Great service and a speedy repair of my mini. Would recommend to anybody with a German made vehicle.

I have used A1 Specialist Cars in Stevenage for over 2 years and they are absolutely brilliant. They provide a friendly efficient service, keep you informed and the rates are very reasonable. You can trust their work which is first class. I Cannot recommend them highly enough!

If you want to bin near £200 just for ‘inspection’ for them then to give you inadequate quote near the total value of the car to fit couple of parts and adjust couple of bits, this place is for you. Just delusional pricing. Staff are nice but a waste of cash. Maybe good for insurance work, when they cover the costs. Otherwise, not fit for purpose. That’s why they’re always empty.

Unprofessional!!! They book me at 8:00 o’clock and put my car o stand for geometry on 13:00… After I finished my shift at 2 in the morning, wake up at 7 to be at 8:00 on A1 Service Cars… they put my car on stand on 13:00, I walk 45 min back to my home… I need to take one they off from work because you don’t have BRAIN!!!! THIS WILL BE FIRST AND LAST TIME WHEN I BRING one from my 3 Mercedes-Benz to you. You should tell me that you don’t have brain and ask me to bring my car at 8 and you will put just on 1/pm my car on geometry… THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR MANAGEMENT! You don’t have respect for your customers!!! Thank you for your disrespect maybe you should START answer on callS! … when your customers calling you. I've used these guys twice now, and think they are brilliant. A month ago I bought a used 525i 2008 which I took to them for checking over and peace of mind. The service manager there is a great guy, he's very knowledgeable and more willing than anyone I've ever met in the industry to explain and show you exactly what is going on with your vehicle. There is no pressure, only a clear picture of what is needed, how much it will cost, and ideally when you should have it done by. It turns out I had some hidden expensive issues to sort, but as I'd bought from a car dealer there was some warranty, and they actually called the dealer on my behalf to sort it out and rang me several times with how it was progressing. A lot of the cost was recovered and the repair carried out in two days flat even though they were very busy at the time. It took away a lot of the stress. I can echo some of the other reviews on here that A1 is a real find. You feel completely confident your car is in the best hands possible and that you will in no way be taken advantage of. The other staff, the owner and the mechanics themselves are all the same, a real team of helpful, friendly and knowledgeable guys.

What a treasure find A1 BN Specialist has been ! These guys have carried out a whole range of services on my Merc S-Class, including: MOT's, Brake Pads & Discs replacement, Electronic Fault Diagnosis, Visual Healthchecks, Oil & Filter change and most recently, a Brake Fluid replacement. These guys set to work, get the job done and give me peace of mind at an affordable price. You will not be disappointed - a professional outfit without the unnecessary thrills (and costs) of a main dealer !

Well my experience wasnt a good one probably because my car its not a bmw but on the other hand they shoudnt take responsibility for a car they're not specialized at. They charged me for diagnostics 3 hours x £65 an hour replaced a camshaft actuator for no reason and the problem was still there and they said well thats as far as they can go so i paid 440 for nothing. So i found a proper mercedes specialist in mk autoclass mk and they found the camshaft was twisted and replaced it and the car was finally repaired. So mercedes owners avoid this garage for serous faults

A1BN has been my second home for about four years, ever since I've owned performance cars. I had an E46 BMW M3 which I took to the person I dealt with and the team for maintenance and servicing. A year into ownership the worst happened and the head gasket went. The person I dealt with and the other man were very sympathetic and did an incredibly thorough job in diagnosing the issue and what needed to be done. They are very open, honest and transparent with their information and constantly keep you up to date with phone calls and photos. Another man did a fantastic job with the head gasket and the car never felt stronger. More recently I bought a B7 Audi RS4 and brought it to A1BN for a health check. They found some important issues which Audi themselves failed to spot in their pre-purchase inspection. Courtesy cars are readily available and there is a comfortable seating area with tea and coffee, and if the person I dealt with is feeling generous he may even share his biscuits. I take very good care of my cars and am very particular - I also live about 45 minutes away, but won't take my car anywhere else. Their labour charges are very competitive given the depth of knowledge and quality of work undertaken. A1BN are a credit to the specialist garage industry.

