“Item missing from order they don't care”

Order 2 items online, which take ages to come from Germany. Only one item in the box. Reported to immediately to DV247 Customer Service, who just passed it on to the Central Team. Despite numerous phone calls and emails nothing has happened. No item, no refund they just ignore customers and hope they go away. Having to claim money back through PayPal. Do not buy from DV247.

Took money from my bank account, The company is like talking to a brick wall, DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY I tried to make a purchase and they declined my card, there ends the transaction, later the same day i used paypal for a similar purchase and they just took both payments from paypal, no warning, just took the money, wont refund the money and wont collect the items that should not have been sent, HORRID COMPANY

Happy to take your cash but god help you if there are any issues/problems with your purchase. Unprofessional, very unhelpful and incompetent. Their customer service/after sales is diabolical, the staff are clueless! It states on the website UK based but any warranty repairs are sent to Germany. I would never buy of this company again and I would advise anyone else to do the same. Not an option for zero stars but that’s what they deserve. Appalling

Now I have seen a lot of bad reviews on this site, some of them so bad I very nearly didn't use DV247 at all. Still, if you're like me a left-handed beginner guitarist, who doesn't have the confidence yet to get a right-handed guitar and restring it, then you probably rely on getting left-handed guitars, you also probably know that trying to find a reasonably priced but decent guitar is damn hard work because left-handed guitars, in general, are quite hard to come by, I have been looking for a semi-acoustic guitar for Christmas for the last couple of weeks, I live pretty much the middle of nowhere and my closest music shop is 45 minutes away but also I have been to that particular shop a few times got my first guitar from them, the ONLY left-handed acoustic guitar in the shop out of the 10-15 acoustic guitars they had, out of all of their guitars only two of them were left-handed, that's how rare it is for left-handed guitarists to enter their shop, so with very little options, I had to look online. All of the other sites charged an astronomical amount for shipping or the odds of me getting the guitar by Christmas were pretty slim. DV247, was the only site that offered reasonably priced shipping and a decent timeframe of delivery, I can't fault DV247, I called them with a query and not only was the phone answered quickly, but the man on the phone was also very friendly and answered my query swiftly. My guitar arrived earlier than the tracking said it was going to be here, so I can't complain about that, I checked the guitar and it looks to be in pristine condition, honestly a very beautiful instrument. And again amazing service from DV247 from start to finish, I honestly cannot fault them.

“AVOID at all costs”

Purchased microphones from them in January. By May/June had major issues where one would stay on and both kept popping down my speakers, attempted to have these issues sorted under through them as they weren't even 6 months old, they told me to send them back for them to send to the manufacturer and didn't give a timescale of how long this would take (as a working DJ this is not possible unless you give me a timescale), so this couldn't be done. They offered no interim loan equipment, so I suggested either a refund or replacement (as was within my rights) they ignored all my emails after this point! Further to this after several more back and forth emails with people who have no customer service skills, they HAVE STILL DONE NOTHING TO RECTIFY THIS almost 2 months on.... AVOID

“Couldn’t Give a Damn Staff - Terrible Attitude - Avoid”

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing from DV247. I chose them for a new Jazz guitar as I believed them to be UK based and expected to avoid the whole customs/late delivery problems which seem to plague most of their dreadful reviews, I was wrong, DV247 seem to be based and operating from Germany, I have no problem in itself with this but of course post Brexit had this been transparent from their marketing it would have flagged probable issues in supply. Needless to say many weeks on from full payment, still no guitar which is being held just a few miles from my home yet I am not allowed to collect! The ‘couldn’t give a damn’ staff are the main cause of this review, whilst I’m a bit cross about being duped into buying from outside the UK and being hit with the expected problems, it’s their blatant don’t give a damn response and casual blaming of COVID and Brexit which really grate. To date I have no guitar, no explanation, no guarantee I’ll see it, no response from staff and am about to pursue the chargeback / legal route. Avoid these people at all costs, sadly one star is a star to many

Avoid. they take money, refuse refunds and cannot provide the refund arn when requested multiple times. they refuse to answer customer service emails and make you wait 6 months before anything might happen.

“TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ”

my subwoofer that i bought from them was making a crackling sound, called their customer service they advised to send it back i advised them i didnt have the original box they said package as best i could, did this wrapped the whole thing in fragile tape just to make sure it was treated kindly by their courier, had to chase them constantly to find out did they have it and how long was it going to take to be told that the sub arrived damaged and was my fault , the packaging had been ripped and the photos they sent looked like the sub had been kicked around by a rhino the sub on every corner was caved in, i advised them this was labled as fragile and was wrapped in loads of packaging and was told to send as best i could , their returns department ignored email after email eventually they said they would only fix the original issue and the sub would return back in the damaged state it was in i obviously tried to argue this only to have my emails ignored i am still chasing this and getting nowhere fast. When i first called them they were brilliant i was singing their praises at how easy this all was and was about to spend a lot of money with them upgrading sound cards and speakers in my studio even though they were slightly more expensive than other places i though well their customer service was brilliant so it would be worth it but how wrong i was. DO NOT EXPECT ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE ONCE THEY HAVE TAKEN YOUR MONEY. I have repeatedly asked for a manager to get no response and i believe their returns department actually dropped this item so they didnt have to repair this due to the way this has been treated , my friend sent me a pair of adam a7 speakers sent via dpd in just a box with no packaging via switzerland with one bit of tape on to hol the box in place and you know what they arrived perfectly no dings and no issues , it didnt even have fragile on the box so how can mine be treated so bad !

