“Just Great Service With a Smile”

I recently visited the new Glasgow store and purchased new pair of Cole Mountain bike wheels. To my dismay the wider axles prevented the normal Shimano Rotor centre lock nut from being put on. Two members of staff devoted time and enthusiasm to my problem and sourced the part required online. “Apathetic customer service & faulty product”

Bought a bike from the Brighton branch last week and took it for a spin. After 30 minutes cycling around town the chain came off and became firmly wedged between the gears and the frame, impossible to fix manually on the side of the road, I pushed it back to the shop. It was taken round the back and "fixed". The second day I decided to take the bike further out of town, but the problem with the chain happened again. “Worst customer service”

I decided to buy a bicycle last month, when I went to the wimbledon store nobody bother to help me to o chose the right bi cycle, ther was customer in the shop he show me the product to buy. I approach the customer service they are so busy talk about they are weekend plans. There is two gentlemans standing in the till doing nothing. Dear Evans' staff, Just wanted to commend the person at the Queen's Road shop, Sheffield for wonderful service today-knowledgeable, pleasant, helpful, and non-patronising. She sorted us out with a bike rack for the car and talked me through my problem with understanding gears (a bike I bought elsewhere!) She even drew a diagram which really helped. “Poor Customer Service”

I recently purchased a Silver service from your Wimbledon Branch, The bike needed a general service and the gears needed adjusting as they were slipping. I wanted to join the cycle to work scheme through Evans Cycles. I went into the Evans store in Cardiff where the sales person was very personable and helped me select a bike. Excellent customer service from the advisor in Customer Services. Placed an on-line order on Friday (2.8.13) and after confirmation email arrived and was unsure if Gore Fusion 2.0 shorts I'd ordered included a liner. Called Customer Services and spoke to her she checked on the system, looked through a catalogue and then Google'd product. “Poor, bad experience ”

I have purchased a Norco Storm from evans and was told that the child seat I wanted to buy with the bike was not compatable with the Norco so I was sold a more expensive seat ( which was cheaper at Decathlon) to use with the bike. After an Evans me me mechanic had installed the seat I found it rubbed against the rear wheel! After returning the seat to evans I was then told that the seat IS NOT suitable for Norco Storm bikes! I order a Thule 561 bike rack on a Saturday (20:00 UK time) and the following Tuesday the package arrived on my door steps,....in Salt Lake City, USA! 2 1/2 days to ship from UK to the Wild West of the USA!! “Terrible communication”

Their ability to communicate is atrocious. I tried calling them to find out whether a bike I had ordered came in. I had to ring them about 20 times before they actually decided to answer the phone. Mg bike came in. i tried it and put a deposit down so I could do the cycle scheme. I called em tofind out whether I couls collect the bike once my voucher arrived. and they said yes of course. Great bike although faulty batch and issues with the front folks! Recall issue, but not explained to me till I got there (60 mile round trip) Anyhow now without a bike for potentially 5 days with a derisory £50 voucher to spend for the inconvenience! Delightful people at Evans made my calls easy and I felt welcome. In my experience it's rare to find such outstanding customer service these days, Evans certainly have the magic touch. “Quick trouble free service”

Last Thursday evening I ordered a Scott Metrix 40 cycle I received notification that it was being built on the Friday, I received further notification that it was being shipped on the Monday, and I received the bike on Tuesday!!! “In store - Great. Online - Apalling”

I have have experienced great customer care in store but when it comes to ordering online or by telephone...well just don't. You will receive numerous e-mails promising deliveries that never materialize.Calling customer care is useless. The stock availability online is simply not to be trusted. They will take payments for bikes they do not possess. I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a bike to only buy from a store where you leave with the bike. I ordered a bike costing 400 pounds with expedited delivery because I was taking it on holiday. It arrived just over one week before my departure, but unfortunately it was damaged. All the paint was flaking off the front forks - something which when fitting say the tyre or brakes to the bike surely must have been very very noticeable.