I'm really happy with the service I received from the person I dealt with and the team at A1BN garage, Stevenage. I took my MINI CooperS convertible, 55 plate in after the car kept going into limp mode whilst driving. It was in safe hands!  The person I dealt with and his team worked hard to diagnose the fault, were transparent and upfront about the costs involved, loaned me a courtesy car when I needed it and taught me more about under the bonnet of my car than I'd ever known before. I'm delighted to have found such a trustworthy team of experts and will be using them for all my MINI needs from now on. My car is driving beautifully now.

I stumbled on A1BN having searched out a reputable independent BMW specialist in my vicinity. Customer reviews of A1BN seemed to be excellent, almost without exception. Having just bought a BMW 530i M Sport Touring with one or two error codes showing, I needed a second opinion as I wasn't convinced that my local BMW franchise dealer fully knew what they were doing. A1BN clearly know BMWs inside out and suspected the cause of the problem on my car before they had seen it. They provided photographic evidence of the source of the problem (which was as they had correctly predicted) so I could see for myself. The bill was eye-watering, but essentially because of the costs of BMW parts - their labour charges were very reasonable for the time they spent. I'm really looking forward to enjoying my new BMW as it should be enjoyed and will be coming back to A1BN in the future for my 530i, probably my 116d and possibly even my 1972 2002!

Fabulous service for our Mercedes estate. The person I dealt with and the team were genuinely interested in the issues our car had been experiencing, and doing the work to understand the problems and get them fixed. I had recently spent an enormous amount at a main dealer, and they didn't even fix the problems, or discuss the car. The experience at A1 was absolutely night and day. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This is honestly the best garage i've been to by far, have been using them for a few years now and it's the only place i take my cars, all of the staff members are very friendly, helpful, honest and knowledgable, if they take less time to do a job they actually tell you and charge you accordingly which many other garages don't do. They also take very good care of your car and are extremely professional. Even looking inside the workshop everything looks neat and tidy which is always a good sign.

My daughter's Polo needed an MOT and investigation of an ABS warning light. the person I dealt with and the team fitted her car in a very short notice. He gave a fair quotation for the work but once again, the integrity of the firm shone through. the person I dealt with rang to say that the job took less time than they thought so the price was reduced proportionally. How many companies would have done that??? Most would have kept the quote the same and pocket the extra Keerching! If you are looking for a vehicle repair and service company that are honest, reliable and operate with integrity then look no further!

I had my car towed in by a local recovery company, Autoshift of Stevenage who were also professional and very reasonably priced. My car was taken into the workshop earlier than expected and A1bn began inspection of the damage to my car. Throughout the day, I was kept informed by what work was required and I was also given a price. Unfortunately there was further damage found while stripping the suspension down and this required further parts / expense, however, I was again kept informed and A1bn were very helpful throughout. I was given a full report of the damage to my car and also supplied with photographs of the further damage found. All replaced parts were left with me as I requested this. An invoice of a full breakdown of the repairs was supplied, he was very helpful and my thanks to him, also the guys in the workshop were very helpful even to the point of ensuring my old parts were bagged and covered so to protect my car interior as I wished to take the old parts home. Again, I cant thank A1bn enough, very professional in my opinion and experience. If you need a quality repair and I am sure, a service then these guys at A1bn will do a fantastic and trusted job with your car. I will most certainly be going again for any service or repair required.

Used A1BN for the first time for my Z3M Coupe. I will certainly be returning even though it's a 90 minute journey for me. Best service I've experienced since I bought the car 5 years ago. Great to meet people who are as passionate as they are professional. Genuinely satisfied.

.. they'd probably be the best BMW specialists in the world! Simply outstanding! Couldn't fault the service I received at all! And trust me, I'm hard to please when it comes to trusting car dealerships with your pride and joy. Had various engine maintenance work carried out on my 2007 335i coupe which included walnut blasting,coil pack replacement and various engine updates. Work was completed in good time to a very high standard whilst I was being kept updated continually via email at all times. ALL staff are a credit! Was greeted with a warm and welcoming smile, offered a hot drink too (nice little touch) the person I dealt with is a gent, nothing is too much trouble for him either. I'm glad I chose the 200 mile round trip to use these guys from numerous recommendations stating how good this specialist is.
