Woolworths Entertainment (their arm for selling DVDs, etc) are serviced by The Hut Group. Woolworths Entertainment were offering an excellent price on a particular DVD box set - much cheaper than Amazon or HMV, and they also offer cashback from Quidco. I ordered and paid for several identical sets, which all advertised a three day despatch date. It's now been over 3 weeks, and whilst a few have been sent, others haven't. Had nothing but trouble with my order! First of all placed my order and paid via paypal, then had an answerphone message to tell me it didn't go through and I'd need to re-order! I called to chase my paypal refund, which they said would happen automatically! (It didn't!)
Ordered AGAIN and waited for the estimated delivery date, then called them again to ask where my original refund was, and where my new order was... and they couldn't tell me because it was nearly 5pm and all required... (read more)

Its been nearly a month that I'm waiting for my boxed DVD set that was supposed to be my wifes christmas present...... Due the bad weather they have had problems - sorry, but I don't accept this as goods were ordered via amazon after ordering this and they came before christmas. woolworths.co.uk BUYER BEWARE!
THIS DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE THE WOOLWORTHS WE KNOW (SEE THE HOLDING COMPANY). THEY HAVE GAINED OUR TRUST BY WHAT APPEARS TO BE BUYING A HIGH STREET NAME BUT DO NOT APPEAR TO HAVE THE RESOURCES OR BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS TO SERVE THE CUSTOMER BASE THAT COME WITH THAT NAME.

BEWARE ORDER DELIVERY DATE CHANGES TO SUIT THEM !!!!!!!!!OVERNIGHT
ordered item on 8th paid for delivery by 10th item did not arrive nor 11th now not due until the 13th. More time off work. customer services especially the managers are a joke cant deal with the problem or organize a refund. exactly what are they there for. 48hrs to get a refund as they have got to email another department to refund you even pay pal.

I took advantage of a 'special offer' for an DSi XL. I was given a date for delivery. The item did not arrive that day. Nor did it arrive the day after that, nor the day after that. No communication from Woolworths or Shop Direct Group (owners of the Woolworths brand). When I called there was a refusal to answer even basic questions. I ordered a book from them - said on the product page normally despatched within 2 days but 7 days later they still haven't dispatched and now they say I can't cancel because it's being processed. Ordered on the 21st Of November 2010 via there website, went to track my order today and to my horror nothing was showing, phoned them as the Money had left my Paypal account, was told they have no recollection of my order but have had my money (£36 plus p&p, was told that they were going to investigate, but I have put in a claim with paypal as this is just totally obserd. Woolworths should not be allowed to trade... they let all their staff down by dismissing them all before Christmas. Anyone who buys something from this website should think about the tens of thousands of people that they let down that worked for them. The fact that they recklessly ran their company without any thought for their workers. I think its disgusting that Woolworths are still allowed to trade. (read more)

Still awaiting a refund. Was not told that the order would not be coming. Have sent countless e-mails to customer services - mostly met with an automated response, sometimes a real life human being will respond but still getting nowhere. So fed up! Ordered using a discount introductory offer for £20 off first order to new customers. The money was taken straight out my account and kept for a week. My order was cancelled with no notice or any contact from woolworths.
Appalling customer service.
Would not use again or recomend to anyone. Buy from somewhere else, might be a couple of quid more but at least you know you'll get it.
This site will go bust just like the store if they keep treating people this way. (read more)

Order cancelled with no notice, no email, no phone call.
Having paid with Paypal, i'm still waiting for a refund too... Numerous emails to them have just resulted in automated responses, and the phone line is busy.
I would never shop at Woolworths / Very / Littlewoods again and would advise eveyone to look and shop elsewhere, even at the expense of a pound or two. It's simply a lot less hassle. (read more)

Generally poor customer service from woolworths.co.uk. Tried ordering using a promotional code I was given to place an order for £20 off of my first order, as I found out that they charge in full and then reimburse the money once they verify the code is valid I contacted their 'customer service' department.
All I wanted to know was whether I will or won't receive the discounted price for my order. This took 2 emails (apparently with 24hr response times!) and 1 phone call over 5 days to... (read more)

My experience with Woolworths.co.uk - they are:
Cowardly and rude. They apparently had a problem with my order for a full week, cancelling within a few hours of the expected delivery, but I still have not received a single email from their customer services to apologise for a problem, to explain that my order has been cancelled, or to explain why. Having looked around and found Woolys direct (woolworths.com) to be the cheapest I ordered 2 Tempo Tub chairs on 26th July. Since then I have been told our order is coming on Tuesday three weeks in a row, & recieved an email about a refund of the order which we hadn't requested and they knew nothing about!

I ordered from this website because of the delivery time. The website claims to offer next day delivery. Once the order was processed the date given was two days later - ok. But 3 days later I am still waiting and the goods have not even been dispatched! The "track now" function on the website shows the delivery date as yesterday!!! The call centre staff seem unable to do anything about this. A fancy dress costume which arrives after the party is clearly useless. Not impressed. (read more)

Very disappointed, thought I would see what the new online Woolworths had to offer, ordered Vtech Kids Digital Camera which was on offer for a great price. Ordered it 10th November with a date of delivery 2nd December as they were awaiting stock. Still waiting now and they have put the date back twice now till the 16th December! I'm not risking it that late so now going to try and get a refund and buy the product elsewhere! Very disappointed bring back the high street Woolworths!!! (read more)

Ordered a child's toy as a present, as they were the only place offering next-day delivery, which I needed. I paid the extra fee for morning delivery, too.
