I have ordered a Christmas present on the 5th of December. Your website stated fast delivery throughout Ireland. The parcel was shipped and the tracking stated item not suaitable for carriage. Now the tracking number cannot be traced. I have emailed parcel force who said an investigation can only be launched with the company. I have emailed, messaged them on Instagram, tried to message on Facebook, I’m currently on hold as caller no6 for the past 20 mins and have not received any information back from the company. Ridiculous customer service and now not even sure if I will get a refund since no one is responding to me. Just don’t order from this company.

“Avoid buying from this company at all costs. ”

Son purchased RC Car he received it however he was having problems with it running properly and wasn't happy with quality of it. He asked to return it which they agreed and he enclosed note telling them why returning and asking for refund. Week and weeks have gone by and finally they came back saying engineer has looked at car but this is when the lies began. They said parts were missing, it had marks and dirt of it well of course it did I had tried using it. Customer service is a nightmare been trying to sort but different people each time coming back with different things. They are refusing to give son full refund event though it was returned within the 14 days and are trying to deduct £55 out of the £120 he paid for the car saying loss of value! Disgusting company. AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

“Abhorrent Customer Service Attitude”

The RC car was my boys birthday in March 18. After 10mins of use one of the wheel axles appeared to have broken. We sent in photos and they diagnosed the issue, telling is we needed 2 spare parts which we then tried to order, but they were out of stock. In Sept they finally arrived and I took the axle off to discover that it wasn't broken. The problem was there was a screw was missing. I requested they send me some screws (free) so I could fix the car and they refused. Initially they said it was our fault we did not do a full service check on the car before we used it. Then they decided it was out of warranty even though we waited 6 months for the parts to arrive!!. What makes me so angry is that we are arguing over a 10p screw. Why would any company, who cared in the slightest about their customers being happy, not pop a screw in the post? They insisted i pay £6.30 (including postage) to fix a faulty car that they supplied. The wretched, pathetic, money grabbing ethos behind this company should be a warning to anyone - buy elsewhere - find a company with a shred of decency to do business with!!

“worst customer service ever”

I received a model plane with missing parts I tried to phone to get this resolved only to discover the phone number is for orders and payments only ,so I started the lengthy process of trying to resolve this by email,at first they were reluctant to discuss how to go about returning the item for a refund then they told me I would have to pay to return it ,every time I asked how long it would take to receive my refund they either didn't answer or gave me vague answers like "when our technician has looked at it" or "in due course" once it was inspected I eventually received my refund for the plane but they are refusing to refund what it cost me to return it.it has taken me about 20 emails to get to this point and the issue still isn't resolved,I would suggest buying from ebay or amazon as nothing on the nitrotek site is exclusive to them ,if you want decent customer service don't buy from nitrotek

“GS Racing Storm CLX Pro 1/8th Nitro RC Buggy KIT”

Firstly, and most importantly when buying remotely, I found the NitroTek website to be intuitive, easy to use and well laid out. Being a novice I was looking for an entry level nitro or petrol self build-kit. This was really easy to find, and even had two options of a "bare bones" kit, or in a bundle with everything included. I was particularly impressed with the upgrade options quoted on the same webpage, for a beginner this is great. Also the fact that NitroTek have taken the time to produce both a desktop and mobile website makes the whole experience much easier. For anything not listed in the comprehensive data online I found the tool for asking questions easy to find, plus the reply was prompt accurate and unambiguous. The prices are competitive, and the delivery options are comprehensive to say the least, of particular importance is the free delivery service to a local news agent, which is easy to find by just entering your post code. All in all a great purchasing experience and I can't wait to receive the goods, rest assured I will write a review on the kit, ease of build and performance. Many thanks to the team at NitroTek.

“Micro Drone Hubsan X4”

Great service and quick delivery, the item was well packed and arrived with perfect timing and the drone is exactly as described. I just fly it a few time, it's very hard to control as this is not a toy and the controls are a pro version, I will definitely refine my pilot skill and upgrade to the X4 FVP as soon as I'm good enough. The Transmitter works great and the manual is working perfectly. I would probably recommend to buy a few set of extra propellers if your are not a professional as a set will last short. This is way a more serious item than I expected. I cannot wait to try other items to test from Nitrotek.

“Awful after sales dreadfull”

I ordered a rc buggy for my sons for Xmas. One works one didn't work. First of all before I wrapped them the charger didn't work so they sent me another after a big faff. So the boys opened them and one was broken. The steering is jammed and the buggy keeps stopping and the controller doesn't work then it does then it doesn't. Now trying to speak to them is a nightmare. EMAILS ONLY. Arrghhh. When they respond that is. I asked them to replace it but they said no. I have to send it back to them at MY Cost. That's wrong aafter speaking to consumer direct. Anyway after loads of hassle 22 emails later they said they will send spare parts and I have to fix it myself only after I had to video the fault. They told me it's not a toy and it's a hobby and it's fun to fix. W T H. It's not fun when you have an autistic child who wants to play with his new toy at Xmas. But it's not a toy as they say. So what is it then. They won't even talk to me just keep saying everything has to go via email. What a joke. If you a tv and it's broke you take it back and get it swapped you don't fix it and have Fun!!!!!! They said next day delivery for the spare part. Guess what no part. They blame the post office like everyone else does. Very disappointed and a veryvunhapoy child. Which they don't really care about. Simple solution was to say yes send back we will cover the cost and here's a new one that work then I'd have a happy Autistic son and no bad reviews.

