As well as poor service from head office, telephone banking and branch staff, the complaints department are not helpful. They support their own staff over customers.
A recent complaint pointed out this site and is's poor reviews, and suddenly there is a guest rating them highly. Coincidence or what? ...

I moved my ISA initially to Halifax, but ...

I've been with the Halifax for 27 years. In the last month, I ve been the victim of online fraud twice. I believe this is either a very weak online security system or an internal problems. Trying to resolve this with the retail fraud team has been a nightmare due to a combination of indifference and ...

Firstly Halifax supposedly sent a new bank card which did not arrive, then they took my existing one by forfeiture when I used it in a machine. They then froze my telephone banking when I could not remember the last transaction (to the last penny) and the exact date that I did it on the card. The ...

I have been a valued customer of Halifax for many years. As soon as something goes wrong though i.e you become a victim of fraud, you find out that their service is absolutely appalling. First of all I have always been in credit yet they let me go over £800 overdrawn, put a hold on my account ...

I think Halifax Bank Current Account are very unprofessional, unhelpful, iv been with this bank for over 12 years and they know the date my wages go in, yet they persistently keep charging me 30 to 39 pounds if my direct debits happen to go out before my wages, as it does sometimes, so no I don't ra ...

Been a Halifax customer for nearly 10 years with no problems, until now!
I require an original bank statement dated within the last 3 months for proof of income and outgoings for a loan (with another organisation). The last statement sent by Halifax is nearly 6 months old as my account was set up wi ...

I paid in £20 into each account to open it up. I waited a month and I still did not have a cheque book or debit card, so I called them and the ...
