After reading many bad review concerning the company, i was dead against using them, but told by my insurance company i had no choice but to use them to replace 3 bike stolen by some nasty men from my shed.To cut a long story short i have nothing but praise for the people i dealt with on a number of occassions and the overall service i recieved with information and dates, times etc concerning my claim. “Simply the worst! Avoid at all costs...”

Was forced to use this 'bike shop' by my insurer to replace my beloved Galaxy. Having taken 2 months to source a suitable bike in the correct size (their website does not reflect the real stock that they carry) they left off the front carrier, broke the rear one and then failed to respond to email or phone messages (you can only ever get through to a bored receptionist whose accent is only improved by her gum habit...). 2 months after delivery - no satisfaction. “Try & Avoid !”

I unfortunately had to deal with them as the result of an insurance claim for a stolen bike. They had a limited range of bikes at full retail price and didn't have several models and sizes shown as being available on their website. If there is a problem with the bike it has to be boxed up and sent back to them - not sure how knowledgeable they are - they suggested the pedal arm be glued on when a problem occured after 6 months and just 15 rides when the bike was still under warranty. I ordered some brake blocks which were cheaper than anywhere else but no more than half an hour after I got an email informing me that the item wasn't in stock. They told me when it was due for delivery so I emailed them the day after and they very quickly replied to say it had arrived and that it had been despatched. “AVOID at all cost please, Awful customer service!”

I have never experienced customer service (or lack of) such as this in my life. I bought a bike online and was extremely pleased when it arrived. I fitted the pedals and took it out for a test drive. I barely got off the footpath and the right pedal fell out of the socket so I thought I hadn't tightened it enough so I put in back in and continuted on my jounery. “Worst customer service ever!”

From start to finish dealing with this company for a replacement bike and accessories under our insurance claim has had to be one of the most frustrating, annoying and unsatisfactory experiences ive ever had the misfortune of enduring. They do not act upon phone calls quickly, you are often held waiting or on hold for lengthy periods at a time. “Cyclists beware!”

I had 2 replacement bikes from Wheelies that were organised by my insurance company. The build quality of the bikes was horrific. The fork on the mountain bike was back to front and the seat fell apart during the first ride. I was also delivered a road bike which (apart from tightening the handlebars) was fine until the derailer came loose and caught in the chain. “Weak - bikes poorly prepared, website confusing ”

Bought two bikes from wheelies a felt z95 and a ridgeback comet. They were quick and efficient at sending them out. When they arrived the problems began. “Awful customer service and communication”

Had to go through Direct Line Insurance when my bike was stolen and they used this company. Worse customer experience ever. To name a few things that were awful; 1. they said they would deliver on the Monday between 8-6 so someone stayed home for the WHOLE day. No one came and when we called them to ask what was going on they said they had tried to call. Had to use this lot for insurance claim. Repeated calls, on hold for over 45 mins. Goalposts coninually moving. Despite lengthy conversations about stem and handlebar sizes fitted at no cost originally by LBS (as you would expect) Wheelies refused, then team leader claimed conversation had never taken place. Placed the order over a couple of weeks ago and they will not ship until they have every product. I understand but it's not my problem, happy to wait for the extra's but I really needed the bike sooner. I was passed over to Wheelies by my insurance broker, Protect Your Bubble (who, incidentally, provided a great customer service and were nothing but attentive in their communications. Having looked at a load of options I had almost settled on a Merida when I came across this new bike from New Zealand ( yes, I know they make them in Taiwan ). Wheelies Direct Bike Replacement and Wheelies online bike store are 2 different sides of the company!!!!! People do not realise this and slate wheelies when bikereplacement are trying very hard to meet the insurance company demands and the customer demands! I understand that some of this on the bikereplacement side can be tightened up to give off a better customer based service, but lots of this is what we are instructed by the ''Customers Insurance Policy''

Wheelies mail order side of things have an absolute solid platform and are extremely customer focused! Great deals, helpful and knowledgeable staff with the odd Super Deal thrown in now and again...a company that you can pick up the phone to and speak about what you are looking at on the website....where else can you do that with 1st useful information!

Choose your bike company carefully....Wheelies are the way forward and growing rapidly.
