OK, finally community manager at Face Book helped.
Will, was able to assist me a great deal. He directed customer service to get clarification on what happened and etc. Most importantly, they managed to provide an answer as to what caused the delay in responses. Upon solving their internal email issue, my order was shipped and I have received it within 3 working days via UPS. What a nightmare!
I have had nothing but trouble with this company, their customer service (or lack of) is appalling.
I ordered a bike which I was told was in stock and ready to be dispatched within 3 working days. This is by far the most irresponsible online retailer I have come across!
Online inventory clearly indicated there were stock for my desired wheel set and I have not gotten any shipping info for over 11 Working days now! International calls were also not answered and put on hold under IVR!

I found the reviews on here after buying from Evans cycles for a while I am really suprised by the reviews, I have pretty much excellent service from them and must have bought 10-12 items, yeah I have had out of stock issues but they seemed to sort it pretty quickly, I phoned once or twice and got the answers I needed. Here is the letter I am writting to Evan's Cycles:
I was not sent any notification about there being no stock or that there would be any prolonged wait for my item. I took note of the 3-5 day shipping time for an order the size of mine, I also noticed that larger items are 5-7 days. Bunch of clowns.
Atrocious from beginning to end. Avoid like the plague. Customer service was non-existent; Staff are neither knowledgeable or pleasant; Promise are made and broken from one moment to the next.
Ordered product, not told it was out of stock so waited a week for delivery. I called up to ask its location and told it was still out of stock but it would be shipped to me express delivery the following day from a store.

Un - fracking - believable
I've been waiting for my order(GT Transeo 3.0 Disc) for 12 days now (which was supposed to be delivered in 3-5 days). It is literally impossible to reach their customer service. Wasted 40 minutes on phone listening to their "your call is important for us" bs.

I usually use wiggle or chain reactions for online shopping and have never had a problem. I used Evans on this occasion as they had a sale on the helmet I wanted.
Delievery time quoted as 3 - 5 days. I'm still waiting 12 days later. Tried ringing customer services but gave up after 20 minutes wait. Tried emailing customer services but got nothing back. probably the worst customer service I have experienced. was asked to pick my bike up after it had been serviced and when I rode it the bearing in the front wheel was gone. How they could have missed this i have no idea. the apologised and asked me to pay for a new wheel which would be needed to replace the existing one.
I go back to the store to collect my bike and they charge me for the service and the wheel which i had already paid for AGAIN.

waited for original order 3 weeks to find out theres a stock issue
ok no problem i thought theres another bike id like another 3 weeks another

I order a Mondraker Ventura over 4 weeks ago from Evans, I am still awaiting delivery. I am sent many emails requesting a delivery date but i just get a standard reply, its not in stock once in standard 5 to 7 days build time to apply. Some emails I have had no reply to. I am so fed up with it I cancelled the ordered today.

The worst of the worst as far as internet shopping. I ordered a pair of triathlon cycling shoes online from them because of te low price and free shipping. They arrived in a decent amount of time, however I received 2 left shoes of different sizes. They would not ship out new shoes desite their error, until I shipped them back at a cost of $38 to me. Found items I wanted on their website (ready built wheels). Then e-mailed them to arrange to pick the items up two days later which was confirmed in writing by them.
When I turned up, they didn't have the items, and the shop staff just stared at me open mouthed when I handed then a printout of their e-mails. My complaints to the same e-mail address were ignored.

Absolute shambles at Evans store in Kingston on a Sunday with jobsworth manager who seems to spend more time having power trips on his junior child staff than checking stuff is sold on time/correctly.
