    I bought the Sony DVP-S360 1.5 years ago because it was a Sony product and I knew Sony for quality. It has now failed with 'no disc' error for any DVD inserted. I took it to Best Buy and they said DVD players only last about 1 1/2 years and to buy a new one. At $269.00? drop dead! I'm going back to ...

    The dreaded "No Disk" error has struck again. If you own a Sony DVP-S360--you might as well start using it as a door stop. Go buy yourself a different DVD player today. Don't wait, if it works today, it won't tomorrow. Sony is trash, one might think a Sony would last longer than 2 years.

    I am totally disappointed that my SONY DVD player has failed after 2.5 yrs of ownership and low to moderate use. If I factor all that it would have lasted me only 3/6 months.

    We have been disappointed with this machine. Continuous problems with C:13 errors and the inability to read video CDs that play correctly in other cheaper models caused us to purchase a DVD from another maker.     Give the Diagnostics above a try it may work.

    Check out the pioneer 656 units for fast clocks and great pickups.

    What a piece of junk - do not buy any Sony products as they are of inferior quality and overpriced. Save money and frustration and go for another brand. I had the same "no disc" error with my player - and to think we paid $450 for it when it first came out!!

    I can't believe all of the bad reviews! I have had nothing but reliable service from my DVP-360!
    Maybe I'm retarded or something. I have had this unit for over a year now and have had absolutly no problems. I also have a JVC DVD player in another room and the Sony plays every bit as well as the JVC ...
