Used Travelbag to book holiday to Thialand. After speaking to salesperson l was a little surprised to discover that wasn't exactly what l was being offered but decided to go ahead and book anyway. Unfortunatly for me due to troubles in Bangkok my trip had to be changed meaning cancellation of transfers and the first hotel. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I AM AMAZED THIS COMPANY IS STILL IN BUSINESS. An update of my Review of 11 May, when I had been trying to get our refund of nearly £1,000 since mid Feb. Warning- do not deal with this company. Booked return flights with them to Accra, and Ghana International Airlines ceased trading before the homeward flight. Had to pay British Airways to fly back, and claiming a refund for the unused portion of the GIA ticket from Holiday Genie is proving a nightmare. We saved 20 pounds by booking with Holiday Genie instead of direct with the airline, but the details they sent us did not include the flight reference numbers so we had to call them back for these so that we could check in online.
Also, our special meal requests were not registered with the airline, although we requested them at the time of booking and again when checking in online. Next time we will book direct with the airline… Read Full Review

Holiday Genie, as far as I am concerned are the worst travel company that I have ever had the misfortune to buy tickets from. Not only did they get the destination wrong on the tickets but their customer service is rude and inefficient at best.

I would never use this company again as it is a scam from start to finish. Was hoping to take my wife to Memphis to see Graceland for her dream holiday and it ended up a nightmare that nearly spoiled everything.
The first problem was when we received our confirmation it stated 4 adults in 1 room when common sense should have told anyone 4 adults in their 50s would not want to share a week together. ( I know for a fact I booked 2 rooms )

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OTHERS TO. My husband booked 2 flights to America in Feb 10 and used Holiday Genie because they were the cheapest. The flights had to be cancelled because of bad weather in America. Delta would have refunded within a couple of days had we booked directly with them. We have just got back from an extended holiday to Florida (due to the volcano)! It was brilliant (and an extra 9 days in the sun... bonus)!
Everything was fine, we got an e mail confirming the trip after we booked, I at first was a little worried, so i rang British Airways, who gave me a booking reference for our flight, and we were able to check everything online before we went. Very poor, rude and arrogant customer service. Vacation got cancelled because of the flight cancellations. I was entitled for full refund but the lady says will not give it to me and I can do whatever I want but will not process the refund. I booked our holiday to Orlando a year in advance and was told that the price at the time of booking and as quoted on my invoice would not change. I booked a flight to America, and required to change some details on the booking. I was told that I could not change any aspevt of the booking, the date, the name on the ticket, anything at all. The only offer that I had was to accept a refund of airport taxes, amounting to hundreds of pounds lost. I called Delta Airlines, whom my flightwas with and they advised that many customers called with queries relating to this firm. I've had 2 experiences with HolidayGenie, my first was last year when I needed a cheap, lastminute flight to the states - genie was by far the lowest price via holidaysupermarket. Booked it, a day later got my eticket, deal done, no problems.

I found a really cheap price advertised with China Airlines on their website to Australia. I went through the process of booking the flight on their website at 9am on a Wednesday morning. After I entered all of my credit card details, the booking failed and I was recommended to call the office. I purchased a one way ticket to Zimbabwe on Air Zimbabwe which seemed to be at a good price, when due to unforseen reasons we had to change the dates firstly I was told it couldnt be done, then I spoke to someone else and they did it, I asked to be informed of the cost before confirming.
