Booking.com customer service is available to assist guests 24 hours a day/7 days a week to assist guests anytime there is a problem with a property booked on Booking.com. Additionally, on the email confirmation you were sent, there is a map that will provide directions from any destination, to the property that would have been an excellent tool to assist you in with directions. I have booked two rooms in the Cumberland hotel in Bournemouth for May 2015 the cost of which was £200. I have asked the hotel over the phone if I could rearrange the date they said yes no problem over the phone then when they realised I had booked with Booking.com they apologised and said that they couldn't alter the dates as it was Booking.com's policy. I am sorry to hear about this.
Properties who advertise on Booking.com set the rate/policy of the rooms that are advertised on Booking.com, as well as determining if a guest can make modifications outside of that policy.
While Booking.com requires a valid credit card to make a booking, unless clearly indicated prior to booking, Booking.com does not charge guests (a booking fee or process payment). All details are forwarded to the property, who will process payment within the terms of the booking. I would like to look into this further for you. The first thing to know about Comarquinal is that it is not a hotel. It can be hard to find the first time. The Internet service is spotty. Getting your luggage to your room can be challenging because there are no paved roads --- and lots of grass --- leading to the property. I want to give them 0 stars if I could. I cancelled almost a week prior to the deadline of making changes to my reservation. 

I never reserved with the Howard Johnson (near sea world) directly. I only got one confirmation which is from Booking.com and then a cancellation saying I will be debited $0.

I can affirm that this is my own experience. Even if you booked the residence and lived there for quite a while, when someone is willing to pay a higher price to live in this residence, you will got kicked out immediately. My own experience is that the house owner forced us to leave in two days after someone agreed to pay him a higher amount of money to live in this Daerim Apartment in YongSan. it's a long story, I called booking to see if the residence had an elevatot they said yes....it did not. I am handycap. need to be on the main floor. Had to look for another hotel. I have written to you about this maybe 6 times. Each time a new customer service responds. You need to get your act together. I received a 50% discount from the hotel that was so bad, but when I refused to go to the next residence, they kept my deposit. Who is to blame? All I know, we lost alot of money, and every one is passing the buck. Not far. A company as big as yours should have some responsibility. the bad one was Booking # 606464603. The one that I paid the Deposit to (I don't blame them) # 304488292. I would appreciate YOU sending me my deposit back.

4 Cumberland Place, York was the dirtiest place I have ever encountered. It was dusty, had a dirty bathroom and kitchen and the walls were stained and grimy. Room description on their site for City View Hotel, double for single occupancy, explicitly listed a bath (as well as shower). Stayed at Rodeway Inn in Greensburg. If I were you I take them off your list. Rooms are not whats shown and had no room serviced for 3 days that we were there. Toilet ran, towels were like sandpaper. Saw last response from hotel owner. Was away and could not reply. I had the maid service out everyday someone is not telling the truth. Every night when we came back the sign was still on but turned over and I did not do that. Yes I did have to go down for my own towels after I pressed the issue. Why do you not know when your employees are coming in, don't tell me you don't know when they will arrive. Like I said I will NEVER stay there again and will let other people know too.
