I keep receiving emails from them asking me to log in. I'm a blind disabled guy and never used a job hunting site before. I've never heard of this company until today. I called them to stop, but yet another email from them within a few hours.

“Don't expect to get paid on time”

Absolutely terrible agency to work for/through, everything is out of their control including processing your pay on time. Only been with them for 2 months to recently find out that the same job role has been allocated 3 different scales of pay ranging from £12.50 to £20. That's right, same job, same level of skill, same agency and we are all on different rates. In addition 4 weeks out of 8 my pay has been late, they currently owe me 2 weeks pay. They blame the company, the company show proof they've authorised my hours which puts it back in the agency hands. One of the lads is hasn't been paid for 3 weeks, he's in a lucky position that this hasn't too badly affected him, but I am not in that position nor are some of the other lads who are having to borrow money to get to work, pay for rent and food. You'd be really stuck if someone wasn't around to help you out.

Not helpful or caring or considerate to a candidates needs. Absolutely no care if you say no to a role that they find that is out of what you specified. Total ignorance. Not trusted or likeable to work with. Makes you feel it's your fault if you say a job is not for you. It shows they don't take the time to listen to your needs. They don't do what they state they do.

“Extremely undermining and bad communicators”

Really unhappy with this agency. I attended an interview arranged by them and then had to consistently chase to find out the outcome!! I was unsuccessful so they were looking at further roles to which I have heard nothing about. The recruiter was undermining and patronising and their communication skills are absolutely shocking! Avoid like the absolute plague!

“Pushy Unprofessional Bad Communicators ”

As a candidate I applied for a role and then pushed to attend an interview for another role BEFORE THIS AGENCY HAD EVEN MET ME! Went to an interview and I asked why the post was vacant - it was a maternity cover contract which the agency failed to tell me. I requested we met, which I did, then a few weeks later another consultant asked me to come in a register - AGAIN! I attended interviews and they didn't have the decency to let me know how I got on and totally ignored my emails. Only tried to push me into services I had no experience. Would not recommend!

“Square Peg, Round Hole....”

Extremely pushey, won't take no for an answer even though I had doubts about my suitability for the role was pushed into attending interview. Was offered the job, the first candidate turned the job down and I had my doubts but was once again assured by their consultant that all would be just fine. The company were a sham, I was totally unhappy but still the consultant tried to talk me into staying! Never had an experience like this and I have ended up leaving a job I was allegedly perfect for according to the Page consultant who would do and say anything just to get 'the deal' Worse agengy out there! AVOID

“Overzealous on the sales front...”

I was approached by Page when they found my CV online & after telling them my salary requirements & what I was looking for they said they had a job that would be perfect for me & that it was immediate start. I fell at their demands and rushed to register with their offices, and they told me I would be starting the training the next day (despite missing a few days of the training). I arrived for the training which involved a lot of sitting around, waiting for meeting rooms/computers/staff members to arrive and become available (and I mean A LOT) of waiting around...we're talking hours. The team was fun, but after 2 weeks they said we were ready to 'get started' to find that we didn't have a desk, computer or any equipment each, so we had to literally sit around doing nothing. The job was made out to be a facilitators job, resolving queries and managing complaints, but turned out to be little more than a call centre job. Other members of staff at the centre were also recruited by Page and told of several issues with payment and timesheets but I didn't seem to have any issues. Many had problems with tax codes etc but again no issues on my part.

“Obstructive”

Narrow minded attitude, reading from a script and not thinking outside of that. Certainly does not think of their client's needs in an applicant. Rely on personal social media write ups to make a decision on if you are 'allowed' to go forward. Their clients should be aware that this agency is narrowing the options available just because your online profile doesn't match the job description word for word. 'Another planet' comes to mind. Yes their rules are rules and there for a purpose, that I respected, but don't necessarily agree. I'll be avoiding any job sites they control from now on.

“Unprofessional ”

Very unhappy with the service provided by the recruitment agent that contacted me from Michael page for a job. That I applied in London. I had the chase after the agent to get any feedback regarding interview or updates and the agent never replied to my email promptly. She was not honest regarding the position I applied to and failed provide me with the necessary information about the job and ignored my questions. I have successfully found a job with another agency now and I would not waste time with this agency.

“Never been back in touch”

All the contact that I have had with Michael Page has been driven by me, a range of emails and phonecalls speaking to the agents who are very positive on the phone but nothing ever materialises. I'm shocked that anyone gets any employment through them.

“Do not bother!!”

