“ABSOLUTE RUBBISH (to put politely!)”

Written on: 10/10/2013

Didnt even want to give one star! avoid at all costs! so much for 'cheap' -easy jet flights were £24.99 but unfortunately all booked, yet ryan air were £151 EACH! Customer service is complete rubbish, no help at all. seriously need to sort themselves out. Will never use them again. Website is rubbish and it took me over an hour just to print boarding passes (and an extra 30 euros just to reserve seats!!!), again with no help when called customer service. wont let it spoil holiday, and… Read Full Review

“Cattle Market”

Written on: 04/10/2013

I had to update my baggage allowance from 15kg to 20kg. They charged me an extra £30.00. Seats are a free for all, many passengers very unhappy to be seated away from partners. About a dozen seats with reserved on but not claimed. 2 small beers £10 small peanuts £2.00 miniature vodka £5.00. Staff sulky and unhelpful could of been doing community service the way they behaved. Why work in the industry if you don't like the public? Yes they are cheaper now I know why. Customer service nil. … Read Full Review

“Just awful miserable female staff, uncomfortable seating”

Written on: 23/09/2013 by Wisbeeo (2 reviews written)

Ryanair is one of the worst airlines and I speak from experience since I have travelled around the world. The female staff never smile, do not ask for any help since they are not interested and they are always ready to start an argument. I would like to add that the male staff on Ryanair are helpful, polite and they smile. We have now taken the decision to fly to another airport which is further away but no Ryanair awful customer service to put up with!… Read Full Review

“Is she the most miserable hostess ever?”

Written on: 22/09/2013 by Mark A Lomas (5 reviews written)

Just got back from Gran Canaria on Flight FR3163 and can officially confirm that I have had the pleasure of meeting the most misearble Air Hostess on this planet. Yes it was very early but that is their doing not mine. She never smiled once, was determined to show everyone on board that she had no time whatsoever for anyone on the flight and if she could start an arguement with a passenger she would. Unlucky for her she picked on me. When getting ready to land she told me to switch off my phone… Read Full Review

“HOW TO GET THEM TO UNDERSTAND ”

Written on: 09/09/2013

I booked 2 tickets with Ryanair to fly to Rome on 10th - 14th of September. Due to a bereavement in the family we could not fly on these dates. I contacted customer service who A - I could hardly understand. B whe was rude and would not let me speak to ask if we could transfer the flights to another time and she then cut me off. I have been trying to get through to them ever since to see what could be done and again get someone who cannot speak or understand your accent or you get cut off… Read Full Review

“Cancelling Baggage Allowance”

Written on: 02/09/2013 by balloonboy (1 review written)

After booking 2 flights with them last night, to both Dublin and then back from Knock to Liverpool and needing baggage allowance for both flights, I booked to have Hold Allowance of 15kg's added. I no longer require this part of my booking but still wish to fly with them so wanted to cancel the Baggage Allowance off. I spoke to somebody on their 10p a minute "Customer Service" line as I could not raise the query through the website as it did not have the option to do so!! I was then… Read Full Review

“Cattle Cart Sevice”

Written on: 27/08/2013 by ronniwin (2 reviews written)

Well first and last time for Ryanair. Did anyone else know that your seats are not saved unless you pay extra for them? We wondered why everyone was rushing to the gate and couldn't believe it when we got on the plane (2 adults, 2 children) and were told to sit anywhere. Lucky to get 3 seats together and me close by. On the return flight, had to stand for nearly 2 hours in a queue to ensure we sat together. One mother and child had to ask for help as there were no seats together for them to… Read Full Review

“New way to get your money”

Written on: 26/08/2013 by CMDLeeds (2 reviews written)

Having booked flights with Ryanair we decided to get our car hire through them as well. On arrival at the Hertz desk at the resort airport we were told there was a new rule for Ryanair customers only (we were shown a sign on the booking desk). Ryanair customers only had to bring the car back empty of fuel and would be charged for a full tank regardless of the amount of fuel left in the car. As we were not doing much driving we ended up returning a car with substantial amount of fuel and paying… Read Full Review

“O'Leary for Prime Minister”

Written on: 21/08/2013 by Phlyn (1 review written)

Ryanair is fantastic but only caters for people who are responsible and obey the rules. Efficient, fair and always keen to point out pitfalls if you don't take heed. If UK was run as efficiently as Ryanair, we would be a great nation once again… Read Full Review

“Do not use Ryanair evev”

Written on: 20/08/2013

Never use Rhynair. If you do than you would definitely be charged extra money for your suitcase size (£60) and also for not printing your boarding pass (£70). They guidelines are so tricky that you could hardly understand what you want. A very aggressive lady in check in told that we have to pay £70 for not printing a boarding pass. She was so rude and tried to make us feel humiliated. After we paid she said my Shengen visa is not valid! I have travel with that visa to Europe many times but… Read Full Review

“Acri-money at the Gate”

Written on: 20/08/2013

If Ryan Air can wrench more money from you, over and above what you paid them for their super-cheap tickets, they will do so, with a vengeance. Like octopi, their personnel lurk, awaiting passengers who haven’t researched every last nuance of their terms and conditions. In our case, they got us at the Gate. One of our wheelie bags, reassuringly labelled ‘cabin friendly’ by Kangol, narrowly failed Ryan Air’s infamous blue cage. Only two weeks before, that same bag had been carried… Read Full Review

“Nothing compares to Ryanair”

Written on: 20/08/2013 by ytaroyan (1 review written)

Ryanair charged us an extra £210 at the airport just because we didn't read their small print and didn't print out our boarding passes. The boarding pass is issued after a long and tricky online procedure during which you have to be very careful in order to avoid extra payments for services which you don't need. I believe that is how they make their money. AFTER we made the payment at the airport they began challenging the validity of the visa issued to my wife by the Spanish Consulate in… Read Full Review

“Ryanair are what's wrong with comapnies today!”

Written on: 17/08/2013

I made a booking, received all my confirmations, with codes and prices charged. Only to now see that among all the emails they sent, one sent later said the booking had been cancelled by them. No help number, no reasons, no way of reaching them. They have sent me multiple emails since asking me to check in, with tips for my trip and reminders about travel. Customer service has been of no help via email, and I can not find a phone number that worked anywhere online! Never, ever again! So… Read Full Review

“stick to rules ”

Written on: 14/08/2013 by pazzers (1 review written)

After booking a last minute flight with Ryanair to Palma in August 2013 I read some reviews and was horrified and nervous. My experience was absolutely fine I weighed my luggage and stuck to the strict guideline measured my hand luggage printed off my boarding passes etc. I found check in efficient a little bit like ratrace getting a seat but as a parent whose main aim is to keep my children safe and happy I watched for the gate number and made sure I was close to the start of the queue so we… Read Full Review

“Hidden cost”

Written on: 06/08/2013 by iceman65 (1 review written)

First time with Ryanair and the last.We got stung for our luggage on the return flight from Tenerife. We had missed the small print that explained you had to pay for luggage seperately on flights in & out. Cost us £400! to get our cases home. Arguably our fault, but we feel this was not explained clearly to us at any time.Help line terrible, with poor english speaking. Was on time, but a battle for seats. Expensive lesson learn't… Read Full Review
