I recently used SCE to transfer Euros having only previously used the bank. I was amazed at the saving - even for a relatively small amount. The process was clearly explained upfront and they sent me useful financial guides. They even allowed me to pre-book a guaranteed rate on the amount. The registration process was quick and easy and the transferred funds were in my account within 24hours of arrival. I thought the process would have taken much longer! For years I have been using my bank to transfer money to my US bank. Once upon a time I used to get a reasonable exchange rate but in recent times it has become positively greedy! I use Smart Currency for converting CHF to GBP, and have been very impressed with the high quality of service that I receive. I like their personal feel and nearly always speak to the same trader (James) who helps me to transfer my savings at from Switzerland to UK. The service really works well and I am always impressed a the speed with which the money can be transferred. I also like the email updates as to the progress of the transaction which you don't get with a bank. When I do it with the bank I always feel like I may have typed the numbers in wrong and sent it to the wrong account because you never receive an update as to where the money is. Good service, nice people and most of all it saves me a few quid. Highly recommended!
