“DAS PASSED WITH 0 MINORS IN MODULE 1 & 2 - GO TO ILLFORD”

Written on: 20/07/2012 by Phil_Schonborn (1 review written)

I originally booked myself onto a 3 day DAS course with 1stopinstruction.com. In the confirmation email it stated the date and time, as well as that I had to be there on time to take part on the course. Unfortunately, I got the dates mixed up and missed my first day, during which the instructor Kevin (Illford branch) kept calling me. Once he got hold of me (several hours after the official start time), he politely informed me that the trainer had left and I would not be able to join the… Read Full Review

“1 Stop Instruction”

Written on: 09/07/2012

I completed my CBT, DAS and ERS with 1 Stop Instruction. All three courses were excellent. They were run with efficiency and professionalism and the instructors were fantastically knowledgeable and experienced. On all three courses, I really felt that I was progressing far beyond the prescribed syllabus. Rather than learning what needed to be done just to pass a test at the end, I felt I was actually becoming a better road user and better rider - as well as knowing what needed to be done to… Read Full Review

Didnt have much big bike riding experience. Have done DAS with 1 Stop. Learned A LOT in these 3 days! Passed module 1 ont eh FIRST time and Module 2 on the SECOND time. Enjoying new licence and the my Yamaha VXS 950 Midnight Star! Recommended to 2 other friends who has done CBT with them and passed on FIRST TIME WITHOUT ANY riding experience. This should say a lot about their teaching quality! Regards, Alex, Canary Wharf, London… Read Full Review

“The Best CBT ive done !”

Written on: 29/06/2012 by Julie789 (1 review written)

It can be intimidating for a woman to come for a CBT course knowing that the instructor will probably be male and so will the other bikers. I have done my CBT before so this was the second time and it was much more enjoyable. The instructor was friendly and made me feel capable and confident. He was a patient with a great teaching technique and manner which put me at ease. I have already recommended to one of my friends who wants to get a scooter… Read Full Review

“1 day Cbt training course”

Written on: 15/06/2012

Have not rode a bike in years but the instructors were first class and very helpful Training is spot on and ienjoyed it very much the day is full on ( bring a sarnie and a drink) I think the best part is when they take you out on the roads you are in radio contact all the time which is so handy as you will forget to turn your indacators off plus they only take 2 at a time onto the roads The topic of the high way code was great as you think you know it all( I bet you don't) One more thing… Read Full Review

i recently attended the DAS course with 1stopinstruction. weather was horrendous didnt stop raining but hey s*"t happens. the training was fantastic, cav taught all the skills necessary to a very high standard, from the tricks to make mod 1 easier, he also covered any weak areas in my road riding, and the tricky areas, the examiners will try to catch you out on the mod 2 test. all the training was delivered in a professional manner at the highest possible standard. the facilities were… Read Full Review

“Makes me sick!”

Written on: 30/03/2012 by bigballbag (1 review written)

AVOID Firstly, I wanted to do a CBT on a manual bike, and I have zero experience on bikes. Apparently, this is fine according to their website. My instructor (Peter) said from the very start, I should do use an automatic, not because of anything professionally, but just so he can finish quicker. Of course I said no, but the 3 other people there at the time who all had experience on bikes agreed, and already I was alienated. He made them ride first, and then tried to explain how to ride on a… Read Full Review

“These guys are a bit arrogant and I would say rude. ”

Written on: 11/12/2010

These guys are a bit arrogant and I would say rude.
I booked a course and then (because really they're sort of in the middle of nowhere was late. If you're late they turn you away. Fine. But then they charge you the entire cost OVER AGAIN, when you want to re-book. Not even a 10% discount! Basically, I think they count on people not showing up so they can skin people. If you negotiate they treat you quite badly. Shame on them. If this is any indication of how they approach clients in general… Read Full Review

I totally agree with with you. The instructor was very aggrogant. He got encouraged me (greedy for money?) to do my CBT, theory test and A2 test all in 3 weeks, even though I had never been on a motorbike (I ended up failing my A2 test, what a surprise). For our CBT he took us around the motor cyle shops in the near by areas, conversed with the people in the shop for a lengthy period of time, pretty much showing us he was a man who has contacts in the motorcyling world. He made many put downs comments all of the other men and I who where learning. One of which were how we 'are not natural riders', 'you'll be lucky to pass the way you ride' and he 'passed when he was 18' bla, bla, bla, blar, all this after he got our money! He made negative comments about 'Academy Motorcycle Training' their rivals for no reason (I actually went to them after waisting my money at '1 Stop' and they were brilliant at teaching, ironic). All in all poor advice was given, I felt uncomfortable and angry, ripped off. That's just my honest experience.

I agree with the comment about the instructor being 'arrogant'. The bald ethnic instructor with a crash injury scar to his eye. He made many put down comments to the other ethnic trainee and myself, how 'you are not a natural rider', 'you'll be lucky to pass', 'you can't ride'. For our CBT he took us to the nearby motorcycle shops and spent time talking to the staff there, explaining to us how he 'knows a lot of people around here and in the motorcycling community', 'how he passed at 18 years old', bla, bla, blah. I was duped into doing my CBT and A2 test with '1 stop' within 3 weeks after speaking to this instructor and stupidly paid upfront. Bad advice. Too greedy for money. I didn't pass anything, the CBT 'failed due to poor clutch control' and the A2 test down to inexperience (no surprise). After failing, I asked about 'Academy motorcycing training' and he was very negative about them. He wanted me to retake my CBT with '1 Stop', but I instead went to 'Academy motorcycle training' after two days of failing and passed because I was trained on how to correct my errors by their instructor. I felt ripped off, uncomfortable/angry after my experience with '1 Stop'. My advice to the instructor is 'Stop' and think about how you are going to help and train people '1'st.

Wow, I didn't know bike schools could hire such rude people. If you don't mind me asking, which center did you use i.e. what local area.

Written on: 05/07/2010 by Am1sha (1 review written)

Got my CBT with 1 Stop instruction in Hainault but wont be recommending them to anyone else. The instructor we had was terrible - more interested in telling us how great he was on the bike and how we would never be as good as him than actually imparting knowledge. The website says not to worry if you've never ridden a bike before but the guy we had (Peter) was very impatient with us, agressive, didn't instill us with confidence, kept threatening to stop the course if we didn't start to pick up… Read Full Review

Written on: 22/01/2010

Great training and probably the best CBt i have attended. The instructors put safety above everything. i don't understand how people complain for failing when they have no knowledge of the highway code, especially wehen they are told they must know this before attending. A fellow pupil with me did not know what a no entry sign looked like, and then was complaining because the instructor would not let him ride on the road. I think the instructor was absolutley right not to let him on the… Read Full Review

At just 16 years old the week before I took my CTB course hoping to gain the knowledge and skills to ride a scooter on the road. Fortunatly for me I failed at 1 stop. Fortunatly you ask yourself. Well all I can say is that never ridden a motorbike or scooter before only a BMX bike I was let free on the open road after 2 hours of assessments. The instructor felt this was adeqate time and training to let me on the road luckily I wasnt killed. So fortunatly I didnt pass and I am going to a more… Read Full Review

Written on: 10/09/2009 by Gladiator7 (1 review written)

Wow......what a great training school 1 Stop Instruction is! Great communication and very professional from start to finish. Only £99.00 for the CBT training with all new equipment and probably the largest training centre in London with great Instructors that made the day fun and enjoyable. Excellent value and the very cheapest CBT course I could find in London. I went on and did my DAS training with 1 Stop and passed first time. Their training site made Module 1 a breeze and they then… Read Full Review
