Had my cream leathered, blue beast BMW 540i V8 a week and I'm in love. Had a 320 merc before and there is no contest. This is truly a car to live (and probably die) in. I find excuses to drive it - like popping out for petrol when I could really get it the next day - and on the subject of petrol ...

    I'm a reformed boy racer. I've owned 28 cars since I left school. I'm 39.
    I now possess a 1997 540ia and I'm loving it.
I don't have to prove anything anymore. I will keep a respectful look out for the M3 and M5,but there's not much else that'll daunt me. When I wake up in the morning and I'm gree ...

If you are the person who wants it all, then this BMW 540i V8 is the car for you. Luxury Sport. Most cars advertise themselves as sporty cars, but they aren't...not like the 540/6. You've got muscle to get this 2 ton car moving fast off the line, and muscle to accelerate as needed at higher speeds. ...

Bought My 2002 BMW 540i yesterday. Loved the look and the drive.
Disappointed in the creature features for this priced car.
A Nissan Maxima has a better dash and controls for 20K less.
    Stereo should be upgraded.

I owned a '97 BMW 540i, and traded it in yesterday. Where do I start? This is a $50K car and should be manufactured as such. Let me list the deficiencies: Squeaky door seals, lack of interior storage, only adequate sound system (DSP unit), sqeaks and rattles, confusing climate controls, weak air con ...

i purchased my BMW 540i sport executive car this year, thinking it wasn't that different from an m5. Yes i wish it were but i got a better deal on this, and i love it. It's body is like a goddess, the interior makes me think i'm a king and it has very good performance. One thing i must say is that t ...

The BMW 540i V8 executive car is a monster. There is nothing on the road that I fear while in the driver seat of this stunning 2000 540i 6 Speed Speedster. "Look, Corvette ahead, phew.... on his tail... phew.... he is on my rear view mirror...." And all 4 of my buddies get to witness the Vette Slaye ...

The brute force of the BMW 540i V8 engine is nothing short of amazing.
My ones got all the toys-comfort seat's double glazing, xenons, M tec sports suspension 17 inch multispoke alloys etc.
With double glazing you'll think engine is stalled and you'll be reaching for the ignition keys at traffic ...

I bought a used '98BMW 540i V8 in order to let someone else eat the first bit of depreciation. Wonderful car - my engineering friends at BMW in Munich call it the 'torquemeister' and I certainly know why. This car has a wonderful power to weight ratio - I only wish I could get it out on the highway ...

I have Biarritz blue, cream comfort leather totally extra'd up BMW 540i Sport. Someone at the BMW dealership told me that I can get over 36 miles per gallon out of my 540i Sport, but I don't see why I should want to! As it is, I get 22.4 overall without trying to save penny. If running cost is an is ...
