This the worst host provider I have ever seen. Stay away. My site continuously kept loosing connection with mysql. 4-8 times a day and would not reconnect until I contacted support to have them restart the mysql service. I have an ecommerce account, so not one of their cheap packages. There is no telling how many times it went down that I didn't catch, or how long it was down until I did catch it down. 99% uptime is a joke with this company. I 've had first had experience with this "so-called" hosting company, and I can personally say it was a nightmare. I was down more than I was up, even after purchasing cloud hosting which technically assures you 100% uptime.

I've had to move hosts a number of times, but I used to hate the stress and worry so would put up with their rubbish for months, quietly telling myself these skirmishes would iron out and things would improve.

The number of times ive woken up to issues and then spent precious hours trying to get help is incredible. I moved from this company last year after I suspected sabotage, I then hosted with a company in the US, and all seemed fine until they started taking a mickey too.

I have several of the very best monitoring tools watching my sites uptime and performance, and if I go down for several hours and im told theres NOT a problem, then I dont argue anymore... I MOVE.

This happened the other week with the US company, so I moved to a hosting company here in the UK, had probs from the start, and now it seems their going into my email account and reading my mail - UNACCEPTABLE behaviour, so even though ive only been there a week i'm moving today, and they can keep my money if necessary. ALL I care about is having peace of mind, and I'll go to the ends of the earth to find it if i have too.

If a sites going down for maintenance and they tell me, NO WORRIES. But when these numpties have server problems and refuse to acknowledge to their customers theres a problem - LEAVE. Move your business to a company thats more deserving to have it.

I realize that basic cheap shared hosting has its flaws and you really cant expect top quality for such a low price, which is why I usually host cloud or vps. When Im paying top dollar/pound I EXPECT GOOD service.

Most companies are the same, they take your money and then its FU. Greedy, grubby dirty that will ALL get their cumuppance. lol

“Poor Poor Poor”

So many problems including site hacks & down time. They actually deleted my site by accident once! The worst thing is when you complain about a problem, they will slyly fix the issue and then say there is no problem. Amazingly when you check, the issue is fixed & they make out that you made up the problem in the first place! The latest issue is that their IP has been blocked by a spam house so i cant send emails. “Useless Hosting”

I have been constantly battling with them now for over 5 months, their servers are rubbish and we are constantly losing emails, we are constantly not able to send and receive emails virtually every evening, their tech support at live chat is hopeless. As prospect you'll get fast and friendly support. Quite impressive and attractive. When you have committed and paid for your service (always in advance) you're greeted with "Mr Hyde". I am starting to regret ever hosting with tihs company, the only think keeping me going is the hassle of moving. but after another outage today (31 May 2012) I am at the end of the line, I dont think I can take anymore.

“Worst service in my 10 year career”

Been developing for over 10 years now and got to work with these guys through taking over work from another developer. Worst experience of my life. Been working 8 weeks now and had to call support at least once a week. Today has been the worst though. Been on there "live" chat now for 120 minutes. You'd be hard pushed to find a more inept support team than Web Hosting UK. I've kept track of the last twenty tickets I've submitted to them and they not been able to resolve a single one, it's as if you're talking to an automated messaging service. As the days, weeks and months passed my business grew and grew, and their service became more and more unreliable. Despite being pretty happy with our current hosting provider (unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk) We signed up for their VPS as our company rules required as to host some sites elsewhere. What a terrible service we got! First they were willing to go extra mile and set up our unmanaged VPS for us for free. “What a joke. These guys dont tell you anything!”

This company has caused a serious financial issue for my company today. The servers went down at 4.03 AM due to a storage system fail. It is now 4pm in the evening and the servers are still down. Support staff say they are "file checking" the VPS and are working on mine. This was at 1.30pm. Now at 4PM i am told that i have to wait longer as the admins are going over each account one by one. As the reviews before, their reliability has been poor and patching has caused me problems.

The final problem was them not renewing a domain name after I paid them. I have now lost the domain and all the work I did. They squirm and play blame games instead of admitting errors on their part which has been very frustrating.

Have been with Webhosting Uk for 4 years, and they were great for the first 12 months, I even got a t-shirt from them one Christmas..

In the the past 3 years the service has started to fall apart, the customer service is the worst of any company i have ever dealt with, and the fact that it' an Indian call centre means a 5 minute phonecall becomes an hour long nightmare. The uptime guarantee is a complete lie and they should be shut down just for this as it' more like a 80% if that....