Appalled by the service MP provide. Had a call from a consultant after registering with them online and was asked to come to the office for a face to face discussion about my next career move, walk through my cv etc. Following the discussion i was sent an example profile and was required to write one for myself as they send these out to clients rather than your cv. Found this a little odd that I had to do this but nevertheless I spent the time to write a compelling profile and emailed it back to her. Got no response so followed it up with another 2 emails...no response. Complete waste of my time and really unprofessional. No way to treat candidates and should they bother to eventually contact me I will be telling them where to go!

“Want paying?? Don't use Michael Page/Page Personnel”

Absolutely shocking 'service' from Page Personnel, placed in a role which is entirely unsuitable (was told totally different), then once in the role there is no help or support to find something suitable, getting a call back from the recruiter is pretty much impossible and to top things off I've not been paid, despite submitting a timesheet and chasing. Amateurs!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!!!!!!!

“Worst agency to deal with in the whole of the UK”

I had applied for several Project management positions on the indeed website, but I never received a reply nor notification from Page Personnel. When I contacted their offices in St Albans was told someone would get back to me but that was a lie. I went to their website and applied for a position, in the message box, I had put "can someone, anybody contact me". Eventually, someone got back to me and suggested I forward my CV, but surprise, surprise I have not heard back from them and it’s been months.. This is the worst agency by far; don’t trust them both clients and applicants. I secured a project management position elsewhere, and need two junior PM's but I will not be going to Page to source my candidates.

Contacted by a female from the Bristol branch who said she had a potential position and would I be interested. After discussions on the role, my experience and expectation on salary I was promised a job spec. Guess what! That was Tuesday and I'm still waiting! Still waiting despite chasing for the spec on Wednesday! The best part, I've been signed up to receive updates from said organisation and yet no job spec nor courtesy call nor apology for not progressing further! Sad thing is, the position isn't even on their site! I hate speculative people who, if I wasn't a strong character would demoralize me. Wouldn't touch said company.

“Impersonal and lack basic communication!”

Having been placed within an organisation that has seen a huge turnover of staff in the very position I was hired for without a clear heads up I was very displeased with the service from my recruiter at the London MP who despite been given clear insight into the situation at my placement even during my placement did not do anything to support me as a candidate. Following this experience that I can only describe as an 'ordeal' my recruiter has failed to keep me interested and open to other opportunities once the placement ended. I've received calls from various others from the same branch offering unsuitable positions. This is appauling and I find their lack of loyalty to candidates such as myself who have had an impeccable track record from placements including from this awful placement to not than keep me engaged is just terrible service. Needless to say that after weeks and months of no contact and suddenly making contact that comes across so impersonal and one sided I am very reluctant to even pick up the phone! I regret trying out MP following better experience at HAYS who by comparison LISTEN and have a very GENUINE and personal quality to their approach. Disappointed.

“Will not respond”

I have given up trying to apply for jobs with this agency. Although I am amply qualified, I have found that not once have I heard back. While this crushes my confidence, I am surprised at just how self destructive this is on the part of the agency. I have often been in the position of needing to recruit staff. Knowing that good candidates may not even be getting a look in will definitely make me think twice about using this agency.

“Atrocious and would stay away from”

I am a non UK citizen and required a visa. I applied through Michael Page and the bad service I received was beyond belief : A) emailed my recruiter 3 times over a few weeks and never got a reply from her. Had to call the office up myself constantly chasing for interview dates with no real results or the phone being picked up by the receptionist but getting no call back B) rudeness from a second recruiter claiming because it's not her client she is unaware and that they are not being complacent. Only later did she attempt to help C) finally with an interview date set the company cancelled it the day before for me to find out that they did not realize I needed a visa and that this was not communicated to them by my recruiter that had assured me multiple times the situation was handled There is no sense of customer service or remorse at all over the trouble they put people through and like other reviews, it reflects that they don't care, do not treat you as a person and for the sake of your career much better off looking at other recruitment agents that are much better and more qualified.

“Atrocious customer/client service”

After applying for a couple of opportunities from this company a week ago they today decided to phone me to inform me that they had moved onto interview stages now and I was too late! Hmm, if you had looked at my application when I sent it perhaps I would have been offered an interview! Lady was rude and not confidence inspiring! As someone who loves Monday's I appreciate that not everyone does, however I do not expect people to place their down mood over onto me and then question why I'm looking at jobs when I have one, if you don't want to find employers/your customers their candidates here's a novel idea, get a job you like! Then just to top it off, to be told when something pops up we shall ring you back, how about you look at the other 5 applications I had in with your company all of which I was qualified for!! But no that's the easy option, tell you what why would I bother going for a job through yourselves when your not interested in the candidates! On par with rude PPI and accident claims staff!!

here here! wont phone back, hang up during a conversation and when you ring back have 'just stood out of the office 5 minutes ago....how when you were speaking to them 1 min ago! I would not use them and I advise clients not to...a waste if space.
