“great service ”

I took my (very old) bicycle into Evans at Fenchurch Street for a Bronze level service, the bike was returned promptly on the day looking and riding like brand new, brakes were tightened up, tyres pumped up, no more creaks from anywhere. The staff also took time to find the right back light to replace the broken one - Thank You for quality and prompt service, even for a very old bicycle! “'In stock for next day delivery" is obviously not true....”

Because the store I usually order my bicycles/-equipment was out of stock on this particular bike, I thought I'd give Evans a chance. The reason for picking Evans was due to their fair pricing of both items and for transport to Norway, and especially because they stated "in stock for next day delivery". Paid the order on checkout, but nine days later the status is "paid succesfully" without any sign of the order actually being processed. Hi there Balint, sent you an e-mail explaining my experiences with your webshop. You still haven't replied to it....in fact Evans haven't replied to any of my e-mails.
Anyway, here is an update regarding my order-cancellation. Despite our agreement confirmed by e-mail on last week, you managed to send me an order-dispatch and the order was now ready for shipment....except the bike(!). Strange isn't it, when this bike was in stock when I ordered it....
Gave Evans a call today and your sales representative assured me that the cancellation would be registred (like last week?) and the refund would be issued today and she would send me a confirmation by the end of today. Still haven't heard anything.
Hope you'll be happy enough to look into this and fix it.

Evans, Evans, Evans. Good ole' British service, NOT! I checked out the bike I wanted, Scott Aspect 40, located it on the Evans Cycles website. The 'Add to Basket' button was missing for the medium size. I phoned up Evans for an availability date on April 25th. They gave me a date of "5th May". “Good service in London rathbone pl. store”

I bought a bike from the Evans store on Rathbone Place, London, about two months ago and I just want to say that I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the sales assistants were. In total I went in to the store about four times and was very happy about the service I received. The assistants were friendly, welcoming and helpful without being at all pushy. “SHOCKING SERVICE!”

Feel I must write to inform people of the terrible after service you may receive after parting with your hard earned cash. Bought a bike in December from York branch & returned in Feb with faulty rear shock - advised to be repaired under warranty & returned within 2 weeks. 3 weeks later no sign - phoned up to be told to phone up shock distributor myself to find out whereabouts. “Big promises, good price match, poor poor service!”

I feel compelled to write a review about my recent dealings with Evans. Sorry it's long! I would like to write a letter of complete and utter thanks to all Evans Cycle shops I have come into contact with over the past 4 years. I got my first bike 4 years ago and my local branch at that time was Fulham, London. I recently purchased a Fuji Nevada 2.0 29er from the Manchester Velodrome store. I had been looking at getting back into riding after having my previous cycle stolen. “Perfect service”

Bike ordered for my son on Thursday lunchtime, arrived Friday lunchtime. Bike was well assembled, gears properly indexed, everything greased, all I needed to fit were pedals and wheels. Unexpected extras - Good quality tools were included, a water bottle, a carry bag, a personal flashing red led thingy. Price also very competative. “Bicycle Service”

I have had my bicycle serviced three times at Evans Hendon. The first time no one had checked that the wheel turned properly. It didn't because the brakes were not properly aligned. The second time a repair was completely forgotten causing me to return the bike again. On the third service a gear shift needed replacing. It was replaced with a faulty mechanism. “inner tubes”

Purchased my bike from the york store 8/11.Had a problem with the front brake and took it back to the shop the next day.The problem was with the brake cable and it was replaced there and then.I have been very pleased with the bike.One problem I have had is that the tyres dont hold there pressure for very long so and needed to be pump up just about every time Iused it.So I put Slime in both tubes.This made no difference and the Slime started blocking the valves.So I decided to replace the inner… Read Full Review

Just wanted to say how pleased I am with my item and the level of customer service provided. I got my new specialized helmet at an absolutely bargain price as it was reduced by 40% on the website from £50 to £30. I didn't have to pay any postage and I got it delivered the next day. I think that's absolutely brilliant service. You usually get little/no discount on things these days and postage is usually about £6 for a standard Royal Mail 3-5 day delivery.
