“Non-existant customer service”

I tried to contact sports direct about a problem with items I ordered. There is no phone number to contact them on their website. Their 'contact us' form on their website didn't work. I e-mailed them on two different e-mail addresses stating my problems and 5 days later I still haven't received any reply. I have tried calling a store but after numerous attempts have given up, as they never answer the calls, the line just goes dead after 2 minutes each time. “Next day delivery? No chance - AVOID AT ALL COSTS....”

Where do i start? absolutely shocking company. For a start I paid £6 for \"Next Day Delivery\" - 3 days later and i'm still waiting. It seems between them and Yodel they have lost my parcel. Sports Direct say Yodel have picked it up and it's their fault, Yodel say they haven't received it and it's Sports Directs fault!?! Complete and utter joke. I'm afraid I have to totally agree, I say afrai because I've never really had problems in the past when ordering fro sports direct, and because vie ordered on a few occasions I know how quick they had delivered previosly, so on day 6 of not receiving my order i tracked my order with a number they sent with my email conformation it said it had been delivered the day after I placed my order at 8pm? But next the column for signature it said not in area? I contact yodel to ask what this meant, after being on hold for 5 -10 mins I was told not even the manager knew what this meant and I would receive a call back shortly, well 2 hours later nothing so I called back, \" oh I'm not sure what's going on with this\" Puts me on hold, comes back.. I'm going to transfer your call to another operator, phone went dead, so phone back huffing telling my tale yet again.. Hold again...then a different person comes on \"hello how may I help you\" oh for f's sake again had to go through the tale yet again, to then be told the not in area meant they couldn't see a signature clearly????? WTF so now I'm waiting for a investigation to take place which may take up to 48 hours. Now what happens if I have to reorder my items if I feet a refund? Will the items I wanted still be in stock? Really disappointed with the service, yeah it's cheap but will nectar months phone bill make up for it?

“Good value but not the best quality”

I have used Sports Direct several times now. My orders have all arrived in very good time and were correct. I am happy with the quality of all the products purchased with the proviso that they are budget items and should not be compared to more sport specific items. For example, I recently purchased a cycling rain jacket for £9:00, it is very well designed and does the specific job very well. It is not very breathable however and gets quite sweaty. “Delivery to Holland worked out fine!”

I ordered new boxing gloves and some other training equipment because sportdirect.com offered the best price. When the email link with my tracking number didn't work I started to google some reviews and was getting als litte worried. I found out that the use DHL for sending goods to Holland and on the DHL website the tracking number worked! The goods were delivered in 5 working days and that was quicker than I expected. “Yodel have signed delivery for me and no delivery”

I came home from work to find a Yodel form on the door mat, parcel in back garden. I went into the garden to look for my soggy box as it was raining. There was no package! Either the Yodel man has stolen it or someone saw him and has stolen it! “Don't buy from this company!”

I ordered three items totalling £54.99 and paid for next day delivery £5.99 and low and behold they haven't turned up they are still waiting at the depot for the courier to pick up. I had the same problem last year when I ordered items on next day delivery (the site states as long as you order before 2pm you will have get them the next day) and they took longer to get arrive than standard delivery! “cheap rubbish”

I bought my son a school satchel and the handle snapped after a few days! Took it back for a refund under sale of goods act and was refused a refund without proof of purchase (receipt) even though I had a credit card statement with the transaction. Staff were rude and unhelpful and claimed I had not purchased the bag from sportsdirect. I wrote to Head office to complain . Eventually refunded this £11 bag 3 weeks later. Ordered online Friday and paid extra for Saturday delivery. Waited all day Saturday and it didn't arrive. Today is Monday and it still hasn't arrived. “Worst customer services I have ever experienced!!!”

“Avoid at all costs”

Yodel (the courier) held my parcel for several days saying they were unable to gain timely access, even though I had been home all day! When the vest *finally* arrived it was too small - the size guide had been incorrect. I tried to arrange a return using their email contact but no reply. The only number for customer services was an 0870 number and I had to wait about 80 minutes in total for a reply. I've paid more in phone calls than I did for the vest. The worst experience EVER! The purchased pants which usually cost at their shop £22 I bought online (after 3 weeks hassles) for £29 each. Don't believe when customer service assures you that you can exchange the goods at their shops, because there is a catch. You can ask for exchange, but in return will be asked to pay the difference in price. Which will leave you with paying the shop price anyway PLUS £3.99 delivery charge on top of that. “24 Hour delivery is NOT available!!!”

Paid the extra £2 for heavily advertised 'next day' delivery. Despatch link says DHL but it goes to Yodel - their new courier. Charging for a service which doesn't exist and couldn't be provided is fraud. Fact that another reviewers experience is identical cannot be a coincidence. How many other people have been tricked??
