“Awful company to avoid at all costs!”

Simply the worst experience I've ever had with any insurance company in my life, all 50 something years of it. So disappointed with product and unbelievably poor service. This really is the Fawlty Towers of insurance companies. I believe policy's are set up with false information input by the seller on the phone, who will tell you everything is just fine, to facilitate a sale and hence their commission. If you're sucked in by the whole green thing, which I don't believe this is genuine either, just be aware you may not be driving an insured car, and, you will pay a premium for the trouble.. Awful awful awful awful!

“RIP OFF”

All can say keep well away always trying to rip you off and there charges for doing things to your insurance is wicked plus charges for canceling your insurance costs 30 pounds as well worst company i have ever been with in 50 years of driving BE WARNED DO NOT USE .

“cancelled my insurance!!”

They were unable to collect payment on 15th December 2015 Got an email asking to call them on 2nd Jan. They were not in the office until 4th Jan. Phoned and they've cancelled ny insurance on 2nd. The email stated if I don't contact them within 48 hours my policy may be cancelled. I was informed they actually cancelled on 2nd! (even though you couldn't call them at the weekend) disgusted.

“Breakdown”

After calling the breakdown service after breaking down on a very busy roundabout I found the contact staff extremely helpful and reassuring. I was told that they would aim to attend within the hour. Breakdown recovery arrived in 40 minutes. Took my car on to the garage for repair. Also, phoned an hour later to check they had arrived. Very impressed.

“DO NOT TOUCH!!! HIDDEN COSTS EVERYWHERE!!”

Giving them a one star was the lowest i could give i wouldnt give them any through choice! We were moving address and asked for a quote for our new address which was a mile away from where we were originally. The quote was near double what we were paying originally and we would have to pay £30 admin costs on top for the priviledge of moving!! So we moved house, did the old search engine search for a new insurance quote as we cant afford to pay double the quote. All other top quotes with others insurers were cheaper than our original quote for where we lived by nearly £200 a year so we rang Green Insurance to cancel our insurance. Pretty straight forward or so you think.... Was expecting the £30 charge for cancelling (even though £30 admin fee in this day and age is disgusting in my eyes) but no £68 !!!! absolutely fuming! so we tell them we paid our monthly £45 or so payment less than a week ago so can we get a refund of some amount from that - no! so in a nutshell moving house which had to be done as we have five children three of which have autism, landlord had sold our old house cost us £68 to cancel £103 deposit for new insurance £45 monthly cost with old insurer - and a whole load of grief moral of the story 1) stay away from green insurance company 2) read every single piece of small print info before agreeing to the cheaper quote on compare sites like we did lst year as you may end up with idiots like these!

“"READ THE SMALL PRINT"”

After selling my car I cancelled my policy and received a bill for £160..... When I challenged this I was told that I should have read the small print and if I didn't pay an external enforcement agency would be appointed to collect the many. I didn't even refuse to pay it they just threatened me with this to make their point. Highly unprofessional, I have never been treated this way by any company that I have dealt with in my 47 years. Avoid like the plague......you have been warned

“Renewal sneaks”

Year 1 cost, £590, Year 2 automatic renewal notification just arrived, £1300!!!! Automatic renewal just a way of making easy money off people that are too busy to check and call. Just paid £470 with sainsburys, green insurance would have lost me 830 quid! Poor man on phone couldn't shed any light on why I should suddenly be charged so much. Don't deserve one star.

“Try getting your proof of No Claims from them !”

After cancelling my policy, I requested proof of No Claims to be sent to my new provider. Firstly, I was told it was in the post - nothing arrived. Then I was told it would be emailed to me - nothing arrived. My new provider are now on the point of cancelling my car insurance because I am unable to give them proof of my No Claims, which the Green Insurance Company seem unable to provide. Talking with any of their staff on the phone gets you absolutely nowhere.

“Never ever bother this green insurance ”

Plz people don't take this green insurance it's all rubbish after 1 year I call first time to my breakdown cover which I have from the green insurance for my car even after 2 hours I haven't get a recovery person and on top of that I was middle of the road n they keep saying that if u have a same problem then we charge u then I cancel my breakdown n then they said he was only miles away all rubbish never ever take this company for God sake other wise u will struggle all day also very bad customer service they can't find my record at once Seriously I never ever heard about any other company which I am using n tomorrow I will call n make a complaint n cancel my policy

“Bent As A £3 Note”

I insured my old car with them for a year @ £156. on their direct debit monthly payment plan. They sent a renewal quoting me £480. I surfed for quotes and got 5 - all with the same or better cover - for between £160 - £180. One of them was Green who came in at £170. Later I had cause to visit my bank where I discovered they had planted another direct debit on my account. I cancelled and wrote to them. They replied but did not apologise, they just said I'm insured up to 3rd of June and omitted to answer why they had tried it on; not a word about the renewal/quote variation either.

