Waited in for my curtains on the due delivery date which did not turn up. I left a message to ask what had happened, i was told they would try to find out what had happened to them but I did not receive any contact. almost a month after the due date i sent a message saying i would like a refund and to say how disappointed i was then that evening got a phone call to say my money would be refunded. Will never use the woolworths online service again. (read more)

Ordered some flowers from Woolworths for a birthday and found out the day after the flowers were supposed to be delivered that the order had been cancelled. No specific reason was given just a list that may have caused the cancellation! That didn't give solace to my 80 year old grandmother who was looking forward to her flowers on her birthday! Placed an order on 22nd July for an exersise bike (online). Delivery date given in first email as Monday 28th. Waited in ALL day, nothing. Checked emails, surprise surprise a new email arrived from Woolworths saying TUESDAY 29th. Have waited in ALL day again....nothing. Apart from ANOTHER email sent this morning saying the order had been despatched and to allow a COUPLE OF DAYS! How vague is that? Phoned the Customer Services. Told me it was down to the couriers. Could you call them I asked?... (read more)

i ordered a 32 inch medion tv from www.woolworths.co.uk on 19th july 2008, and woolworths emailed to say it has been despatched, only to be told when phoned by a courier today(a courier that is unknown to me, and apparently not trackable)that it will be tuesday at least before i get it, when i buy online nearly everything is next day, so why the time delay?
a) I don't know what courier is delivering so I cant track it
b) I cannot find a number to telephone for online shopping
c) Email says that... (read more)

I ordered an item on 15th April for my son's birthday on 25th April, I received an email on the 21st confirming it had been despatched and should be received by 23rd, great or so I thought. It still hadn't been received on 24th so I called the helpline to find out what was happening, I was told that it had been despatched to the courier on 21st and not to me, I asked why it didn't say this in the email and I was told that it was 'irrelevant where it had been despatched to'. Very unhelpful... (read more)

I ordered two slob chairs from Woolworths on the 9th of November, to be delivered on the 14th. I am still waiting! The first order was lost, so they were reordered. One was delivered on the 5th of December, and now I have been told that my other order may be lost again. As they are Christmas gifts, and there are only 5 days to go, I am very disappointed. I will never use Woolworths ordering service (if you can call it a service) again! (read more)

The telephone service is so busy, in my experience, you can be hanging on the phone for 40 mins before you get answered.
The people try to be helpful but can only send an email to the couriers to find out what's happening and that takes 2 days.
They are not allowed to phone them direct unless they get permission from a supervisor.
I have now just been told that the couriers have now LOST the order and I could re-order but they can't make sure I will get the order.
I think that this practice...(read more)

I am very disappointed with the level of service from Woolworths customer service online. No good will gestures, or help as to when the product would be available. Just generally a very poor level of service. I won't be getting the book again, as to avoid disappointing the children when they choose something that doesn't exist! I have written this review based on my own opinions and experiences, and the information contained in this review is factual. (read more)

Having placed the order online back in May and been advised by email that the order should be delivered on or before Tuesday, 19th June 2007, we decided to go ahead with this. One of the DVD's was intended as a gift for a birthday, and another for a friend, and both were initially wanted for May.
Both myself and my husband made many phone calls to the Woolworths Home Shopping line - each time we were told we could cancel the order if we wanted. Why would we want to do this? We ordered the... (read more)

Woolworths has vastly improved its store feel, and I like the catalogue and website. They have great value for money toys for my daughter.
I really like the website, and I know it's a company I can trust. (read more)

General experience with Woolworths on-line was not a good one. My goods arrived 5 days late and when they did arrive they had sent me two of the same character instead of the two different ones that I had ordered and paid for. I was due to go on holiday the next day for Christmas and it was too late for me to rush out to try to find the figure that I had originally ordered. My son had specifically asked for it for Christmas so I feel that because I used Woolworths on-line, I have let my son... (read more)

I went into the store today to purchase the samsung Z140V, of which there were 2 in stock. I was told they couldn't find it, and they said I could order online. If I could purchase the phone in another shop I would I live on an island, and there is no other shop that sell mobiles. Woolworths is our only store on the island. I was very angry with the lack of help from the staff. I need the phone for Thursday as it is my husbands birthday. (read more)

Stick to buying in the store if you don't want to be messed around and let down. The store staff are helpful and polite, but the phone staff are unhelpful and unsympathetic, not to mention the lack of communication. It cost me more in bus fares to the Woolworths store to sort out problems, than if I had had items home delivered. (read more)

Woolworths Online are a joke! Poor telephone service, and our delivery date from 8th June has still not produced any sofa's. They are unhelpful on the phone, and even hung up on my partner. Terrible service! (read more)

Woolworths - I have to say that I have ordered everything from a cd to a cordless telephone. Sometimes I go instore to order and sometimes I do it from home. My cd's are usually here the next day (unless I order something unusual) I have never had a problem with them. Once I realised that I had ordered 2 instead of one and I called them. Very efficient, no issues. In store the staff talk you through everything, they show you the web pages and your options. I have ordered gifts instore on the... (read more)

Woolworths are the most ridiculous online service ever. Tell you one date for delivery on line then another posible when you ring up then tell you it's out of their hands as it is their suppliers fault and they can't do anything until 7 days after the delivery date.
You are better off working with some 2 bob ebay shop at least you get it and sharpish.
Slow to deliver with useless on line/telephone support for things going wrong. watch out delivery date given in your shopping basket can... (read more)

Woolworths.co.uk is the internet home of the high street shopping franchise Woolworths, or Woolies to it's 'friends' ;o) You'll find pretty much everything here you'll find in a large offline store, or much more if your local branch is on the small side. It's basically like perusing the shop in a virtual world. On the plus side, if you're one of those who are suspicious of the security etc. or online shopping then it's a nice friendly place online to shop with a name you know and trust. The... (read more)

Placed an order at Woolworths.co.uk for 2 dvd's on March 15th 2002 as birthday presents for 2 people, both on 28th March. The payment of £18 left my account the following day. I hadn't received them by the end of March so I sent them an e-mail with the product details and reference number. They sent back a mandatory e-mail that they send everyone which was no use to me so I was forced to send another explaining everything again. Soon I received a rather blunt e-mail stating that if I sent my... (read more)
