very easy. They made it clear that if I wanted their broadband, I had to take up the package that included services I didnt require such as TV. I agreed as I was assured of the broadband speeds I would receive as they tested the present infrastructure in my street and my house and fibre optic broadband was present so according to them, I was going to receive the top speeds of Sky broadband! I had the misfortune to deal with sky when I turned to them just to pair two boxes over Christmas. Someone in a Foriegn country cancelled and deleted all my saved programmes on planner near to Christmas Day. I wrote to them and the offered my £4.82! Which includes the cost of my bill (3 hours approximately) my time and loss of all my programmes. “Complete shambles and a company that DOES NOT CARE!”

I decided to go with Sky for my telephone, TV and broadband after being with Virgin for 10 years. Virgin's service was getting poor and apparently will get worse due to them not replacing their cables. Since 18th December, which is when they fitted the TV and 3 days later the broadband and telephone line it has been constant stress and hassle. 10th January UPDATE - They are still not taking on my complaint even though I have written them another letter. It is the worst company for customer service. I still am having intermittent service and was without phone service again for two days this week, and no broadband and on demand services for several hours. They pass you from pillar to post and do not solve your problems. I will be moving as soon as the year is up to a more reputable company that DOES care for their customers.

“No telephone for 10 days”

We are new customers taking the TV, broadband and telephone package. TV went well, broadband Ok. Telephone to be connected Christmas Eve, this did not happen, long telephone calls via mobile to customer services, could not believe our phone is being answered by someone overseas, but our line is dead. Next engineers available on 3 rd January, so we are 10 days without phone. Totally unacceptable but despite our pleas Sky could not send an engineer out any earlier. Yes it is the way they treat customers. I am also a new customer and have had nothing but trouble:

Since 18th December, which is when they fitted the TV and 3 days later the broadband and telephone line it has been constant stress and hassle. The first day i was left with no phone service for 24 hours, when I realised the engineer had damaged existing wiring in my house. Sky's customer services response was firstly to hang up on me because the girl could not be bothered. The second time I rang back the man said it was a 'BT' issue and I had to ring them! I explained that my account was with Sky and not BT. I had to go to the expense of buying new wiring and pulling out all my furniture to refit this new wiring and socket. In the meantime I was having broadband issues (the phone was down so the broadband would not work either) I was also having on demand problems and everything else. The phone started working and then something else was wrong. I thought maybe the new wiring was wrong as I am not a technician just a mere female - and 2 days before Christmas my house looked like it had been burgled! Furniture and wires all over the place and I had no idea what was wired up correctly or incorrectly any more. Numerous calls to SKy at my expense from my pay as you go mobile which cost me a fortune, and they just kept saying it was not 'their' problem - who's problem is it then?? Everything worked fine until they came into my property. My phone worked for a couple of days but there were still issues with on demand not working. The phone has been down completely now since Monday, no incoming our outgoing calls, and intermittent broadband. The TV had the blue screen of death 2 days ago also - are they bothered? NO they are not! An engineer came round the other day to 'check' things and then left. The day after there was a crackling on the phone which was very loud and now the phone is dead again! I reported it to be told it will take at least 48 hours to repair. I asked for compensation or I will cancel the direct debit - they responded by saying I would be in breach of contract! They are NOT interested on the phone, on their website 'chat' help, when I email then or by writing them am letter. I am now committed to warming people to NOT go with sky because you will regret it. Look at the other negative reviews on here.

  I  want to complain about your customer service for waisting our time for not connecting a phone line and broadband. I have waited since 19/11/12 for this and all I got is excuses and you wanting to cancel then reorder again but when I did that you then asked me to do reorder it again cause you didn't bother the 2nd time reordering.I contacted bt and the line needs to be put on the gold address system which you didn't bother to organize with them as it is on the register but not visible… Read Full Review

We took out sky when they were offering a deal of £100 marks and spencers vouchers. We were told it would take 45 days to come through but no voucher came. My husband phoned sky who stated the vouchers had been sent via email (complete lie). We then received a voicemail today stating that the vouchers had been sent today again via email and again no vouchers. “Aggressive tactics from SKY”

I've been with sky for just over a year and had no issues with the product itself. However, I decided to change to a different provider to save a significant amount of money. (I would lose SKY channels, but keep all the other channels I watch and recording facilities etc with TalkTalk). Upon calling to cancel my contract, the man tried to sway from my decision to leave for nearly 15 minutes before I hung up; without having ended my contract I may add. Can honestly say have never had a serious problem with Sky. We have been using them for about 12 years and have always got what we pay for. We did have a slight issue a couple of years ago when they suspended our broadband due to a virus and only informed us by email (not much use when we had nointernet connection) but they gave us 6 months half price as an apology for two days on no internet so happy with that!
