“No St. Georges Day ecard”

Generally the cards are good. Jacqui Lawson has a range of ecards including eleven, 4th July/US patriotic cards and nine St Patrick's day cards. They do not however have any St Georges day cards. “Bad practice - no redress”

Two years ago I cancelled the automatic renewal instruction that had somehow appeared on my 'details' page. Nevertheless, JL has just taken another 2 years' subscription from my credit account. I find that, despite my cancellation, I am still a 'member' (sucker) and the automatic renewal instruction has miraculously reappeared among my account details. “succes went to their heads,now complacent don't care”

ordered a membership for friend in November 2013, payment did show on my visa. No confirmation or required code number was received (that is demanded to activate site so a password could be set to open site) .They got my money all I get is robo stock answers to complaints.Obviously no human reads or answers email complaints.No way to contact them, as their "contact us" is a joke. From the onset of receiving the gift, I have not been able to send any e-mail cards to my friends because the login would not accept my information and allow me into the site to order cards. Used this site for the last 5 years, whilst I love the cards and calendars as soon as one encounters a problem JL are just not interested. Reported to them on 3 occasions over Christmas/New Year that photo cards were not sending. Finally, received one e-mail response which did not relate to the problem raised, no phone contact available. Now to add insult to injury they have deducted my annual subscription twice. “Appalling customer service”

The customer service side of this company is non-existent. I puchased five Advent Calendars but none of the recipients was able to download the Calendar, despite having the necessary software. It took me three e-mails to jacquilawson before I received a reply and even then they stalled by suggesting that I tried e-mailing the recipients with their codes to see if that would work. I am having the same problem but so far no refund. Just a note telling me to have my friends add them to their address book. Not very satisfying!

“Too many emails, no customer service”

People I have sent cards to have complained that their inboxes are flooded with reminders to view their JL cars if they have been away from their computers. When I tried to deliver this feedback to JL I discovered that there is NO customer service, and I wasted a lot of time trying to find it. I consider this to be a disrespectful way to treat your customers and will not renew my subscription when it runs out. I have been a long time subscriber of Jacquie Lawson's cards, which I feel are the best on the 'net. Period. I love the Advent Calendars, although I confess the "2013 Downtown Abbey" version isn't my favorite. I agree - I have been a subscriber for years, but I am locked out one month before my renewal date - with them pestering me to re subscribe to access and send their cards - I feel I am being blackmailed to continue when I would have naturally renewed anyway...their response to requests for help have been poor. I sent Thankgiving cards at end of November but couldn't send one Christmas card. I am fed up and will not recommend them again.

I totally agree with all the comments about the latest Jacquie lawson advent calendar. I have purchased all the previous advent calendars & have found them to be much more interesting than this latest one. Previous ones (London & Alpine village & one other) have incorporated the daily items into the main scene, but this one has only done that on a couple of days, making the daily scene very boring. “Just cancelled my annual subscription”

Been using Jacquie Lawson Cards for past 7-8 years. Each year cards have become less interesting constantly using the dog & cat. Things came to a head when I was asked to renew for another year. Apathy takes over & I thought I could always send some of the older, more classical cards such as "The 12 Days of Christmas" so I used my UK credit card as I was asked to pay £7.25. I absolutely agree, useless office back up and I landed up making a complaint to Paypal who are now investigating them.
I feel they work on the assumption that its a small amount of money we each pay and will the customers be prepared to fight for a refund. I say YES and if we all did they would either go under or pull their socks up, disgraceful attitude. Linda

I'm pleased (in a way!) it's not just me.
I would love to know if Jacquie Lawson ever goes down to her complaints dept, or if she just concentrates on coming up with another inane card design. Or maybe she spends all her time in The Bahamas and can't be bothered if she gets a few complaints.

We have been subscribers since Jacquie Lawson answered emails herself! We accept that things change but one hopes it's for the better. Not so. The original cards are still the best in terms of sentiment, originality, humour, and charm. Many now look and sound tired, repetitious, and condescending.
