Surefix Motoring Centre, Halifax - In principle I like the idea of what the Service Stop Ltd provide and it takes all the hassle out of having my car serviced or MOT'd. Worst company I have ever come acros Send my car back without fixing light although charge me about 85 pound for fixing light on the invoice. Also send car back without MOT certificate nor service stamp on the car book. When i try to contact them to fix that seems the guy who answer the phone who is the manager ( over night had no authority to do any thing apart from trying to find excuse. “Sales pressure mot”

First time I have used this outfit .. booking on line for MOT was easy car was collected as agreed . Is the paying when it went wrong. I asked for a breakdown of what I was paying for (this is after being on hold for 25mins trying to get through) the prices quoted were horrendous example being I could have got a new tyre from a local garage for £33.00 inc fitting and disposal and the operator on the phone said I was lying it must be a part worn and they wanted £65 ! “non return of vehicle”

my Jeep Cherokee was due to be picked up for service and MOT 1st March 2017 it was eventually to be picked up 16th March it was picked from my home 18th March and failed MOT 20th March Servicing Stop phoned said it needed £1300 to repair to pass MOT. I told them to return it as I was not paying that amount for repairs. booked my car in for a full service yesterday and they came and collected fine at 8:30. Then they called me several times threw out the day telling me I have to have work done to brakes and I wouldn't be able to drive my car as would cause more damage and quoted me over £500 for doing them which I refused. The car was supposed to be returned to me between 4-6 which it was not and I was not contacted. what is going wrong with servicingstop lately ???? .i booked my mot via servicing stop & i had a fantastic experience but all i am seeing lately is bad reviews from people getting ripped off. are these people exaggerating ? servicingstop needs to sort these problems out. you need to protect customers who use the services you offer. at the end of the day, you choose the garages to whome will do the required work so you are equally responsible for problems that arise. its shocking to read that theres been cases where vehicles are not returned if its failed an mot & in turn the customers concerned are told to arrange their own recovery . whats that all about ?. you also need to withold payments to garages until customers are happy & if you have rogue garages on your books to whome have been ripping customers off then you need to get rid.

Used them as it was convenient for my elderly mother (87 years) She was informed that the car had failed its MOT, this was late in the afternoon, it was even later that servicingstop contacted her. I had asked her to contact me with the details of the work and price to sort the MOT. When she informed the male person from the company he frightened my Mum by stating that it was illegal and dangerous to use the car without an MOT. AVOID this company! They tried to sell me over £200 worth of unnecessary work. They are very clever at implying that it needs to be done stating that it showed up on a report but all the extra work is totally UNNECESSARY! When they dropped off my car they failed to tell me they scratched the car up the side of my driveway. The price looks attractive but beware of hidden extras. I paid for a full service and MOT. I was told my 3yr old car had failed it's MOT, however when I phoned the garage direct I was told the car was only halfway through the service. The MOT was done before they serviced the car, so what it failed on should have been picked up in the service had they bothered to do the job in the correct order. Poor customer service. “A promising start but very expensive second time around”

I cannot fault the convenience of the service and the Garages turned up promptly with cars returned on time. The first time I used the service was for a general service and no complaints. Possibly a bit more expensive than normal but generally OK. I had the car MOT'd in October last year and there seemed to be a push to keep adding on extra work that wasn't vital. I searched for a servicing quote for my 2 cars found your website what caught my eye was that your company was on DD. The booking process was fine car puck up and drop were excellent. I was very disappointed with the call from your operator who informed me that there was work that was required on both my cars some of which I carried out as it was made clear that it was needed. Details differ from me but tactics sound awfully familiar. My advice to potential new customers would be to use a proper dealer direct because ultimately you'll probably pay similar in total charges and actually know whats going on with your car.

Even Head of Customer services Rajiv Kapoor fails to respond in a timely manner to a very fair and detailed account of the experience, but perhaps he's too busy dealing with a backlog of complaints?

“Total rip off and left me being towed 3weeks later!”

Failed to listen to my request to call me later in the day with diagnostics as I was working nights. Failed to inform me my fan belt was about worn off which has resulted in me breaking down and having to be towed to get replaced. “Never Even Turned Up!!”

Car was booked in for a service a week in advance. Got an email confirming the booking and letting us know which garage would be doing it. Although we live on the outskirts of a city the garage was actually a 50 mile round trip away. As they are driving your car and using your fuel this is something to bear in mind if you are thinking of using Servicing Stop. “Excellent no hassle service”

Very easy service from start to finish.Prices were very reasonable & comparable with garages that I would have had to driven to myself. “Rip Off Merchants Pressure selling”

Quoted £106 to service my wife's car they rang her and led her to believe that essential servicing work was needed and she was worried so agreed to £200 worth of extra servicing work including £60 to replace antifreeze which had only recently been done. “Won't use again”

Started promisingly, finishes up pretty costly. Difficulty paying, had to make numerous phone calls, on hold for 5 minutes the first time, answered quickly twice, then on hold for over 10 minutes on the last call. Told I needed to call the bank, number I was given was very dubious. My own bank called me from their fraud department. I actually think there was just an error in the number I was given, but it doesn't sit well all the same. People friendly enough but I won't go through this hassle… Read Full Review

The overall service I recieved was absoulutely brilliant and the price you could not go wrong. My wife had a full service and Mot which came to under £180.00. You could not get that in any garage. My only problem to date was when I tried to pay the server was down but did not tell me this and I had to go to the bank to sort, lucky I was of that day othwise I could not pay as I don't have Internet banking.
