Thank goodness for Barclaycard's software, which "bounced" my card transaction, told me it was in Hong Kong (which is supported by the dialling code, tone and hours of operation) and leads me to the conclusion that the Union Jack on the website and a dubious address in Poole, Dorset is all part of a counterfeit scam and I have told Trading Standards accordingly. They have constantly broken their promises about delivery, and I have now told them I no longer want these glasses and to refund my payment. This they have also failed to do. I ordered Persol Sunglasses from SmartBuyGlasses as they were £15 cheaper than UK websites, despite the negative review as thinking that credit card gives you protection. Anyway the first pair I ordered I found out were out of stock after 7 days. I changed the model to another Persol and waited 6 weeks, they kept palming me off with 'next week' emails. I found out after buying that this company is not uk based, but is in fact located in hong-kong. I was initially worried, and since the glasses were late i was thinking that the money was lost.
But a week or so later here they are.
Cant find a singe fault, the prescription is perfect, it matches another pair of glasses i have bought in the uk, the frames are clearly genuine and spot on.
