“My money was not good enough”

On the 27th of October I found an Indesit dryer at what I considered an excellent reduced price offer. An Ideal early Christmas present for my partners daughter as she has just had a young baby and the weather is getting bad. The order was placed but the online system messed up at the payment point so we called AOL and placed the order using one of my VISA cards (It had 10 times the value of the product as its limit available) We arranged to have it delivered on the 31st Oct. At 15.00 on the 31st we called The Daughter and she said no sign of it as yet, so we called AOL to check that it was on its way. It was at this point we were told that the order had been canceled, that AOL's bank had refused the payment. When asked why they claimed they did not know. As it was such a good bargain and despite my being highly irate(to put it mildly), we placed the order again, this time using a different VISA card. A few hours later I received a phone call telling me that AOL's bank had refused to allow the payment AGAIN. I naturally demanded to know why and I was refused an explanation with the excuse the person did not know. I demanded they get the answer and call me with an explanation and that I would not accept any maybe this or maybe that. I made it clear the only answer I would accept was the exact reason that my payments had be refused. The next day a Person claiming to be a manager called and to keep it short this moron refused to tell me why my money was not good enough for their Bank. They were warned I would expose them on the Internet, and I am making a official complaint to VISA and requesting they reconsider allowing this company to use VISA facilities. I give this company Zero stars for service and customer service. I strongly recommend this company be totally boycotted.

“Damaged Goods”

Shopping and ordering off Appliances Online couldn't of been any easier and stocking the appliance that I wanted. Communication about the delivery after ordering the product was good (E-mails, SMS and Automated Calls) with the driver even calling me on the day with an estimated time. Then the product was delivered and Appliances Online fell flat on their faces with the appliance being dented on the front, having an attitude with “its made of thin metal” like I should expect it. I was offered 10% off to keep the unit, which I'm glad I did not except as further inspection the door was also twisted. They offered to send me a replacement in 3 days time with no offer of next day delivery even though the product was in stock. I am now left with a damaged product left in the middle of the utility room floor while I wait for my replacement. I would be cautious with shopping at Appliances Online as they are very good at taking your order and money but appear to be not so good at delivering pristine goods.

“Unable to fault”

Found the web site easy to use and extremely informative with what appear to be unbiased videos of many of the products and good detailed specifications and a option even to ask a question. Having decided on which cooker and fridge freezer I wanted to purchase I checked around to ensure they were not to be found cheaper (they couldn't). If I had found them cheaper and in stock they have a price match promise so would have bought from them anyway. I ordered online... easy... picked delivery day ... easy. Order was confirmed by e-mail. Delivery was confirmed by e-mail and text day before due and at 9.30pm the evening before I was given a delivery time between 7 and 11 am they even informed me later on that I was one of the first on the list. Was advised early am delivery was on its way and driver phoned when near house. Both items arrived together and on time by polite delivery drivers who unpackaged and gave me an opportunity to inspect before I signed. The following day I received a telephone call to check I was happy and that drivers had followed procedure. An all round pleasant experience and would recommend.

Ordered cooker on a Sunday web site a doodle to use price was same as other online stores but had higher stock levels incase had to return product.as soon as confirmed order received email and automated phone call confirming all details.went with free delivery on the Wednesday and 7am-7pm delivery slot but night before delivery got call to say would be delivered between 7am-11am.item was delivered next day at 7am found the delivery drivers very polite and took the packaging away with them.can't fault the whole process and would recommend them to anybody.

I found appliancesonline.co.uk through google search and couldnt be happier. Excellent site, excellent customer service and the dishwasher we bought is great value for money. would use them again and again. The site was so informative with video footage of each product and real customer reviews which made choosing which dishwasher to buy easier. The whole shopping experience was effortless and delivery free and they are going to collect and recycle our old dishwasher I couldnt have got a better service. I will reccommend appliancesonline.co.uk without hesitation. Well done to them for having such a good business.

from ordering a dishwasher and microwave oven at 6.30 in the eveving on a weds by thurs 2pm they were in the kitchen.the order was confirmed within 20 mins and a delivery time agreed. the driver even rang me thurs morning to say he was on route. excellent service and products competitivly priced. would recommend them and will certainly use them in the future.

“Wrong items delivered.”

Ordered a Bosch Fridge freezer model KGN39VL30G. To be delivered on a specific time slot and on a specific day. I had to take 1/2 day off work to receive delivery. The unit delivered what not what I ordered. I now have to take another 1/2 day off work to receive the correct goods. (Im self employed, and dont get paid for time off) Complained to Appliances Online, but got fobbed off, and not even an appology!

