This phone is stupid. If you put the key lock on and press any key, it still makes a tone and the lights come on, so... when the phone is in your pocket and they keys are being pressed, the phone lights up and makes a sound, resulting in a battery that is dead by the end of the day.
    The voicenotes a ...

just the basic usage is frustrating. Just use the directory:
2 ways to access one with the menu the other one with a "smart button": Examine the Menu access. It takes 2 strokes to get the directory, then it asks you if you want to use the voice to retreive the name, then it does not let the choice ...

Have used Nokia, Ericsson Philips and Bosch, but Motorola always much better, easier to use and less tacky. The Timeports Triband facility makes this the only of its kind on the market, it's modem makes it second only to the Cardphone. An excellent phone, easy to use, small without being ridiculous ...

I am frankly gutted at the step back this supposed quasi- next-gen phone is supposed to make. Motorola be ashamed. I'm looking for an opportunity to lose/break this phone and have contemplated walking thru bad neighbourhoods to get mugged so I can guiltlessly replace with another brand.

I bought this phone as it was (and still is) the only tri-band phone available.
This is the only reason it is selling, the user interface is the worst I have ever come across.
Even finding out a missed call is 4 levels deep in the menus, no SMS address book lookup, annoying keylock.
    The screen on my ...

I only chose this phone because I originally bought a Nokia 6150, but then realised that it's software modem only works when it's put through a data cable. I then plumped for this phone, and I haven't been disappointed. I've used Nokias before, and the only advantages they have is a better menu sy ...

Overall very good value for money bearing in mind it includes three GSM bands (for use in North America), personal handsfree, plus a IR modem for use with PDAs & laptops. The software needs consiederable improvement though.

Apart from the call quality, this is the most-frustrating phoen that I have ever used. My first ever mobile was a Motorola and since then I have only ever owned Nokia and Ericsson. This time I have made a mistake. I'll going to get rid and go back to Nokia.

My advice - Only buy one if you only u ...
