I ordered a pair of gloves, a peg and a complete BMX.
I later got a ring telling me that the gloves were out of stock and I could get the money refunded.
At first I had a hard time (2-3days) getting a hold of the customers service. But after I wrote on the facebook wall I got a very satisfying correspondence with 'Daniel'.
I just recieved the bike 2day (haven't tried it yet) it seems absolutely good for the price! a satisfying quality and good BMX for beginner.

Brooks Flyer S Ladies Saddle-£55.31, Brooks Saddle Cover - £4.2, Brooks Leather Bar Tape- £28.08,3T Ergonova Pro Handlebar
I ordered the saddle on a Sunday and it arrived at my office in Australia by that Thursday! I would not have gotten faster had I ordered locally. The handlebars were a separate later order and it came well packed and completely surrounded by bubble wrap.

Very unhappy the customer service doesn't even worth a star. Got my road bike from Wandsworth branch very poor service.
1- purchased a female bike gave me male saddle, don't change it!
2- asked for a refund as the bike not what I wanted, said ok then saidcan order another brand for me. Guess what instead of refunding my money as I asked and insisted he transferred my money to order a new bike and told me it's been refunded!

I'm not very impressed with the service you get at Evans Cycles. I bought a Bianchi Via Nirone 7 2300 at the Milton Keynes store in May 2010. I've had to return it twice because of broken spokes and buckled wheels and it's only done 400 miles or so.

I had my entire groupset replaced and bike serviced. I booked my bike into Evans at the end of July 2010 and they found me a slot to do the works on 6th Aug 2010. I informed them at the end of July that I was going on holiday on 11th Aug 2010 and I needed my bike ready before then because I was taking me on holiday with me. 3 Weeks and I'm still waiting to get a rear wheel - when the website said 5 days!
Tomorrow they have said 4x's now... still waiting!
They are just picking it off the shelf they say - How long does it take to pick a wheel off the shelf?!
They are great at taking your money of you quickly but that's all they get right - I WILL NOT be buying from Evans Cycles again!

In a way I can understand all the bad reviews that Evans Cycles are getting but in my experience they don't paint the full picture.
I ordered my bicycle over the phone as I chose to use the 0% finance to purchase it and £100 of accessories. When I called I was given an indication that the bike would be delivered 5-7 working days after they received my signed finance agreement. Bought an in house brand MTB, Pinnacle Evo 1, as it was reduced and appeared v good value in their Castleford store. Ongoing problem with shimano brakes, taken it in a number of times to be told anything from, 'we bled them', to 'nothing wrong'. Bike is currently dangerous to ride. I've used Evans for the first and last time. They sent me a bike with no pedals. When I complained they said they'd send some out straight away as I needed them for a bike ride the following weekend. After 2 more phone calls some cheap plastic pedals arrived which would have been more suitable for a 6 year old childs bike. I've had terrible problems with Evans Cycles.
Had big issues getting the bike I wanted in to the store to test it out for size. It arrived dented 2x (we think the Kingston store never bothered to return the first one back, as what are the chances the same bike is sent from the warehouse 2x with a dent in the same place?). No apology was made for this dent and inconvenience caused getting us in to view the bike. How could no one have noticed such a great dent when fitting the pedals?

Having already ordered my bike online I was really concerned to read all of the bad reviews about Evans Cycles and was on the verge of ringing to cancel my order. However, I had absolutely nothing to worry about. I placed my order on Sunday afternoon, choosing standard delivery (i.e. delivery 5-7 days after order). Ordered bike and accessories in early July. Recieved bike and most of accessories within the 14 days. The helmet was delivered over 5 weeks late! Even though the website says "10-14 days". WHAT A BUNCH OF.....brilliant, helpful, knowledgeable, polite and friendly staff. Ok, they were just terrible i dont know where to start....
Ordered a £300 bmx, didnt come after 2 weeks, phoned up and they said they'd have it in another week..., that week passed and i phoned up again and they said that they wouldnt be able to stock it, sold me an alternative, another week went by before i finally recieved it.

I recently purchased my bike through them as they were the cheapest option but man, what is up with their staff??
First Issue - Staff did not know any details about the Cycle2work scheme and wasn't even interested in finding out for me. As soon as I mentioned it he switched off as I didn't have a wheelbarrow of money towed behind me.
