Bike was marked as 'in stock' on the website. But after payment had been taken and a wait of nearly 3 weeks, there was no news. Phoned 4 times and got told each time someone would look into it and get back to me. No one ever phoned back. Emails went unanswered. Staff were rude and absolutely clueless as to where the bike was and how long it would take for delivery. In the end I cancelled the order. I ordered my bike in mid March and after being informed that it was in the Brisol shop visited on the 27/3/11 to look at it. I liked it and as I wanted it delivered and the accessories fitting, arrangements were made for this to happen. I was notified by phone on the following Wednesday that it was ready to be delivered. “Bought New Specialized Rockhopper. BACK brake squealed...”

Bought New Specialized Rockhopper. BACK brake squealed like a banshee. Called store, advised it will be looked at on FOC service. They called me to say it was all done and had adjusted FRONT brake! Went back in workshop they said it needs new pads, no luck. Then changed the disc, still not ready as they had sheared a bolt. I ordered my tyres a week and a half ago , for some reason they decided my address was 11 not number 15 where i actually live.I asked them to change this and they told me they couldn't so obviously I did not receive my tyres and so I asked for a refund. After which I only received HALF of the money back which is only £24. I personally think a monkey could provide a better customer service. Decided to get back into biking and after looking at nvarious companies decided on evans cycles, aftee contacting them and choosing a bike i was satisfied, I paid extra for a saturday delivery. The day came (sat) but no bike after waiting all day. I contacted evans who were excellent and had done everything but were let down by there courier. My son wanted a Diamondback Joker BMX bike in white. Evans had a decent price and as their warehouse is just down the road, ordered the bike on the final day of a 10% discount for BMX. I rang them first thing the following day expecting to be able to collect the bike direct from their warehouse, which was advertised as being open 9-5 for the Bank Holiday.

I had an initial problem in that the folding bike I ordered online turned out to be discontinued, which was annoying as it had been clearly advertised as being available. Subsequently I had two further attempts to purchase an alternative folding bike but in both cases the mechanic at Evans Birmingham determined the bikes to be faulty. My first and last attempt to buy online from Evans cycles.

On 6th of April I sent an order through Evans cycles site, a Maxxis tyre for my bike to Portugal.
It was immediately payed trough Paypal and I received the order confirmation from Evans cycles.
As orders from UK are often very quickly dispatched I was worried after two weeks of waiting and nothing happened.

I just had my bike serviced at Evans in Leeds. I thought I'd give it a try, as I usually go to Edinburgh Cycles, which a little expensive. I unfortunately was disappointed. Firstly I had a new chain and rear cogs fitted, but then found that my gears weren't set correctly. The bike and accessoires (carbon mtb, bottle, cage and saddle bag) were delivered within the advertised times, however the bike had a few scratches on fork and frame.
After emailing pictures, Evans offered gift vouchers if I were willing to keep the bike since (quote) "they (scratches) aren't something that will affect the working of the bike, it's more cosmetic marks".

I decided to return the bike and received a full refund.

Warranty issues with bike was dealt with quickly and professionally. Was very impressed with the Kingston in store staff. They could not have done anymore to get the issue sorted and re-built the bike to a high standard with the replacement frame.

I bought a second bike from Evans Cycles when my former bike broke. It's a few months on and the new bike has a click to the bottom bracket. Thinking the bike was due for a "6 to 8" weeks service, I took the bike in.