Thiefs. Do not purchase from them. I ordered sound proofing from them so that I could use it to sound proof the home of a young autistic person that I care for. Did not arrive and told me that it was delivered, but it was not. They contacted the relevant department so, as I was desperate, I ordered more and asked them for a refund on the other stuff after they investigated. Never heard a thing. Am now making a small claim as they have just stopped responding to me. I told them why I needed it so desperately but they just did it care. Seriously poor company but mark my worlds they will not be getting away with this. Stay well clear.

“Complete Shambles”

I ordered an electronic piano and stand in March for my son to play during lockdown. I paid more for the stand than it cost elsewhere because they were showing a quicker delivery time but I have never received the stand. I registered a complaint with the Store Manager in the UK months ago who promised I would have the stand by the end of June. The stand didn't arrive and so on August 4th I replied to the Store Manager's email asking for an update to which I got no response. I have just phoned him and learnt that the order has been cancelled because they have taken so long to deliver it my Paypal payment has lapsed. However, rather than contacting me on the email address on which I shared emails with the Store Manager they decided to tell me about the cancellation using a different email address. To cap it all, the Store Manager has just tried to resolve this whole debacle by selling me the same stand by saying the stand has now come down in price by £4. No explanation of why the stand never arrived in the first place.

“Charge for returning faulty items”

I ordered a Traktor s2 Mk3 DJ Controller, I had the item delivered to where i work as i was most likely going to be there when it was delivered. The item was faulty so i contacted them and told as i was a business customer i would have to pay to return the item. Im not a business customer, this is for my personal own use. Handle this company with care. Never again would i purchase here.

I ordered a Yamaha digital piano which was out of stock elsewhere. It was delivered within 6 days (excellent considering it came from Germany to London, in the middle of COVID lockdown). I was put off when I read many negative reviews about the company, and considered cancelling, however I had no problems. Excellent, helpful service and a very competitive price.

“DV24/7 has gone down hill”

I have bought music gear many times in the past and always had great service from some great guy's at DV Romford. Since they partnered with the German company things have gone down hill. I recently ordered a Bugera PS1 attenuator. That was in February. They said it would not be available until the end of March. I could live with that. I go on their web site again only to find that they now say not available until June. That's too far ahead for me. I have tried twice to cancel the order via the only contact point. Email sales department in Germany. I asked for confirmation of the cancellation, so that I could buy else ware. They just ingnore my request. Sadly it seems I will have to wait until June to find out if it's cancelled. Come back Digital Village, where have you gone.

“Tried to charge me shipping on free delivery order. ”

I placed an order for items totalling well over £200 which qualified for free delivery. I received an email from them requesting that I pay £15.00 for additional shipping. I emailed them asking why there was additional costs and received no reply for 5 days at which point they emailed back with the statement “pay the extra or cancel your order”. A ridiculous situation from a company that obviously does not care about customer service.

Ordered a few cables. When ordering, the site showed me delivery date of 3-4 days. It has now been 10 days and still nothing. No communication, no emails, just nothing. I've tried ringing and got through to some phone line that isn't in the UK (weird dial tone) and I feel like they've just taken my money, and that I'll never get my item. It's a shame, a few years ago they used to be great and that's probably when the majority of the 5 star reviews on here were made. Don't let the measly 3 stars fool you, this company deserves one star, preferably none if that were possible.

“Worst shop on the planet”

Dont use DV247 aka musicstore.dePurchased a Steinberger guitar and a Gibson Les Paul last year both delivered with faults. Steinberger tremolo unit squeaked and pickup on les paul didn't work. Store refused to help stating items were tested before being shipped. Gibson kindly sent me replacement pickups after seeing service report from a guitar tech stating pickups were faulty. Guitar tech also repaired Steinberger at a cost to me of £25.Also got a tube amp doctor silencer which got a fault within months. Returned it to store and then told I had to pay for repair. After threatening legal action they sent a replacement unit 10 weeks later, which after a few hours use started to smell of burning and the controls stopped working. Emailed company and they just ignore all communication.

“Worst service ever”

I wanted to buy a Gibson SG 2015 guitar, I normally buy from Thomann but saw 0% interest at dv247 so thought 'go for it'. I knew it wasn't going well when the guitar turned up in a non original box that was half open. On getting the guitar out it was obviously used (turned out to be a demo guitar). No gforce charger, no set up photo and worse of all, no check list which is signed by Gibson when set up! I was told if I wanted to return it I would have to pay. After sending a lengthy reply I was told they would try and supply another one but that was used too. They then wanted to send out a different one which was not the same quality. In the end I just sent it back as DV247 felt it was ok to supply a used guitar when I paid for a new one! So I went back to Thomann and as usual no problems whatsoever! Needless to say I won't ever use DV247 again! DV247, if you want to use guitars as demo's then you should sell them as 'B' stock! Shame for you as I have probably bought about Ten grands worth of guitars over the years but you can obviously afford to lose good business!
