They have changed something in there food and with their chews, My dogs now have a skin problem which seems to be related to the food. I have now taking them off burns and onto something else.
I am in the process of setting up my own pet shop and have done a canine nutrtion course and even tho the ingredients still are the same something has changed recently after being a long term user of burns… Read Full Review

I bought this food after doing some research. We have a Lab puppy, who seemed to swing from being calm to hypo. He had been on Iams, so we tried Purina, but I still felt his mood changed too quickly. After being on Burns, he is now a lot calmer and does as he his told, although he still has is moments, which you would expect with a puppy. He doesn't need to go to the loo as often, which is a plus and no stinky wind. The food is well worth the extra cost… Read Full Review

My Labrador is 11 years old and has been fed on Burns for five years. Before that he got an allergic 'hotspot' once or twice a year, costing a fair amount in vets bills. Since being on Burns, he has had only one hotspot and that not so serious as before. He stays steadily at his correct weight and his coat is healthy and shiny. Excellent product and well worth its cost. Cheaper if bought in bulk online from various suppliers… Read Full Review

My collie x was very hyper. Since giving her burns food, she is calmer and more obiedent and perform tasks when asked - I would be lost without it now - no other food has worked.

I have three cavalier king Charles, two adults and a 4 month old puppy. The two adults are on Burns adult chicken and rice and doing great on it, and they love it. When I got the new puppy,I put her on the mini bites chicken and rice, and she did not thrive on it at all, she happily ate it, but was gaining weight very slowly, and always had loose stools. She ate Burns for about a month, and then suddenly refused to eat it any more, so I got Hills science plan for her, she loves this, has gained… Read Full Review

My 8 year old Staffy has had many problems over the years with foot chewing and joint pain. She started to turn her nose up at previous foods (she's had Bakers and Jolleyes own brand) so we were pretty happy to find that Wagg (her favourite treat) made food that cost just £9.99 for 15kg. Over the last 2-3 months since she's been on it, she's become progressively weaker, totally lacking in energy, sleeping all the time and her chewed foot became infected. She started vomiting a little over a… Read Full Review

after doing alot of research on the internet i decided to switch from nature diet wet dog food to burns dry dog food.
I gradually switched, mixing different quantities of wet with dry over 7 days until she was only on burns.
She liked the flavour of burns chicken and brown rice and i was pleased because other dry foods i tried, she wouldn't eat.
however, after 4 weeks eating it her stools were still really soft and occasionally runny. at first i thought this was just because of a new diet.

This food is brilliant we used to feed our gsd wagg as we thought it was the cheapest, but was just a false econonmy as his coat was unhealthy and had to eat twice as much. We've been buying burns for a year now and wont go back started getting it on the internet now with free delivery. netpetshop.co.uk seem to have the best prices when i look each month for when i buy, they deliver quick too… Read Full Review

I have had my third Jack Russel for 18 months and no matter what food I gave her she had very sloppy poo.(Neither of my previous jacks had this problem - they could eat anything!) I stopped giving her any treats and only used her food. Iams was the best but her poo was still difficult to pick up. A friend asked if I had tried Burns which I did. MAGIC! no sloppy poos anymore and I'm now using Burns treats too - fantastic solid stools and a happy, healthy little dog! Wish I'd known about Burns… Read Full Review

Our dog Emmy (GS X Rhodesian Ridgeback) was plagued with chronic ears infections; we switched her to Burns and saw an enormous improvement, in fact she went 3 years free of problems. They have recurred recently but this is probably due to my husband adding non - Burns stuff to her dried food(he spoils her!). We've just started buying the tinned Burns to add to the dried and feel confident that this will do the trick. Overall, delighted with the food and wouldn't switch now for anything. We… Read Full Review

I have a 6 month old alaskan malamute who had a dodgy tummy from day one. I made the mistake of presuming that Bakers dog food was a good one because it was on the telly and they said how fab it is even better for me was that it wasnt expensive. To my horror I began reading reviews about it about 1 month after I began feeding it to my pup. Everything everyone else was experiencing was what my poor pup was going through so I took to the net and found Burns and thank goodness I did he no… Read Full Review

I have a 10 year old Rottweiler bitch. By the time she was 18 months old she was usually on Metacam maybe three times a year. I changed to Burns Lamb and Brown Rice, and she hasn't been lame since. She is a very lively ten year old, and I attribute this to the Burns she has been fed on since being a young dog.
The only thing that maybe could be improved is its availability. It has to be ordered from Burns or a few veterinary clinics stock it… Read Full Review

I have 2 minature schnauzers and we have fed them on Hills since day 1, one of the dogs has had terrible discolouration of her paws and beard and constantly itching and our vet basically said we had to just live with it, it was one of those things! So about 2 months ago, we started them on burns dog food, just by chance and since this her skin is no longer itchy and all the discolouration has disappeared!! Would totally recommend it… Read Full Review

We have 4 Chow Chows who are fed Burns Fish and Rice they are happy content not aggressive and do not suffer any coat problems. Their motions are easy to clear up and have no bad tums. These are dogs which can have hopspots and then they chew themselves but since switching to Burns all these problems ceased. They maintain a healthy weight and are now never overweight. Burns is the only food i would ever feed and as you can get it delivered free its SIMPLES ! ! !… Read Full Review

I own a 6 month old Olde Tyme Bulldogge / Mastiff Cross, he has always suffered from runny stool's, from day one he would either have liquid poo or very very soft and sloppy, difficult to pick up at best!, very light brown/green coloured, a lot of the time I would have to do my best to get it up from the grass in our garden, then hose the area down to wash it away!!
I started to look around these review sites and reading into foods and noticed very quickly how your dogs diet can be… Read Full Review

After much research we have changed our dog from Iams to Burns. He has been munching on this for a day or so now so it's still very early days, but we feel the difference is already noticible. He is fuller for much longer, his digestion seems better and he seems calmer, which for a springer spaniel not yet able to go for walkies (1 week and counting!!) is essential. And the price is value to :o)
