I ordered an orange Elite pro after my old one was stolen, the bike took a week to arrive, despite initially being told it would be 48 hours. When it arrived it had the wrong tyres on it, wrong size and brand, so that they were too wide to fit through the frame. Secondly the brakes were not working, I phoned them and was told to take them to a local shop for fixing, then email them the invoice for a refund. Refund never came, had to chase it up twice. Don't believe their website , stock doesn't exist and "No way of keeping it up to date" You spend hours looking , getting reviews etc, only to find the bike isn't in stock and they can't get one either . If I could avoid using them I would ... but insurance company pushed me to. Also watch out for offers that are on their normal website but when you go through the "insurance claims" web page the bikes are full price!!! Avoid Avoid Avoid . Orderd a moon x power 300 with wheelies direct because of the great price, it arrived on time ,no problem . but after only 8 uses it would not work,spoke to wheelies who told me i had to return it to be sent off to the maker to be repaired.no problem after 3 weeks of hearing nothing i have emailed and rang them at leat 6 times and recieved no reply as to what has happend to the item. they offer a good service right up until you recieve the goods ,then i am affraid you are one your own should… Read Full Review

I had to order via this company as my employer is operating the Cycle To Work scheme through Wheelies. The details of my order were taken professionally and I liked the follow up calls advising me of the status - unfortunately the date they estimated for despatch was then changed no less than 4 times - in the end I got fed up and was quite clear that any further delay would result in me cancelling my order and taking my business elsewhere. I had my mountain bike stolen from my garage a week before i was due to go on my cycling trip to the Alps. Wheelies Direct replaced my bike through my insurance company within 48hrs of me putting in a claim. The staff were really sympathetic and helpful and got my bike and accessories to me through their courier on time. Found Wheelies.co.uk online, did some research, and found them to be the cheapest/same as any other dealer for the type of bikes I wanted, plus they was local so if any problems did arise i could get it solved quickly. Totally completely and utterly BAD. took 5 weeks and lots and lots of calls to get the damn bike. Only when I told them I wanted a refund and to stick their order did they finally deliver it and not refund the money as requested. I am so angry with them. But I did chase for compensation and got it.... so if you are being messed around just be aware you can get compensated!!!!!! I also have been forced to use wheelies by my insurers. I could go in to a really long ramble about how shocking there customer service is but i think plenty of people have already done this for me so I will try giveing you a condensed version, If you want to waist allot of money calling there custom build guys leaving messages and never hearing back from them then you have found the company for you. I am literally unable to work out how Wheelies can be so inept. My bike was stolen and so my insurance company directed me to Wheelies to get a new bike. I'm a bit of a bike nerd and so I spoke to their custom build team and wrote a list of exactly what components I wanted, which I sent to them. They then sent a quote back listing those same components and giving me a price. I waited six weeks for the bike - that's quite a long time. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS (IF YOU CAN)!
I have been lied to about my bike being dispatched, TWICE. They never have any stock but if you are going via insurance then you have no choice so spend hours on the phone with them trying to work out what they have got. Then it never turns up. I had the misfortune to come into contact with this company via my house insurance as my previous bike was stolen. I chose the bike I wanted
(Giant TCX 2 2011 £795) from their web site and was given a delivery date. This date was broken 3 times. Eventually when the bike turned up, it came without pedals, and when I complained about this fact, I was told it did not come with pedals, though nothing was mentioned or hinted at on the web site.

Excellent Service, I was plesantly supprised after ordering my Specialized Rockhopper from Wheelies, I read the reviews on review centre stating how bad the company was and became a bit anxious, however I ordered the bike on Wednesday, I had a phone call asking if I could take delivery on Friday, a couple of hours Later I had a text saying it had been despatched and it arrived on the Friday fully built with my lights and jacket. My employer entered the Cycle To Work Scheme.
They are incapable of actually building the bikes correctly, which compromises safety especially for those buying that are not familiar with bikes.
And I am now awaiting my 3rd bike to arrive without being broken or scratched.

I don't think I have one good thing to say about them.
I have exactly the same experience. They are completely useless. I have been waiting for almost 6 months now and they still haven't managed to sort out my insurance claim. I have been lied to. Calls and emails are hardly ever returned. It took a mate in the bike industry to give them a call for them actually to respond to me.

Wheelies Direct are the worst company that I have ever had to deal with. Their customer service staff are unknowledgable and incompetant, they lack even the most basic of bike knowledge and constantly get things wrong.
In the few months that I had to deal with them I have left messages that went unreturned, I have been given wrong information on various occasions and I have been lied to.

My company joined cycle to work scheme with them. I thought - great. I ordered carefuly selected GT GTR type CX bike offered for 799...They phoned me up and said they haven't got it in stock, offered me other one or waiting 2 months.
