“Good products Unhelpful and unprofessional staff”

I have been a Laura Ashley but fan for years now, But on nearly every visit i have been meet with unhelpful and snappy staff. Once i came to the Bangor store in the sale saw some items displayed on a table with a sign on saying up to 50& off picked up a couple of items i liked, went to pay for them and was told they were full priced. I asked why they were on the table marked up to 50% and the girl said not everything on the table was sale! pointed out this was confusing to customers but just walked off. Another time i was viewing bedding in a sale and there was a sign stated the original price and the price discounted off it and the final price, so picked up but found none of the bedding had prices on. Spoke to a staff member at the till and said all the prices had been taken off because it was the sale! i then asked why there was a chart of discounts when you can't work them out she told me i would have to come to the till to check ! In the closing down sale i bought some door handles which the assistant stated they were non refundable ( which i knew) i replied i do hope my husband likes them ! to lighten the conversation in which she said 'i have told you they are non refundable'! If Laura Ashley were to open their stores heavy invest in some good customer service. If the business is to survive

“Worst company I’ve ever come across. AVOID”

6 months ago I ordered my furniture. 2 items arrived damaged the rest of the order hasn’t arrived. I can’t now say forget it I will go elsewhere as everything matches and I’m stuck with 2 damaged items I’ve now had for months. Delivery was terrible. They didn’t speak English and that’s why the item got damaged. It’s me who is paying the price. I’ve spent £2000 on furniture I haven’t got. Laura Ashley doesn’t respond to their contact form or emails. Try to get through on the phone - on hold for ages and then they say they will get back to you, They keep saying we will contact you sometime next week. Weeks are just passing. Nothing. I’ve got clothes in boxes. My bedrooms a mess. I want my furniture delivered.t. That’s also a joke. Can only come when they are in the area. When people work that’s a joke. Other companies let you pick a date and am or pm even weekends. Not them. I do wish I could canceL get a refund and Id have furniture within 7 days from elsewhere. I’m stuck here. Well and truly stuck. Customer Service is the worst ever. Furniture is delivered damaged after a long wait for it. BUY YOUR FURNITURE ELSEWHERE. They will probably close down and I will never get my order. Thanks very much. I’m not made of money and how do I get rid of the damaged goods you kindly left me?????????

“Soft white bunny”

I bought today 2 soft white bunnies - when i gave them to my girls aged 5 and 7 : the ears of both bunnies started to come away from the bunnies’ bodies and when i checked the ears i saw the thread coming off as i inspected both the toys - would not give these toys to small children as they present a choking hazard - will write in to complain about these specific soft bunnies in the hope no accident happen to any kids out there in the future . Bad buy : i took the quality standard attached to the brand for granted as i believed this would be great quality and safe for children . I was wrong

“DREADFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Ordered and paid for hinges which had broken on a Laura Ashkey Bramley sideboard, and thus the door was hanging off. The order date was 10th October, 2019. Have spent 40 minutes on a call chasing the item when it had not arrived by 4th November, more than three weeks after the promised delivery date. The representative could not find out why the order had not been actioned their end and promised that they would call back in 48 hours. 3 weeks later I have still not got the hinges and NOONE HAS DEALT WITH THE ISSUE, DESPITE ASSURANCES THAT THEY WOULD DO SO, and NOONE HAS CALLED ME BACK AS THEY HAD PROMISED. Worst Customer Service of any company that I have ever had the displeasure to have to deal with.

“Appaling Customer Service ”

Ordered plain white Venetian blinds in Jan. Arrived 6 weeks later wrong colour instead of doing everything possible to rectify their mistake I had to wait a further 6 weeks for the blinds. Again they arrived wrong colour! After a further few weeks wait they have now told me they cant do white any longer the batch they have is like tabacco stained yellow and that's all they can do! So 5 months later I have to start again.

“Barlow corner sofa ”

I bought this sofa an in less than a year the corner seat pad was really flat! I’m Not a big person an I do not sit on the sofa all day as I work! DFS guarantee 10 years but with less than one I approached Laura Ashley for a new seat pad I sent many emails, but they said no an I’d have to order one an pay myself, I was pretty shocked an disgusted as it was a £40 seat cushion despite the fat I paid £2000 for Thai sofa! Even when I had no choice but to order an pay for a seat pad I had to wait 15 minutes to speak to someone then they passed me though to another department. Another 10 mins the woman was quite offish in the phone an just demanded my payment card details no offer of looking into it or paying! Very unhappy An will never order again off Laura Ashley! I thought they had a good name. But not anymore

“Very poor customer service ”

