This is the worst airline I have EVER experienced. Flew long haul to Havana, Cuba. The planes are old; the staff are very rude; absolutely no sense of customer service; the food is awful; and the flight entertainment is a joke (i.e. in a ten hour flight they showed one film which was The Smurfs). The toilets were dirty and the plane smelt terrible. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Surprised Air Europa is in business. Pay the extra and fly Virgin. I tried to and they were full. Most awful experience ever… Read Full Review

I booked a flight with Air Europa but before I booked I double checked all of their services but when I arrived at the airport Air Europa was not operating the flight causing me great financial grief and a huge inconvenience… Read Full Review

Ohh my god..... I am so disappointed with the way customers are being treated it seems if you speak English they simply can't be bothered with you.....
I had 2 flights: first one was short haul where the food was awful and soggy also did not understand a word so had to ask a passenger that was sitting next to me what they where saying ( he was also Spanish) but he seemed to be more helpful than the staff....
Then the connecting flight
Madrid - argentina 12 :30 min flight. there was no sign of… Read Full Review

We travelled on Air Europa on Dec 23rd 2010. In summary: the check in too 3 hours, the flight was 3 hours late, no help in getting the transfer at Madrid. Aircraft was old and dirty, food was appalling. Cabin crew were rude and unhelpful. They lost our luggage (along with 25 other people) and to this day (a month later) we don't know were it is, we haven't heard from them, they don't return emails / phone calls and the call centre in Mallorca is the worst I have ever dealt with. Avoid this… Read Full Review

I was flying from Ibiza to Madrid after the new year party. The flight attendants are really rude and they don't pay attention if you are colored skin. And after reaching Madrid we figured out that our bags did not make it as we had a stop over in Barcelona. And till now my bags never made it. Initially i was informed that my bag made it to Madrid and made a request to send it to USA but never happened. Finally some one informed that my bag was missing and by mistake they told me that it was… Read Full Review

This was the worst airline that I have ever flown with. Our flight from London to Madrid was late so we had to run for the connecting flight. The flight Madrid to Havana was 10 hours long. The plane seemed very outdated, very small seats, no leg room, no individual tv screens, staff in old fashioned scruffy uniforms. Friend asked for help to stow her hand luggage and was told no you will have to put it under the seat in front (in an already cramped seating space on a 10 hour flight). Luggage… Read Full Review

I'm still waiting for my luggage. The call centre is constantly engaged - is there anybody really there? I sent in an amendment to the description of case, but according to the website, they have not taken this into account.
During the flight, it was impossible to understand the English announcements.
However, we did arrive safely and for that I thank God… Read Full Review

Don't EVER EVER fly this carrier. Even if you are tight on budget! This company puts old flying B767-300 junk that is more than 20 years old, no inflight video entertainment system, over-worn and dirty seats, ridiculous size of leg room that even some tiny rats would find uncomfortable. And this for a long haul transatlantic flight from new york to madrid! what a shame!… Read Full Review

Both ways the flights were late. Announcements were made in rapidly spoken and poor English with a heavy Spanish accent, and with my poor hearing I managed to catch "Thank you" at the end. The in flight "snack" for this 2.5 hour flight consisted of a very small bread roll with damp plasticy ham. One chocolate the size of a stamp and a half cup of luke warm coffee. Never again!… Read Full Review

I took Air Europa to Spain on 30/07/10 to Madrid to connect to a flight to Santiago de Compostela and thankfully my connection was not for 5 hours. I just barely made the connection because we arrived late to Madrid. On the way back to New York 3 of 4 suitcases had the locks ripped off. I filed a claim at the airport. The reason I filed was because the suitcase with the biggest lock had given whoever was breaking into my suitcases a hard time and they just ripped the zipper off. Another… Read Full Review

I have never had a worse experience with an airline. Due to lack of personnel on the airport, the line to check in took at least 3 hrs in London Gatwick. Due to the above, we lost our connecting flight in Madrid, although we were told by the personnel from the aircraft that it would wait for all of us. They weren't able to find a flight to Cancun from Madrid the same day, so we were sent with Mexicana the next day, but not without loosing one of my bags first. The bag arrived almost 5 days… Read Full Review

Reasonable state of aircraft for price, leg room about normal, cabin crew pleasant. Check in OK. Don't travel if you have hold luggage. Both in and outbound arrived two days later. Inbound had stuff missing from suitcase. Outbound delivered at 01.30 in the morning, little regard for customer satisfaction. If travelling light worth considering if you get a good deal. At normal prices for normal travel I would not use again… Read Full Review

My tickect was JFK-Rome via MAdrid, but we left JFK with 4 hours delay and in Madrid I missed the connecting flight to Rome. The rebooked me for the evening next day. They give me hotel accomodation in Madrid but my arrived in Rome 36 hours later than expected! I had a flight on 12/23/09, my flight was delayed for 1 hour, my luggage was lost and never found. I e-mailed air europa's customer service and they provided me with international phone# to call which of course I should be paying for. I do not understand why I should pay for international call when this was no fault of mine. I am very dissatisfied with the way they process lost claims and am not sure if they ever pay lost luggage claims. They simply send you to someone else and do not want to… Read Full Review

7 hour delay on Air Europa JFK/Madrid 9:30pm outbound flight. We found out after 2 hour wait on check in line, greeted by "Where do you live?" with respect to whether they would put us up at airport hotel or send us home. Told plane would leave at 4am (flights can't take off from JFK until 5am). Finally airborne at 5:30am. Mediocre food didn't come until after staff prowled the aisles with stupid duty free cart (people buying $6 candybars so they'd have something to eat). Cramped seating… Read Full Review

I travelled with Air Europa with my son. On the way back the airline changed our tickets without our knowledge and you can guess the surprise as we arrived at the airport and we were told that we were schedule to leave from somewhere else and to make thing worst it was already late to get to the designated airport.
The staff at the airport were very helpful and manage to get us (my son and I) on the same flight schedule the next day.
We had no problems at the departure, but upon arrival at… Read Full Review

LGW-Madrid, Madrid-LasPalmas and then back. Good quality flight as for cheap airlines Air Europa. I couldn't use my mobile in a flight-safe mode (it's not emitting any signal and lots of other people used their laptops!!!!!). On a way back when check-in we had a little problem as lady in a counter have no idea that within EEA (European Economic Area) you can travel on ID cards if you are citizen of one of twenty something European countries. I was asked for passport and as I never used passport… Read Full Review

Flew Air France manchester to Paris and then Air Europa to Malaga. Flight arrived 15 minutes early in Malaga and baggage was succesfully routed.
Lots of empty space on the flight. it was only about 1/3rd full. everyone could spread out and take three seats each. none of the other passengers seemed to be surprised about this.
i would happily fly with these guys again… Read Full Review
