As well as poor service from head office, telephone banking and branch staff, the complaints department are not helpful. They support their own staff over customers.
A recent complaint pointed out this site and is's poor reviews, and suddenly there is a guest rating them highly. Coincidence or what? ...

Firstly Halifax supposedly sent a new bank card which did not arrive, then they took my existing one by forfeiture when I used it in a machine. I have never had one good experience with Halifax bank. The customer service is awful. Some staff are the most rude and unhelpful and I find this in every branch i have ever been in. Their charges ridiculous amounts.. i was over drawn by 7p yes that's right SEVEN PENCE and i got charged £48! ...