I am absolutely appalled by the service I have received from Laura Ashley. On the 20th January I attempted to place an order online for a High back chair costing £700. I was unable to complete the online order due to a technical error which continued to state “Invalid shipping address” I contacted customer services and the CS adviser from Laura Ashley stated that he was aware of the error as other customers had reported a similar issue. I completed the order over the telephone despite me losing £20 is cashback had I gone through my web order. On the 27th January I attempted to place a second order online to the value of £200, again having the same technical issue which stated “Invalid shipping address” Despite spending hours entering, deleting and editing my profile I continued to have the same issue and unable to complete the purchase. Unfortunately, due to the time, the customer service line had now closed. I sent an email to Laura Ashley explaining my technical issues and that I was unable to complete the order. It is worth mentioning that the Laura Ashley SALE ended at midnight on the 27th January the evening I was unable to complete my purchase. I contacted Laura Ashley customer services department and was transferred to a senior customer services advisor. I explained the technical issue I had the previous evening as well as the one on the 20th January, in addition I explained that I had emailed them reporting the problems at 20:40 hrs. The customer services advisor was very abrupt and said that she was not aware of any technical issues and was not interested in the fact I had emailed while the sale was still on. The advisor was aware that I had spent £700 with them in the last 7 days, despite this she stated that there was nothing she could do and refused to honour the sale items I was unable to complete due to the website error. I stated I wished to make a complaint and she said your comments have been noted and that was the end of their complaint’s procedure, it was clear from her tone that she was not interested. I though maybe I had just been unlucky and there was an isolated incident. Well No a simple Google search revealed Trustpilot 198 Reviews, a very poor rating of 1.4% (85% of people have rated Laura Ashley 1 Star) The vast majority of the poor service reviews clearly demonstrate that this is not an isolated incident. At the end of the day I have spent £700 in the last seven days, Laura Ashley would easily have been able to verify my intended purchase: 1. I emailed them with technical problems while the Sale was still in operation. 2. Laura Ashley must be able to verify that I had items in my basket and attempted to complete a transaction with them, again while the sale was still on. I am a very disappointed loyal customer who should have been treated better.

“Watch out - difficult returns policies hidden in sma”

Be warned if you buy any product from Laura Ashley they will be very unhelpful if you want to return it. I bought a gift for my Mother which wasn’t suitable. Came back with my receipt (a gift receipt) to find out you can’t get a refund with that. Not explained to me at purchase (because it’s hidden on the back of the receipt). Insisted on speaking to the manager (who was in another store) who refuses to budge. So basically unless I can find the original receipt (not a gift receipt) I can’t get my money back. Now also the clock is ticking I have until 26:6 to find the receipt. Horrible policy. Horrible customer service (non-existent). So only buy if you are 100% certain you want their product and watch out for the small print - no doubt a dying breed of High Street retailer whose owners unhelpful customer service policies will hasten their demise. I am one customer who won’t EVER be back (unless I can trace the original receipt to get a refund) so good luck to the Brunel Retail Park, Reading - wonderful example of how to alienate your customers, never to return ... great strategy!!

“Poor quality at a high price”

We purchased some Laura Ashley wallpaper for our daughters bedroom. When I got round to hanging it, about 3 months later, I found it to be such poor quality it just disintegrated. I complained and was told the wallpaper was over 3 years old when I supplied the batch number... quite what this has to do with anything I have no idea, presumably they sell old stock and only expect their wallpaper to last less than 3 years!

“Customer Disservice”

We ordered a sofa on Oct 6 2017 for delivery Nov 24 2017. Delivery address different to home address but they never passed it on to the delivery company. Long delay due to their mess up. CS totally disinterested in expediting delivery. Had to wait a further 3 weeks. Then was told that there was no one there to receive delivery. Totally untrue. Again total apathy . Further delay . Had to cancel the order. Couldn’t be bothered attitude by both Laura Ashley and Delivety company. Not at any time tried to help . Will never buy anything from them again. Even called head office and was told their CEO does not partake in any customer complaints. So another couldn’t be bothered attitude. ABSOLUTLY SHOCKING. !!! Sad ad it used to be a good company to deal with.

“Horrific Customer Service ”

Horrific customer service! NEVER buy from them. Bought a £500 coffee table that never got delivered on the scheduled date. Spent the entire day at home for nothing. As I haven’t another day to waste I had to cancel the order. I’ve been trying to get my money back since and they say they can’t refund me until the table is back from the delivery company into their depot. They have no idea when that’s happening nor does the delivery company. In the meantime I remain without the money, the coffee table and a days work lost. It’s not my fault the delivery company didn’t do their job hence I shouldn’t be the one waiting to get a refund. No effort is being made by Laura Ashley to sort this out. Appalling

“Worst customer service ever!”

The worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time. They put you on hold for 10 minutes, then cut you off. You call back and hear a message saying there's a queue in front of you and they shut at 6pm so not worth hanging on. They don't use out of office notifications on their emails, so you can be waiting for an email reply only to be told a week later that the person you contacted went on holiday that day and still isn't back. They can never transfer you to anyone who might actually be able to help you. They put all the emphasis back on the customer, asking you to send emails, send photos, call us back etc etc hoping you will get fed up and give up! To cap it all they told me that the upholstered dining chairs I had received were not faulty, you were supposed to be able to see the frames through the material and padding!

