I called Sky today to see if could have the 6 months half price movie I had seen advertised online, I was told no i could only have 4 months half price, so i declined. I then asked if i could have wifi connecter for my sky box, I was told no once again, they couldn't even sell me one. So then i asked about upgrading my box to one with built in wifi they told me it would cost me £299 + £5.99 delivery. I was told my equipment was to new to get any of the offers. Once you have been sucked in with one of their sparkling offers you are treated like dirt.... From their marketing emails to their customer support, any kind of contact is pretty terrible if you are an existing customer. “They make it impossible to cancel”

After being with Sky for over 20 years we decided to cancel as we were feeling the pinch financially. I called the cancellation line and was on the phone for about 15 minutes which I believe is a premium rate line. “no phone are internet”

Not going to bore you with every detail - suffice to say I claimed £100 fee plus £20 for phone calls to their "customer service dept" and, eventually, they paid up. Here's a thought. When I was a kid, five shillings (25p) bought me 20 fags or a gallon of petrol for my motorbike or best cinema seat or a ticket to local football club. Top players earned twice the average wage. “OVERPRICED”

SKY packages are far too expensive. I cut it all right down and I am £40 a month better off. Their engineer wanted to put a thick black wire right round the outside of my house (house has whitewalls) and I said no way. He refused to go into the loft so I fed the wire up there for him. “the cs i talked to was probably stoned”

when i called about getting a new sky box, the person i talked to i swear was stoned, he kept saying that i have a beautiful phone number, then when i was trying to sort out getting a new sky box he kept changing the subject. Sky made it so difficult to cancel this service that after a call a letter three more calls they finally cancelled my subscription and threatend court action for nonpayment of direct debit. They still haven't refunded Any money and are taking weeks to reply to any correspondence. I am appalled at how bad their customer service is! My experience of cancelling was similar. I have never experienced such appalling treatment and this was despite 10 years uneventful subscription. As far as I can see sky believe it is acceptable to fraudulently obtain extra monies from customers by delaying tactics. These delays are in breach of their very own terms and conditions. They also breach their own complaint procedure. Their delays mean they force customers into either paying more than they should or be threatened of court action by sky.

falsely advertised 'introduce a friend' and have no intention to stick to it. Having been with virgin for 2 years I thought I would check out any offers. Paying virgin £93 for xl tv, 60mbb and L phone I thought time for a change, with movies it would cost me over a 100. I contacted sky who offered me everything all in, except phone and broadband, all for 32 quid. It means that combining the two together I now pay 75 a saving of between 240 and 300 odd a year. “Dishonest company”

Sky will sell you a package stating that unlike their competitors they won't put your package price up in the middle of your contract. This appears to be true, but what they'll do instead is, remove services in order to 'encourage' you to take a more expensive package. They lure you in and then take away those same services, which, as far as I'm concerned is tantamount to increasing the price.
