Overall I feel that Barclays have not been very good so far. It took well over a month to get a decision and I got tired of calling them and chasing the application. They didn't want to see any business plan either! When I finally did complain, they were quite swift in dealing with it in all fairness but only after 5 phone calls in succession to speak to someone who actually cared.

I have started a new company in April Last year and barclays have said in Quotes " we can help you with all the help you need" this is after they sold the I Sure / Business Manager/ Sales fiance/ card payment machine/. Be ware of this company as i am in the process of F''''' them off, they are the one of so many banks who have not lent money from the Governmant and they are cherry picking customers as they can. Banked with them for 3 years now, they love you when you buy their products such as isure but when it comes time to lend they dont answer your calls. Been trying to apply for a loan now for about 4 months and my business manager is not answering. I bank a stupid amount of money per week and manage to meet my annual banking amounts in a month. Im switching to a European bank now as all U.K banks have hit the pan and will take all the customers with them! (read more)

barclays is rubbish, i trusted them and banked with them for years i received money for my son who is heart pattient and as a inheritance from my grand maa and barclays took it all. they dont ask me anything or tell me anything they keep telling me its administration issue , what isuue i want answers they dont say anything if they ask me q?s and doing this for security i can understand i have all proof but am no thief the amount is big not 400 and its already 3 weeks. if you cant trust a... Poor customer service,when I closed my account I have received my last statement with a unusual charges and still chasing them to find out what was the break down of such charge, over a month after closing account.

Having opened an account with them i am now closing it due to appalling service and being lied to by the business manager i dealt with.
If i could give a zero i would give a zero.
Will also be closing my personal accounts with them as well.
If i ran my business like that or had staff working for me like that i would be embaressed to be in business. (read more)

Worst experience with a business account ever. Shame you dont have a ZERO RATING!! When you open the account, the Business Manager is all lovey dovey... "well do this, we promise this etc.." However, nothing materialised. She didn't return calls, the call centre aren't interested when things go wrong, simply Barclays are a waste of time in my opinion. They dont care about the small guys. Unless you are making millions (and feeding them interest), they're not interested in you. (read more)

Have been with Barclays for 30 years. Cant get to speak to anyone unless you take the option -apply for a loan - and 'hey presto' someone speaks to you. Applied for a small business loan and for 7k was quoted £300 set up fee and 15% interest over 12 months ! Now just have overdraft insurance added to my current account without me knowing or being offed this and payment for this have now started coming out of my account. Same happen to me.
A total of £90k been wiped out from my current and saving account by Barclay without my authorisation, I was trying to send £48k to China to purchase a business. I am losing my credibility as an invester and may lose the deal thank to Barclays.
I wonder where do we stand as a legal point of view? (read more)