Ordered an item on 9 Dec. Item was clearly listed as in stock and as such I was able to add to shopping cart and complete purchase. When I enquired about delivery some days later I was informed item out of stock. Despite my protests that the item was in stock at the point of sale I was simply offered a refund and a poor explanation that the website was busy and some confusion occurred. Despite this experience I ordered a suitable replacement item from them on 16 Dec under order number 100043989. Not only was this item listed in stock but there was an indication that only 6 of these items remained. I placed my order and the stock figure reduced to 5 items, so I felt assured that my order would be successful this time. I check the site again on 17th December and the stock level was still showing 5 items remaining. Today I receive and email saying item is out of stock and would I like to place the order on hold until stocks arrive. NO I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE THE SODDING ITEM I ORDERED AND WAS CLEARLY LISTED AS IN STOCK WHEN I PURCHASED. Tried to contact help line only to receive recorded message stating after sales enquiries are dealt with online only (great after sales service guys NOT). Had no choice therefore but to respond to their email insisting that my in stock item is delivered to me without delay. The silence from Nitrotek following this second cock-up has been deafening. They will not get a third opportunity to take my money and not deliver, and I will do my absolute best to ensure that all of my fellow modellers RC enthusiasts, friends, relatives and any other acquaintances or contacts that I come across NEVER make a purchase from this company. Appalling behaviour, absolutely appalling. Star ratings as follows: Customer Service - Terrible. Feeble explanation at best regarding the first incident and having cocked it up once you think they'd get it right the second time. Quality of Website - Terrible. In stock items clearly are not in stock at all. Value for Money - Terrible. Ordered goods not received on two occasions, how can that be value for money.

“Don't order from this company ”

Ordered a part from this company in September and they took my money straight away. I never received a delivery so I emailed and asked when I could expect my part. I was told that it had been dispatched and they needed to take it up with the delivery company but they would send me a new part. When this failed to arrive reply to another e mail was that it would be sent out and delivered early the following week. Still no delivery - reply to another e mail from me was that I had been told incorrect information but this person would ensure that the order was dispatched that day and put on 48hr delivery and received by 31/10/16 at the latest. Still no delivery. Don't anticipate getting it or my money back either. I intend to report this company. Avoid at all costs.

Spoilt for choice here couldn't decide what to by, erm, my son for Christmas. Was able to browse at leisure, various companies, Nitrotec offered more for your money. Would like the ability to select the components for the vehicle prior to purchasing, pros and cons of each component with suitability advice.etc. brushed, brushless, lipo or ni.mh. Power to weight ratios, brushless may be too much for lighter cars and nimh may be sufficient also(at a lower budget) for younger users. It would be an idea to indicate the battery connections and have options for additional ones for the model purchased as it will be the most annoying thing with the electric vehicles. Have seen a one star review on here which is disappointing, I hope when I receive the car I wont feel I have to do the same.

“Disaster”

Bought a remote control car in Feb and my experience has been woeful.This has been a nightmare - products that don't work, non existent customer service and no ability to talk to someone. After 8 months of trying to get a product to work, Nitrotek now blame me for all the problems. The first time the product went back they took nearly 3 months to check it over, gave me several stories about where the car was, it had been repaired then it hadn't then it was my fault as I had bent a filler cap on the fuel tank. They sent the unit back, with another fuel tank in the box. They didn't know if they had fitted anew one or not.The new fuel tank didn't fix the problem and I was blamed again for putting in fuel the wrong way! This car has never worked. The current position is that I am waiting for them to return the car (again). If I hadn't bought this car as a present then I would have given up months ago. You cannot call technical or customer support - you have to send an email which takes between 24 and 96 hours to get a response to. That is usually wrong so you have to write back and wait another couple of days. (Not to mention the condescending nature of the emails themselves!) So.....my suggestion would be, if you already understand the products you are thinking of buying then you will probably know somewhere else that is tons better, and if you are new to these products then go somewhere where you will get proper help and support.

“Rubbish customer service”

No contact number for aftersales supprt means you must wait until you are going grey before they respond to your 'ticket' or email. Then the best you get is an automated type response which does not deal with you query at all, followed by another wait for the next response- appaling as other reviews have said. Stick with other online retailers who know what they're doing.

I notice nobody seems to bother reviewing Nitrotek any more on here - has everyone taken the right advice and stayed away?!

If anyone's still interested in this pathetic, backward and utterly unethical "business" with their stupid cut and paste online "Customer Service" portal, please be advised they haven't got any better since the last review in late 2017. In fact - although I would have thought it impossible from how bad the old reviews are - they've got even worse!!!

I've had a major problem with them recently, and called Trading Standards for advice. Apparently (but I'm not surprised!) "Nitrotek" popped up immediately on their system without me having to give any other details...

(Trading Standards) "are they based in Marple...?"
(Me) "Yes - why do you ask...? Does that mean they've come up on your system...?"
(TS) "Oh yes....."
(Me) "Meaning..."
(TS) "Oh, we seem to have quite a lot on them...."

Sort of tells you all you need to know, in my own painful experience.

AVOID!

“APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE”

I purchased a nitro RC car for my sons birthday. The string from the starter unit pulled through as the knot holding it in place was too small. After requesting a replacement unit under warranty I was told these items do not come with a Warranty? and that I must have broken this as this is a common beginner issue. This is not the case as the car was taken to a family friend who builds and races these vehicles. The string did not break it pulled out due to faulty factory assembly. I requested a new part and was told to either try and reassemble it or buy a new one, they did provide instructions - How very helpful. I am appalled that this is the response I have received. The item is not expensive but 1) why should I have to fix this myself or pay to replace a faulty part, and 2) if I do purchase a new part how can I trust this disgraceful company to provide a part that is fit for purpose.

Agree truly hideous company

Our nitro car had 4 fails within 1 hour, took them 2 months to inspect and then told me it was my fault

PayPal got my money back

Will be reporting them to trading standards

Hi, this varies, from 48hrs to 2 weeks, depending on stock availability. Their site usually tells you availability, but is not always 100% accurate.