“MOST UNPROFESSIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY RUN BY MONKEYS”

If I could give no stars for the overall rating I would. Absolute joke of a company. A woman scraped along the side of my car due to her being in the wrong lane at a roundabout. I did the right thing, contacted my insurance company etc. I had to contact them millions upon millions of times, which cost me money of course. They kept saying 'yes we will up date you with the situation' as I heard nothing but was just expected to pay stupid premiums. They upped my premium to £220 A MONTH! when it was £70 before and me being a Student, having that money to spare was difficult. Green Insurance Company assured me that I'd be reimbursed the money. 10 months later after calling and trying to get things sorted, they paid back £999 into my account but then asked £500 back because apparently they don't owe me that much when in fact, I worked out they owed me over £1000.

“I wouldn't recomend them to my worse enemy !!!”

After being involved in a "no fault" accident I find out that The Green Insurance Company (Ageas) will not cover my loss, there first excuse was that it was 3rd party only and that they don't have the details for the other company.... but funny that as the 3rd person is insured with them !!! so once I put them straight about that, the next excuse was that the 3rd party had not contacted them about the crash..... and they had tried phoning but not got through!!! So they are pretty much useless as far as insurance goes... oh dear that's all they do ! oh well The Green Insurance Company and Ageas will NOT get anymore money from me !!! I have cancelled the direct debit and found another insurer. When you pay for something you do NOT expect to get ripped off... although fairly cheap it was NOT the cheapest I currently pay £700+ for a group 31 car. Also I was very rudely spoken to by their "help team operator"

This is the worse insurance company out there they mislead people with the documents are by very helpful and only want your money they are happy to take the money but then don't want to help you when u have an accident they lie to you even if you have the paper work in front of you that says different please avoid at all costs do not give this company your money!! I would not recommend these to my worse enemy. I found these on confused.com and didn't read reviews first but wished I did but no longer with these thank god!!!

“Appalling, incompetent and dangerous”

I have never written a review for anything on line before today but feel so outraged by this company whom I have been paying for several years for breakdown cover.This will be the first and last time I ever use them. I called them out a few days ago with a (correctly) suspected flat battery at 4.50pm outside my office. I lost count of the amount of calls I made to ask when help was coming especially as a lone female on a freezing cold night .. I dread to think if I had been ill, in an accident,elderly, with kids,etc. I was not far from a motor way and large town, there were no nearby accidents, no snow, and rush hour had well passed after FOUR AND A HALF HOURS OF WAITING, so absolutely no excuse for delays. Every time I called, they could not find my details, even though I repeated them umpteen times from the letter in front of me. Promises to up date me, or to try to find a different garage ,were empty. I asked to speak to a manager and was kept waiting on their line as usual (my mobile bill will be through the roof).When I did, he firstly tried to blame me for not ringing a number which I had allegedly been given by one of his staff .. this was nonsensical ..why wouldn't I have done this? And how did I know the name of a local firm who had been allegedly on their way for the past 4 hours unless they had arranged this and told me themselves? He back tracked but then started to blame the garage (whom they commissioned and did not provide an alternative for). He promised he would investigate my complaint and contact me by yesterday ... Still waiting.. The garageat fault too - they also could have called me hours earlier. Had I known how long this was going to take, I could have got a lift home and returned later instead of getting home 5 hours after I had left work, absolutely frozen and exhausted. Although my cover still runs with this firm having paid upfront for it last year, I have now bought new cover elsewhere as I cannot trust this inept, unreliable and dangerously irresponsible company to rescue me or any passengers.If I knew where else to take this complaint to, I would, to save others from a dreadful experience.

“Absolutely Terrible - Won't Deal with Again!”

I have had car insurance with this company for the past year. All documents were online which is fine - if the password they send you to be able to access them works. Eventually got access and everything was fine - until it came to renewal. The contract said my cover would roll over the the next year unless I contacted them to cancel. I was happy for it to roll over and direct debits continued to come off my account. All good - UNTIL I tried to access my new documents online. Usual hassle - eventually got on line only to find there were no new documents and all that was available was my previous documents. Tried to call them but couldn't get through so requested a reissue of of documents online which said they would be sent out within 2 days. Two days passed and no documents so again tried to call but no reply. Sent and email to customer services which issued an automatic response to say they would be in contact shortly. Eventually got a reply and again I requested a copy of my documents to which they said no problem they'd get them out to me. Note I supplied all my details name, policy number etc. No documents arrived and again I contacted them to query when I could expect to receive them. I got a reply saying they could not locate my policy and could I provide my postcode which I did. Since then I have heard nothing?! The DVLA site showed that I was insured I just didn't have access to my documents. Have emailed them back several times asking where we're at with this but they have taken to not replying at all?! Great customer service. So I cancelled my direct debit and went back to Direct Line. Will never give this company my business again and would advise everyone to steer well clear. Incompetence and very poor customer service. Quick to take your money but nothing in return. Lesson learnt!

I am having the same trouble. I have had a payment out of my bank for double the amount that I was paying before my renewal and now cannot access my details or get hold of them. I need to send in a no claims proof letter for insurance of another car I own. am so frustrated. not sure why you cant access your own account online seeing as its being paid for.
