“This phone is very average and I feel that I have not...”

Written on: 08/02/2003 by KiZzA. (1 review written)

This phone is very average and I feel that I have not received what I have payed for. While the phone is lightweight and somewhat stylish, it has toyish look to it: it's looks like a toy. I HATE the buttons, the up button is stiff and it requires slightly extra effort to press. When you press the buttons, it makes a relatively loud clicking noise. I suggest Sony Ericsson release a soft buttons for the phone. The games are very boring, and I as disappointed to find that didn't even have… Read Full Review

You can download ringtones - you press the quick access key for the mobile internet & then choose Go to Bookmark which takes you to the Sony Ericsson site. Then you choose Mobile Fun & Ring Melodies, select T200 & choose your tune.

“Once again, a phone manufacturer released a product...”

Written on: 12/12/2002 by Steph. (1 review written)

Once again, a phone manufacturer released a product that wasn't "finished", which is a shame for such a beauty. For example, I found impossible to edit wallpapers I received as text, even if I could watch them in my messages. I couldn't hide my number also. Or the progressive ring was so progressive that it went on answer phone before I could properly hear it... And a lots of little things I found quite annoying when accumulated... All in all I strongly advise you to invest a few more pounds… Read Full Review

This is a great moblie phone, but not the greatest simply beacause we all know that the ringtones and logos and such things are better on nokia phones. That is something sony ericsson can't understand but as for me I understand it, and that is what makes nokia always overcome ericsson… Read Full Review

Written on: 06/12/2002 by Ash. (1 review written)

I bought this phone to replace my, now slowly dying, Sony J5 (I've dropped it one too many times, including in a puddle - that was 7 months ago and it still works most of the time). Text Messaging is clearly one of the greatest phenomenon's in the digital era and the killer-app on mobile phones. So how did Sony-Ericsson manage to get it so wrong? Problem 1: T9 dictionary doesn't include punctuation it seems. To type the word: it's Normally you would press the following keys: 4, 8, punctuation… Read Full Review

Written on: 04/12/2002 by The Amazing One. (1 review written)

This phone is the best I have ever had. It has five really good games, looks great, and the battery life lasts quite a long time. Altough the ringtones go slightly fast, there aren't any other bad things about it, as the ringtones are only a tiny part of the phone. All my friends are well jealous of me, and it's really good having an attatchable camera. Also, I have dropped this phone loads of times, being the clumsy person that I am, and it hasn't got a scratch! I'd recommend this phone highly… Read Full Review

Written on: 09/11/2002 by digi-man. (1 review written)

I recently recieved a Sony Ericsson T200 as a free gift from my service provider for not switching to a competitor. My first impression upon seeing the phone was "WOW" (especially the amazing blue screen). But having used it for a few days now, I'm starting to find that it's not a very user-friendly phone. To begin with, the phone's menu system is very awkward to use. Many frequently used features are hidden deep within the menu system or require excessive key presses to access. Speed-dial… Read Full Review

You can lock the keypad by pressing and holding the C button and then pressing 2. You unlock by pressing C then Yes. The English language manual doesn't tell you how to do this either (I got it from the Fido.ca website).

Probably the worst thing about this phone is that you can only enter contacts through the phonebook (or a shortcut) -- you can't punch in a phone number and then save it as a contact, as with Nokia, Motorola, LG, etc. etc.. Dumb!
Other than that, it's fairly easy to use, once you get it set up.

When I first saw this Sony Ericsson T200 mobile phone first, it was love. Now that I'm using it (after Nokia 3330), it's not a big disappointment. Yeh! The ringtones are playing too fast...but so what! I didnt buy the phone for a ringtone! The Keypad is a convientient size and very easy to use The Sony Ericsson is small, and looks cool and the blue blacklight is sweet. As somebody wrote, it's cheap, but it has many features, that makes it valuable. The reception is great and I don't have… Read Full Review

I also have got problems with my battery. It lasts 3 or 4 days (approximately 100 hours) and it should last 200! I think a lot of people have this problem. I hate it. Before the t200 I had a Philips Ozeo, and I it could last one week and a half!

When I saw this Sony Ericsson T200 mobile phone first, it was love. Now that I'm using it (after Nokia 3510), it's a big disappointment. The ringtones are playing too fast (using "pauses" is not the solution, I think), and the built-in ringtones are also SH*T (the T20 was better...). I don't have huge fingers, but it's pretty hard to use this keyboard (too many keys for this small place...).
The menu is slow, I need twice more time to do the same thing on this phone, than on any Nokia.
Then why… Read Full Review

Written on: 01/10/2002 by mm. (1 review written)

As an upgrade from the Nokia 3390, I am satisfied with the Sony Ericsson T200 mobile phone. Although it is considered a low-end handset, it offers many handy features such as Internet access, an included headset, and downloadable ringtones & pictures. The reception is quite good (better than my Nokia 3390) but the signal is not quite as strong as the 3390's. The main reason for upgrading to this phone was the long battery life, and after the poor life of the 3390's battery, this is a welcome… Read Full Review