I have purchased fridge, fridge-freezer, gas cooker, washing machine and diswasher from AppliancesOnLine. These were not purchased at the time although the washing machine and gas cooker were a single transaction. On every occasion I got great value for money and super service. They really do keep their promises - every time. The website is great. As well as product descriptions you get video reviews. It's as good as going to look in a store - better than some, as they do know about the product and describe it accurately. They don't force feed extended warranty either. They do follow up over the phone offering breakdown insurance for a much better price than you'd get going direct. Fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this site for all appliances - value for money with speedy and reliable delivery. The best on-line shopping experience I have ever had - every time I used them.

After looking at many sites we kept going back this site and we had a trouble free purchase and delivery,everything was 1st class.We could not fault anything about the purchase from start to finish.The fridge unit was was just what we assumed it would be,in first class condition and the delivery men were also great as they unpacked the unit and told us to inspect it all before they carried it into the house then took away all the package material.The delivery was bang in the middle of the time slot and they phoned several times to let us know where they were,Fantastic all round purchase and another company wanted an extra £150 for delivery,their price for the unit was £309 plus the £150 making £459 but Appliances Online the price was £321 including delivery.Cannot praise them enough.

This was simply the best service I have ever received from start to finish. I usually buy large appliances from John Lewis for their service and 2 year guarantee but the product was £120 cheaper with appliancesonline and I am therefore (so far) a happy bunny!. The delivery was several days quicker than comparable providers. I could have had next day delivery for free but this was not convenient so I was able to choose the following day. I had 3 phone messages the day before, updating me with delivery times, giving me a one hour delivery time window and was also able to track the delivery online. They delivered exactly according to schedule and everything was installed with no fuss or bother. I then had a follow up call within an hour to check everything was ok. I was very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend

Was installing a new kitchen and was badly let down by B&Q. Had to source new kitchen and appliances at last minute. Had already ordered a Baumatic Cooker Hood and Beko Washing Machine as prices were very good. Needed to order 2 Single Ovens and Hob. Found ones I wanted slightly cheaper on another site however Appliances Online matched the prices so all 5 items ordered from them. Delivery was a breeze. I chose my date and they kept me advised on time frame for delivery. Was in the middle of having kitchen fitted so delivery guys took the appliances into house and left exactly where I wanted them. All in all great service. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

The Bosch fridge freezer is quiet, clean and has lots of fridge space however the freezer size is small and gets filled up pretty quick. The big box feature is a good idea but it does mean food has to be placed in economically to utilise the space. I preferred my 4 draw freezer which was also a Bosch but broke down after 6 years (1 year after warranty ran out). I am disappointed that I have had to call Bosch customer services already as the handles are faulty.They are coming apart when the doors are opened. Otherwise this fridge freezer is good value for money.

I ordered at 6.45pm and the washing machine was delivered at 7.50am the next morning. I've used this company twice recently to order kitchen appliances. Each time the order process was painless and the items were delivered on the day I specified (a Sunday as well!). They are not the cheapest, so for certain items (such as our Bosch double electric oven) I went elsewhere as the savings in doing so were significant; I'd check online first (Google Product Search is a good place to start). However, where they far exceed other online suppliers is the fact they keep all items I could see on their site in stock (so many online kitchen stores are a 7-14 day wait for "direct from supplier" delivery) and the free 7 day delivery service which was great. My only minor niggle was the constant phone calls (which I couldn't take due to being in work) after my first order trying to flog me additional insurance. I don't find this acceptable; you wouldn't expect this from other online retailers. However, when I was able to take the call, the lady on the other end was very polite and after I declined the offer they didn't call me again. On my second order I gave only my landline and not my mobile for this reason but didn't receive any more sales calls like I say. Overall, very impressed with the service and have no doubt I will use them again. If they could cut their prices to be the cheapest (or close to the cheapest) the competition would stand no chance!

I ordered a new cooker recently using the finance system, apparently I did not sign the agreement using the finance so the order was cancelled. Ao.com did not bother to notify me of this. I contacted them and they apologised. If I wanted to reorder the new price was another £30 more, they would not honour the original price. What a disgrace, I am amazed that the reviews rated as high as shown. What should I do?

My experience with AO.com is that for straightforward orders, with no fitting, everything is fine. It is when things get complicated that their service seems to collapse. Ring them again and ask to speak to someone in charge who can resolve your issue. This might work. If the order was cancelled without notifying you then it would seem reasonable for the company to honour the original price. If, however, it was cancelled because of something you did, or didn't do correctly, then you may just have to swallow it. Good luck!

Most manufactures guarantees cover just 12 months, some are 2 years and others can be 5 years parts & labour guarantee. The guarantee is with the manufacturer though, NOT the retailer. My machine broke outside the guarantee period and Hotpoint didnt want to know, but AO.com were extremely helpful when I quoted my right under the Sale of Goods act and they paid for the repair. I highly recommend AO.com.

I can't remember what guarantee was provided, but it will clearly be stated on their website, and I'm sure it's standard stuff. However, I've bought several items from them and none has yet needed any warranty. Prices are good, service is good, products are good. And the founder has just slipped into the Times Super Rich List, so they must be doing well!
