Last year I had to cancel an international flight for myself & my 3 children due to my husband being laid off. The travel insurance I purchased did not cover the cancelation. United then credited me our ticket price and told me I had a year to use it, but if I was unable to do so then call back & they could extend it. Turns out this information was incorrect. “Cancelation? Don't Worry They Won't Help With That!”

I was suppose to fly home on 4/10/13. I got a phone call saying that my flight was canceled due to weather. It went on saying I needed to call an United representative to help me with this cancelation. We called and the representative said he couldn't do a thing. He couldn't help me find another flight that day or the next day. Me and my friend had scheduled flights with American Airlines leaving Miami Florida going back home to Chicago today (4-30-13) and due to the rain in Miami our flight was cancelled. “WORST AIRLINE EVER!”

I cannon tell you how much I loathe United Airlines! Ever since getting bumped off a flight a year and a half ago, and trying to use the credit they gave me, it has been one COLOSSAL headache after another. Everything costs extra - seat upgrades (Economy Plus, not a choice when you are booking a flight), change fees, everything. They have made out like bandits at my expense. “Would pay double to fly other than United”

I have a credit with United Airlines from a trip I was going to take of about $990.00 and wanted to use it to purchase new tickets for my honeymoon to Hawaii. Not only did I have to wait nearly 10-15 mins to talk to the 1st representative (who was in Pune, India) but was told they have to charge an additional $150 per ticket because I'm "changing my flight and location." “Always terrible and late”

“worst airplane..no value of time”

i travelled from san francisco to chicago and vice versa.Both the times the flight was delayed. first they told it was delayed for 20 min then when the plane took off it was about 1 and half hohr delay. the staff was rude and the plane smell bad and was dirty. they say american airlines was bad but when i travelled it was alwways on time and beverage was good too. i would never travel with united airlines anymore… Read Full Review

I used United thinking it was one of the good one airlines. I was so terribly disappointed. The plane that arrived was already thirty minutes late. By the time we finally took off we were one hour late. The flight staff were soooo rude. They such an attitude towards the passengers. “cancelled flights”

United was so kind as to cancel 2 flights on my 16 year old daughter travelling alone. Luckily I was with her for the first cancellation and quickly got her on another flight 3 hours later. On her way home, her grandparents had to drive her 45 minutes to another airport for her to get the last seat on a flight departing. ELDERLY PEOPLE!!! Of course the airline basically says "TOO BAD!" “Platinum member gets seat downgraded by computer to...”

This is the worst airline I have experienced in 15 years.  If this is how your platinum member is treated, you will get my bad review on every website and to every person available. Unbelievable experience! My 2.33pm flight from Indianapolis gave me plenty of time to catch my 9.45pm flight to Singapore on Qatar Airways at Washington Dulles. “Missed a full day in Maui due to United Airlines Crew”

Disappointment reigns with the airline crew that was to fly us from Des Moines, Iowa to Houston, Texas and then on to Maui, Hawaii Wednesday, January 30.
