I loved the calendars from the past two years, so I ordered 23 for friends and family. Only eight have installed and activated the calendar. The rest of us, including me, either can't install or can't activate. So embarassing - such a dud of a gift!! I emailed them and got a response after three days to say that I used check my firewall. “the yearly calanders”

I ordered calanders for 5 of my friends. I did not get mine it will not activate. I have written 3 times and asked for help. There is no phone number. 1 friend got theres the rest never got. I am going to call myc redit card company and have it taken off my billing. I send their cards but calanders do not work and now I wonder whether I should keep their cards. “2013 Advent Calendars won't launch - Don't waste your...”

TRY AGAIN and download Adobe Air which is free for it to work you can use Adobe Air for complexed Videos downloads etc.

“terrible service”

I concur. I am have been unable to end advent calendars to people on my address list... cannot get any help except an automated reply referring me to the advent calendar help page which does not address my problem. I have sent FOUR emails restating the problem and requesting a response from a PERSON and/or a phone number where a person can be reached..
I also have been using Jacqui Lawson cards for many years and am dismayed that it is no longer a customer friendly site.... in spite of it's charming animations.... hope this starts a chain of complaints that will catch someone's attention at the company.

I have been sent this advent calendar and you have to download Adobe Air which is free for it to work, also add the code delivered with the e mail, it works fine, in fact it is so beautifuly done with great music and the effects are wonderful.
TRY AGAIN and follow the instructions.

I may have found a solution and it involves adobe air and adobe muse.I removed both of these programs then reinstaled them and it worked i was able to download the advent calendar.The problem seems to have been a fault with the adobe air installer file.Hope this helps others.

“Utter Rubbish from start to finish”

I have received an Advent Calender as a Gift but have had numerous problems from start to finish. Finally I get to a window telling me that that the programme is activating, then no more, the wiondow just sits there for hours. I have been trying to commuinicate with someone regarding a refund of the 2 year membership that I just purchased but instantly discovered that I was not able to use it properly on my I-pad.. Same here. They got my subscription for 2 years from my bank account 3 weeks ago and now refuse to acknowledge my subscription. I have sent 3 messages and I am still waiting for an answer.No contact possible, no phone number, no address, no courtesy and soon it will be no business with me.

You`ve probably done this in which case I apologise but keep on emailing and threaten them as I did when my advent calendar wouldn`t work. I told them I would contact bbc consumer programme (which I will) and broadcast this on London radio which I will if the opportunity arises. They refunded my money.

Yes I agree with all of what you are saying. I have been a member for ages too, and the last two years I downloaded their Advent Calendar with no probs whatsoever; however, just recently someone sent me The Circus, which wouldnt install, and I have just bought the Edwardian Advent Calendar and really looking forward to it, tried, repeatedly to install it, to no avail, have tried everything, the same error message keeps coming up! So although I do agree that overall the company is good and the cards amazing, it would seem that there are an awful lot of people out there who are very disgruntled!!

I was a member of JacquieLawson.com and was very happy but when the time came to renew they took payment from me in US dollars when I have a UK Bank account and my bank obviously charged me for converting the transaction from Dollars to GBP Sterling.