“Appalling quality matched with appalling customer service”

My Baslow Corner Sofa is literally falling apart at the seams. Technician has visited and agreed .This was almost 3 months ago. Laura Ashley agreed to provide new cushion covers and fix the baton on back of sofa which is coming away from the frame. Laura Ashley said they would send technician to fit covers and fix baton. Imagine my surprise when I get a call from my previous address to say a large parcel had been delivered. This was a 20 mile journey for me. Laura Ashley had sent the replacement covers to my previous address. Upon opening the box we find they have sent left hand covers which rendered them useless !!Laura Ashley requested yet more photos from to as they could not grasp what the problem was!! Photos were sent and of course ignored along with telephone calls to the lady apperntly assigned to deal with the complaint!!Have exhausted all avenues. These calls are charged to me at national rate. I finally managed to speak with someone today who has assured me the correct covers will be ordered today. Really?!!! Am not holding my breath!!! My sofa would not look out of place at the local tip. I have contacted my local Citizens Advice today and am waiting for advise as to where I go from here.

“Terrible Customer Service ”

I don't normally do these reviews but the service is so bad and it is not a good experience spending money with this company. I was talking to a member of staff about a problem and line went dead - I called back to find out rrom a colleague she had already worked beyond her shift and had gone home. I was then asked to explain it all again. I was then told I would get a call back in 48 hours - its now 72 and still no call back. I am still awaiting a credit from Laura Ashley and was promised a call back on Monday - no call received and they still owe me money. Damaged Sofa bed delivered and just spent 22 minutes on phone with operator trying to get someone to call me who has responded saying that I will get a call back in 48 hours. Disgraceful customer service. Laura Ashley I will be cancelling my outstanding orders and will not be shopping with you ever again!

“No refund because I lost grey delivery packaging!”

I bought ready made curtains from Laura Ashley online store. When received I opened and I wasn't happy with the pattern it's actually blank pattern compare to pictures online and curtains very thin. I was not happy with overal look of them they won't refund them

“Won't buy from them again”

Bought a metal bed 10 years ago. Lovely bed but the end caps for the slats have become brittle and started to break. I never thought I would have to replace this bed, but they will not even provide replacement parts or advise me how to fix them. They look bespoke so don't think I can just buy new parts. Also I recently bought a Henshaw chest of drawers which looks great but instead of being fitted with wooden stops to prevent the drawers from falling out, they have those nasty metal clips that you find on really cheap furniture. These are terrible and catch on your clothes, ripping holes in them. I have spent an absolute fortune on Laura Ashley furniture over the years. I will no longer give them any of my money.

“Divan bed poor quality ”

Paid to have a 4 drawer divan bed shipped to France because we wanted extra storage space and this kind of bed not readily available here. The drawers seemed a bit flimsy but assumed that it would be fit for purpose. Despite being used for long term storage, and only being opened 2 or 3 times a year, two drawers have lost their fronts, deformed ,stick and are extremely difficult to open . One has even come off the runners. Laura Ashley customer service refuse to do anything as the bed is 2 years old.Their only suggestion is to pay for two new drawers! I am extremely disappointed in Laura Ashley as I'd always associated the brand with quality. In addition, in my opinion, a divan base should last more than two years and drawers are meant to be opened

“Wish I'd read these reviews before ordering! ”

Really poor experience as a first time customer. Misleading website as you pick a date for delivery only to find out later weekends aren't actually on offer despite it being an available options when they take your money! One of two items delivered on the wrong day and then left at a UPS collection place which was a corner shop where all the products were just thrown in the corner. Chased second item only to discover it's been delivered to the wrong person. Appalling and customer service just blamed the courier and took no responsibility for themselves. I wish I'd read all the reviews before ordering.

“Awful customer service, faulty products”

I bought two lamps. Both did not work. Laura Ashely would not send out new ones until they had retrieved and tested the old ones. They then failed to show up on both occasions organised to pick them up (i had taken time off work to do this) and told me that I would have to wait at home again to get them picked uip. They still refused to replace the lamps even though it was their fault they were not picked up. Customer services said it was their policy 'not to give customers a call back within 24 hours'.

“Bed and mattress poor quality - who wants it ?”

Divan super King arrived June 2016 , legs had no threads in divan to retain the legs . How did this pass quality control ? - Divan after a long period replaced . Mattress , sagging badly ( we feel ) after 8 months , note that the bed is not used every day as we travel with business and are not heavy individuals. Reported issue - engineer inspected and said no fault - " rotate the bed every time you change the bed " Poor and unrealistic response - it's going in the skip ! Sofa we purchased also we are unhappy with . The " Sale " in Glasgow seemed fantastic at the time - we completely disagree ! Think before you purchase.

When the bulb in my touch lamp blows they stay permanently on. I have 5 they are all going the same way. Why is this?
